1) Tell customers "before" they leave to inspect equipment or put a sign iup stating this. 2) The mileage fee is extremely high for consumers.. $.79 a mile is fine for commercial. However, it's "Price gouging" for consumers.

Charge less for miles. The rental started with $19.95 for 4 hours ...! My final bill was $40 ! I rented the truck only for one hour & put 21 miles.

This location and everyone working there was helpful courteous and knowledgeable as well as the Fuqua location. However the Conoco Uhaul facility and its employees were rude and unprofessional including Tammy and Thomlin who I spoke with via telephone and customer service. Because of these experiences we will NOT be using Uhaul again. I received confirmation via email about my equipment and confirm of pickup and it was not a available upon my arrival. Your customer service representatives need to be trained on what customer service is as well as the staff at the Conoco-Almeda Genoa location.

I got a van, and was told the gas tank was full, and needed to be returned full. Ok. That's how it normally works. Drove to my house (y ou u could see it from the store), picked up a couch around the corner to my daughter's. Came back to the store Probably 2 miles, including the stop at the gas station to top off the tank. Topping off the tank cost me over $7.50, almost 4 gallons of gas. Either that can sucked gas, or was not really full. Pennies in the long run, but I feel it was kind of dishonest. They were very busy, someone was waiting for the vehicle when I returned it, but the reaction of the office staff was just a kind of, shrug, ok .

The drop off procedures could be improved. Simply asking someone if they are dropping odff or acknowledge that they are waiting would. E a great improvement in customer service.

I made the reservation over the phone, a couple of days later I received a call letting me know the location I wanted to pick up at didn’t have the equipment I wanted, I needed to pick up at a different location. Confused, I asked her what equipment they had for me and she said an auto transport. I reserved a 5x8 box trailer, so my reservation was all messed up, still don’t know why! When I called to straighten out, the customer service rep got mad at me and yelled at me and hung up on me?????? I don’t remember her name, but very rude woman!!!

I reserved a 10’ truck online on 12/15 for use on 2/1. The store called me on 1/31 and said they no longer had a truck for me due to over-booking. The store’s scheduler rep would not offer a larger truck that they had available for the price of the 10’ nor would they offer to compensate me for miles that I would need to drive a truck from another store that was further way from my home - they essentially said there was nothing they could do but direct me to book at another store - although how would I know at that point if another store would not do the same thing - leave me high and dry ... the day before the move? As I was getting nowhere with the scheduler, I asked to talk to the manager of the store who then agreed to give me a larger availability truck for the same price as the 10’. It is unacceptable to tell a customer the day before truck pickup, especially when the truck was scheduled over a month-and-a-half ago that there would be no truck available and to find another truck at another store! I had people coming in from out of town to help with the move and who took time off to do so. I will not use UHaul again!
