Do not rent from American Canyon location. Wasted almost an hour of my day with the owner of this location. he cannot operate a computer, and after he was getting frustrated with his lack of computer knowledge he finally said " the system says that your vehicle will not work with this trailer. I went to my vehicle downloaded and opened the haul app and made the reservation. I went inside and said I have a reservation and was told by this owner that the system says that my vehicle would not work so he could not help me.. Called customer service to advise of my issue with this location, and they switched it to the Vallejo location which is 7.5 miles further than I wanted to have to drive, but they took care of me. They gave me the number of the mgr and I called and left a message and as of July 20th 2018 I have not received a callback..

The agent was very confused when I asked about the cost of extra miles. I decided to go ahead and pay the cost without knowing what it was because I needed to get moving. Also - this agent initialed my agreement because the fuel was 1/8th of a tank (at most) but the agreement said 1/4 tank. Then I was charged ~ $20 for the gas and I am unable to get a reply from the agent in the Sunnyvale location who charged me (even though I showed him the contract that the other agent signed).

I was surprised to hear how much of a rate difference there was if I were to be picking up a Uhaul from this location going back to Vegas. The staff was friendly.

Contract: 90421350 My picked up was 7/14/2018 6:42pm and dropped off at 7/15/2018 5:52pm, less than 24 hours total. While making the reservation, I was instructed to call customer service to log in my drop off time, as my branch closes at 5pm on Sundays. I called at 5:52pm on Sunday and Customer Service told me that they can't log me in, but I should be fine if my local branch knows that I'm bringing it back before 6:42pm, which I did tell them while picking up. Unfortunately, I was charged with a two day rental. To add, I do not believe my bill was calculated using your "Best Rate", which normally happens (I rent numerously during the year). I receive excellent and friendly service, but this time, even Pat, your Customer Service Rep was very curt with me during my call about my billing issue. Thank you in advance for reading this. I returned the trailer I rented after hours and tried to do the return process by cell phone uhaul.com/share and it did not seem to respond or go any further when I was at the "location returned" section. Then I tried to call the 1-800-go-uhaul (1-800-468-4285) with no response after waiting several minutes. When I got back to the house, I tried to get on the computer and do a return process that way, and was not able to find any obvious path for a return process. Luckily, I went in the office the next morning to let them know I had returned the trailer on time, otherwise I was going to be charged for a second day of rental. If you could make the return after hours process go better, it would be greatly appreciated.

The Van was very dirty on the outside. TPMS was not working right. The person that brought up the van told me about it, and checked all the tires for proper tire pressure before I left. I was very thankful for that.

Your Staff were Great! Friendly and very attentive. The trailer I rented had scraps and dirt in it, but I was just using it for transporting wood so I didn't care. But buying a broom or even a leaf blower might be a good idea! But your staff were Great so I'll keep coming back!

when I booked my reservation, I chose a different location that the one where my truck was. no where on the email confirmation does it state that the truck would be at a different location than the one I chose. I had requested an 8am pick up, and your app notified me to be there 15 minutes early, so I did. I requested an Uber to take me there and arrived at 7:45, the place was still locked up and had dogs wandering in the yard. So I just figured I was early and they would be arriving shortly...8:05...8:15 no one showed up. I decided to start the pick up process using your app and could not locate the truck it was giving me. I tried calling your customer service number and was on hold for over 25 minutes and no one ever picked up. Gate is still locked and no one has shown up. I started poking around on the app and then found out that my truck was at another location. So I had to call another Uber to take me to new location. I wasted an hour of my day sitting our in a neighborhood that wasn't the nicest when I was trying to get the job done sooner in the day because it was going to be about 100 degrees that day. the truck for the most part was in good condition, though all 3 of the outlets to charge phone did not work and the truck pulled pretty hard to the right. I feel I should be refunded some funds due to miscommunication on your part, the hour I lost and the extra Uber fee.

I made a reservation in El Sobrante and was 1st given an address where they no longer do Uhaul. I went to 2 other El Sobrante locations and there were no rentals available at any of them. I had to go all the way to vallejo just to get a rental that should have been availablr 2 hours earlier. Very dissapointed in Uhaul but the Vallejo location did a great job and were able to start my reservation over so i could at least get one that day.
