The return location is average, at returning the truck there was a single employee who was working on another customers vehicle, and since it is a tire shop he was busy. Returning the truck was mostly done through the app and its instructions as there was no indication that the individual would have any actual U-Haul specific knowledge or provide any help. Since when I asked if parking at the front was ok I was given a basic ok, there is no signs or anything at this location of where to drop of a U-Haul truck. Everything seems to relay on using an half helpful app, and it is probably so U-Haul can show higher numbers or truck rentals in their metrics.

I do not know whether or not this survey will reflect the entirety of my experience. First of all, I booked online and when I arrived at my original pick up location, there were no vehicles whatsoever! I had hired someone to assist me with the moving and that was a complete waste of over an hour's worth of labor. I had to contact U-Haul, wait on the phone, communicate this issue with an agent only for them to tell me that, "Yes, I see that there are no vehicles there. Someone made an error." Between the phone calls, driving and such, it took me over an hour extra to find a vehicle at this other location. When I arrived at this location, of course it was closed. I expected that. The lock box worked fine. The vehicle was clean. The process of taking all of the photos was a bit of a pain on the app. The area where I picked this up was rather "sketchy." Right next to the truck that I was picking up, it was clear that someone had leaned against the vehicle to defecate, so we needed to work around that. I was given a discount on the rental, but that barely covered the hourly rate I had to pay someone for helping. Will I use the 24 hour service ever again? Unlikely. Will I use U-Haul again...I will say that this experience left me with a much lower opinion of the company and I will certainly be considering other options for my next rental.

Jacob BI’m really disappointed with my recent experience. My order was not handled correctly, and I was charged for services and items I didn’t request. More importantly, a tire that was worked on ended up blowing out while I was driving. I later found out it had been retreaded, which I wasn’t made aware of. This led to damage to many of my personal belongings and created a very stressful and unsafe situation. I’m hoping this was an isolated mistake, but it’s something that needs to be addressed. I’ve reached out to the business and am hoping for a fair resolution.
