My reservation was for the 112 Main Street, Glens Falls location. When I showed up they told me they knew nothing of my reservation and refused to rent me the exact trailer I needed which was parked in their lot stating that it was for local around town moves only. When I asked for another larger trailer on the lot they refused again and said they couldn’t rent me ANY one way trailers at all. They gave me the number for Dudley’s and told me to call and that my reservation was moved there...over 30 miles away in the WRONG direction from where I was headed. This Glens Falls location was the exact location I chose based on its location and the availability of the trailer I wanted. I even called them on Monday when I was supposed to have received a phone call from them, to let them know of my reservation for Wednesday and to confirm which sized hitch ball I needed. Instead upon arrival I was sent 2 hours out of my way by a group of condescending associates to get the trailer they still have on their lot sitting in the very same place it was yesterday. When I called Dudley’s they said they would have the trailer ready for me when I got there. Upon arrival there, all of a sudden my reservation had disappeared. All of my info was gone, even though they had it on their screen at the time of my initial call while I was leaving Glens Falls. All of my pre-registration and pre-payment records were gone. I had to spend an additional 25 minutes there starting from scratch on a new reservation and most likely have been charged TWICE. As soon my credit card company gets back to me I will know for sure. Then to make matters even worse, the trailer itself had an intermittent drivers side brake and turn signal issue and I was almost unable to leave...and the location where I was to pick up the equipment two hours earlier could not keep their employee there long enough to help me load the machine so I was forced to call my elderly father and have him drive up from Albany to help me. These delays also caused me to drive back home pulling the trailer in a blinding snow storm in the dark instead of being able to drive partially in the day light and when the weather was clear. Needless to say I am absolutely disgusted with this U-haul experience and will be sure to steer everyone I know clear of renting your equipment if this situation does not get corrected, ESPECIALLY from the 112 Main St, Glens Falls location. Their customer service skills are non-existent.

Try to not make the customer walk clear across the parking lot for equipment. Try not letting the customer install the trailer themselves and not inspect the quality of work. Try not to embarrass the customer in front of other members of your team by claiming they have no money in their bank account or that they’re trying to fuck you over. Try not to have customers doing a check out next to a car that’s 8 feet above your height and endangering the safety. Try to have a little bit more training at being a U-Haul location.

Probably the last time I will ever use U-Haul services. I made reservations about 3+ weeks in advance to properly plan my move and on the day of, the vehicle was placed in a location that was closed for the day. The nearest location was 40 mins away and prolonged our moving process. We were guaranteed a 50 dollar credit, which in all honesty doesn’t cover the inconvenience of having to drive all the way over there which made us late for our inspection. The credit has not been received, and will be calling customer service rather shortly as I am not seeing it in my statements. Overall, I’m angry and will not be recommending this service for anyone. The fact that we followed the process, reserved our vehicle in advance as we all know how busy the end of the month is, and yet people ahead of us in line were able to get a vehicle without any reservations. We waited in line for about an hour in the Glens Falls location before they were short staffed and we were then pushed off to Whitehall (great staff there). Never again. I put really poor service not location specific, but for the inconvenience and poor planning on behalf of UHaul. My complaint IS NOT about the staff in no way.

Contract in my hand shows a drop off by "Wed., June 5". We dropped off Tuesday, but were charged an extra day. U-haul argues that the contract was 8 day, but the rental place added 2 days no charge making it ten, and the date due for drop off is by the fifth. Now they have charged us for an extra day. Ridiculous. Especially after the run -around on where to pick up the trailer. Will borrow a trailer or use any other rental place next time. U-haul tends to rip everyone off.


I reserved and got a confirmation for a car hauler. to be picked-up and dropped off at a different location ( I did this online ). the day before was to pick it up I got a call that I would have to pick it up at a different location which was 40 miles further away ( a total of 80 miles). The directions to get there turned out to be very confusing and incorrect. It took NEARLY AN HOUR TO LOCATE AND GET SOMEONE TO DO the paper work before I could get on the road. Thereby making me late to pick up the vehicle that I was to deliver( I had workers waiting around for nearly 2 hrs) all because of the change made by someone without my approval. IF THERE IS A NEXT TIME I will work with the Local agent or go with someone other than U-HAUL. ( THE LOCAL AGENT *WHERE I WAS ORIGINALLY TO PICK UP THE CAR-HAULER HAD BEEN TO THE OTHER ONE JUST A FEW DAYS TO GET SOME EQUIPMENT AND COULD HAVE HAD THE CAR-HAULER AVAILABLE)

I rented a 26ft box truck and was awful. Crappy summer tires in the snow. Truck shook and bounced. Roof leaked in the corners causing my items to get wet. Customer service had my reservation completely screwed up got quoted a price then was told I owed an additional $215.00 upon return. Very unsatisfied and personally will most like never use U-Haul for a truck again.

First I don't believe my starting mileage is correct, I was not given a statement or anything indicating what the starting mile was. The place itself was very dirty and unprofessional for a place of business. In the future, I would not be a repeat customer due to this business and the demeanor of employees of the shop. The place looked like a run down auto shop.


Great service! the only thing I don't understand is that you can rent a uhaul trailer a lot cheaper and pull it both ways then renting one way. Also you need to equip the trailers with the fold down jacks because they can get pretty heavy to lift!

I first contact my local UHaul in Rutland, VT. They did not have a 26' truck. Reserved one then they told me only had a 20' one and was not sure if it would be available the day I needed it. I booked with Dudley's myself. Even though it was an extra 50 miles out of my way. I even called Erica at your customer service who was totally rude and unhelpful. Very poor customer service on your part for sure. People need to know that they have a truck when needed not a maybe. Major life changing when have to move your home and not sure if you have a truck to do so. Thankful for Dudley's - Tonya and Danielle and Chris were wonderful and would recommend everyone go there not the local Rutland UHaul store.

They didnt have a big fact at the time there was only one truck. However, thats not really their fault. And to make up for it they threw in a free dolly!!! The customer service was top notch :)
