The only problem I had was when I was returning the truck after hours. I was not able to complete the necessary steps of setting up an account at uhaul.com/share. When I initially rented the truck and provided my phone # and email address, I gave my home landline phone and my standard email address that I access from my home computer. So when it was trying to provide me with the activation code my only 2 choices were a text to my landline phone (not the cell phone in my hand) .. and an email to my home email that I do not access from my phone. I have gmail that I access on my cell phone. So if the attendant had told me that those two pieces of information would be used during the drop off, my life would have been a lot simpler.

Picking up took about 25 minutes due to a few customers at 9AM so that can be expected time you finish paperwork and get the trailer hooked up. Turn in was super fast. Drove in to the lot. Got out of my car and as I was waking to the office, was met buy a rep and he checked me out in a matter of minutes, unhooked the trailer and I was on my way. Great customer service.

I rented a cargo van for 24hrs, on Friday evening at 7pm. I returned the van at 7pm on Saturday evening, only to find out that the place closed at 7pm, not 8pm, like Friday evening. If I would've known that the location would be closed when I was supposed to return the van, I would have changed the return time to be during business hours. Because the location was closed, I had to return the van online. That made my rental time go over the scheduled 24hrs, which cost me extra on the back end, and made me have to spend an extra hour figuring out Uhaul's online return system. I had to take multiple pictures, at night, in the rain, on my cell phone, and still got charged extra. Another renter showed up to return, while I was figuring out how to return my rental, and he also had no idea that the location was closed. It seems like this could be avoidable, if only the uhaul rep would've told me i would be returning the rental after hours.

The process is slow and time consuming. Speed up counter time and have employees move faster when people are waiting. Also should use runners to get equipment so counter person doesn't have to disappear for 10 mins to go get truck or trailer. Just have a person assigned to get equipment as his sole responsibility. Employees should be smiling and more and those returning trailers should not have to wait for a space and back in what they rented. A simple unhook and go should be implemented. 30 mins is far too long to return equipment.

Personally I think you should have trailers that are updated for todays highway speeds. The store was clean, but a little confusing as to how to get to the customer desk because of all the boxes and packaging things.

Location was great but the self check-in app was horrible and I wasted 1 1/2 hours trying to check-in. The app would not let me accept the terms and conditions so I had to go back home and then the app knew I was not at Uhaul so I went back. I would not use the app in the future. Customer Service could not help me either.
