Check truck prior to rental to insure that utility dolly is there.
Roslyn MI was charged for equipment that wasn't included and have emailed repeatedly to get a refund. The truck was on E when we picked it up and considering this location is at a gas station.... that is absolutely ridiculous!! When we picked up the truck and returned it a couple hours later, they never checked it in so I received a call from the corporate office thinking I still had the truck DAYS later! Worst experience EVER with a Uhaul location!! Never again!
shannan kRented using the app. Picked up at 10am using the app as usual. Truck was not very clean, receipts shoved into the cubby’s, all trucks unlocked sitting out back, very poorly maintained gas station/oil change shop where the vehicles are located. Was able to grab the key with no issues. When I returned the truck around 6pm, I was not able to check the truck back in through the app. I filled the truck up, parked where I got it from, and turned the keys into the drop box. Obviously at 6pm on a Friday, no one would be working.. So I headed out and called uhauls customer support line to let them know I’ve dropped the vehicle and to please check it out. They said they “took care of it” and I will receive a receipt later or the next morning. I did not. I actually received one a couple days later showing multiple days on the rental. The truck was driven 17 miles in total, what would have taken 3 days to do that!? Crazy. So now that I’ve got my receipt, it’s wrong I call in again to get it corrected. After 30 minutes on the phone, being hung up on, them seeing my previous call.. Nothing! They said “right now, we just don’t have a area manager (clearly!) and we will have to wait until their is one, or we can escalate it to a different manager and they’ll get back with you in 3 days or so” So let me get this straight. Ive rented a truck, did my part. Paid and filled the truck back up upon return, no issues and because you as a corporation let hole in the wall places run your business to make some side money, and put what ever they want on a receipt that I should wait for you to hire a area manager? Or wait until next week to get my money back that if who I spoke with on the phone would have noted it correctly I wouldn’t be dealing with this.. False, I’ll be disputing the charges with the card company and using Penske in the future and will recommend to all my friends, family & clients. Thank you for shining light on the direction this business is headed!
Jonathan PYou asked me to pick my unit up from a different location, which was further away from my home, so I had to drive more miles. Now you are charging me for using extra miles. That is not right.
