On line App and local return signage stated to leave keys in return box - at 930 PM in the pouring rain, no key return could be found - I finally had to lock the truck and leave the key inside an unlocked storm door at the front entrance to the store. I did call early next morning to verify they did find the key which they did but the lack of a return caused a lot of stress during the return.

Vicki was great, made it quick and easy. Uhaul charged me almost 80 dollars for 51 mile round trip and had the truck back in 2 hours. I thought that was extremely expensive. 20 dollars for the truck was great but then .99 cent a mile and you have to add gas back in the truck.

I've been renting from U-haul for many years and I've always had a great experience until this time. The trailer was clean but it turned out to have a leak. Fortunately, my containers were mostly plastic so only one of my boxes got wet. To make matters worst, I became sick the evening after I packed up the trailer. Unfortunately I never left the area. When I was able to use the computer I sent an email to this address (780005_AFM@uhaul.com) for direction on what to do but no one ever responded. A day later I called the number on Uhaul.com and they subsequently directed me to the dispatch. They in turn told me they would change my contract to a daily/local rate and I could return the trailer to the place I picked it up from when ready. I request that the people at crane help unhitch the trailer since I didn't want to infect them. I also notified them of the trailer leaking. Not wanting to incur a large bill I contacted someone that day to help unload it. I waited until one hour before they closed to return the trailer. After all this, I was charged an additional day for returning the trailer at 6PM instead of 12:30PM even though I was trying to be responsible and limit my exposure to others by going one hour before closure. I also didn't receive any compensation for the leaky trailer. In light of what's going on nationally, I expected more empathy from U-haul...

I love going to that little store and being treated to pleasant southern charm and service. I need to rent a trailer more often.
When I first reserved a truck there were locations that said they had the truck available and locations that said they didnâ€™t have the truck available and so I had to pick a location where the truck was available. However this process was redundant as the day before pick up I got a confirmation text saying with a completely different location (not close). When I called the number to confirm I tried to explain I was told that they quite often change the pick up location based on availability. Then why have the first step where the website says some locations are available and some not when this could change the day before your move? I called customer service and after talking to 3 people I finally got it switched to a closer location. Ironically the location I wanted when I originally tried to reserve one but the website said there was no truck available at this location. My time was moved back to 10AM from 9AM. When I went to the location to do my self pick up. Everything went wrong. There was a truck there but no keys, my account was set to in store pick up but I was told cell phone pick up, the lady on site had no idea what to do. I called customer service and they relocated me once again to a store 30 minutes away. I had a helper scheduled from 9-3 but spent the first 3 hours trying to find a truck. Ended up getting a truck at 12 but was 30 minutes from my house so I had help for 2 and 1/2 hours. This made my day really stressful. The $50 credit I received will not cover my extra costs including extra miles driven that I was charged for and the 3 and 1/2 hours I paid a guy to ride around with me to find a truck.

The online login experience was frustrating. I reserved a truck at the location and wanted to go ahead a give my credit card information and picture id. Was told that could not be done until the day of pick up or it could be done online. Went online and imputed all information except the photo id because my phone is not connected to the internet. On the way to pick up the truck my sister went online with her smart phone to upload my picture. She had trouble going to my account and ended up causing a second reservation that had my picture id. I think it happened because the site asked for a password and i said all I had was an order number.

The drop off location was very inconvenient based on my travels and needs. While they were extremely accommodating, corporate needs to listen to the customer wants and needs. I most likely will not use U-Haul for my future moving needs.
The drop off is at a gas station. I wanted to put $5 in the gas tank since this location took me down several long country roads away from other stations. They have older pumps. The $5 dollars I wanted to put in to make sure it was half full (as when picked up) turned into $50.00. On the pump it had $5. I literally filled the tank full with 20 gallons of the 40. I was told that unfortunately U-Haul doesn't allow credits, etc. This will absolutely be the last time I use U-Haul. If it had been a $10 or $15 dollar glitch that would be one thing. What happened is obscene and the more I think about it the more upset I get. Understand, they were nice and polite, etc... but in the end I was essentially robbed. There's no way around that, no matter how nice or full of smiles. I hope you all will consider making it right.

No lights on trailer and we reserved a closed trailer but they rented it out and we had to take an open taller to move bedding furniture. I think they need to be more thoughtful before they rent something out that was reserved
We were unable to return the vehicle until after hours and the nice lady on the phone made sure we knew what to do with the keys. Everything was smooth.
