I reserved my trailer at another location in Wichita, ks 2 weeks prior (6222 E 21st st). When i get there they tell me they don't have my trailer available as someone else is renting it on Monday. This was Saturday i was there.. . At that point they acted like I was just out of luck and left it at that. I had to ask what they were going to do for me then as I am moving and need the trailer I reserved 2 weeks ago. The manager said something along the lines of "well why aren't you in my system then? I can't let you take that trailer, it's already called for." The manager called someone and asked what to do, they said I would need to go to another U-haul and get my trailer (the one in 1000 e 13th) and at this point, I was an hour behind on my moving plans and I had to pay my movers the extra hour for waiting. I get to the other location and the trailer was filthy and not cleaned exteriorly at all. (I have pictures if you need them). When dropping off the u-haul to the final destination in Iowa, the u-haul worker said the trailer was hooked up completely wrong and he was surprised we didn't lose the whole trailor in the drive up. Nobody in Wichita inspected the trailer with us, so as we were on the highway back to Iowa, the running lights were flickering/coming off and on like there's a wore shortage. The u-haul in Iowa said they will get it fixed and the other uhaul should have definitely made sure they were working before we left. Here's my questions for you Uhaul... Why wasn't a text, call or email sent to me that I needed to go to another location for my rental? Why couldn't I have gotten the trailer that I reserved 2 weeks prior and the other person renting the trailer for Monday didn't get moved to the other location as I was already there and waiting? Why wasn't an inspection done and why wasn't my u-haul hooked up properly? This was very poor customer service and I feel some sort of compensation would be nice and the least that could be done. My email is and I would appreciate an email back with how you can make this right. Thanks!

It was a snowy day and the windshield wipers were worthless. Made the window view worse. The front bumper was clearly cracked but it wasn't identified as damaged on the sign in. They left so much ice on the rear view mirror I couldn't see nor left a scrapper in the truck to scrap it off with.

Denise was great at explaining everything about the rental and I was in and out in 10 min. It was snowing and I appreciate the help from staff to set up my car hauler and double check everything. Overall a great experience! The equipment hauled my 1967 mustang from kansas to texas in the snow and rain like a champ. I had zero issues with this rental and I was very pleased!!!

When I arrived at the location, there was 1 person behind the desk helping 2 customers that had an issue with a credit card. I waited for 10 minutes... and then heard paper rustling around in the back office that's to the side. I walked over and said, “excuse me, I'm here to pick up a trailer...” Before finishing my sentence, the GM Garrett Schaper, asked me- “is there not anyone up there?” I told him there was but I'd been waiting a long time. He said... and I quote: “THAT is not my job. You'll have to wait up there. You don't just walk into someone's office!!” I quietly went back up front, to not cause further confrontation with an apparently on the edge manager. I was surprised, because as the GM- your job IS everything, to run the business, and take care of customers/ help your employees. Needless to say, I was shocked and appalled by his behavior.

Was given a self service reservation. Found this to be very inconvenient as the keys are kept on the opposite side of the building from the trucks. There is no way through the building so I had to walk around through the rain to obtain the keys.

I had trouble checking in by phone and got very little assistance from the associate at the desk.


Van smelled strongly of cigarettes, otherwise it was clean, but I cannot rate a vehicle as clean if it reeks of cigarette smell. Not adequate parking for personal vehicle. All staff was very friendly and helpful except they didn't do a walk around to acknowledge any previous damage and there was no walk around after turn in. Of all Uhaul rentals I've done over a decade this was a first.

I chose contactless pick up and the key to my truck was not in the designated lock box. Also had to walk around the block to get from the truck to the key location. Took 2 trips back and forth which is a lot of walking.

so glad there was a site open on Sunday afternoon! was told to use the website check-in instead of the phone app (phone app has bugs I guess?) and that worked after a few tries (first time I'd checked equipment in via web with photos).

It would have been nice to receive a truck with a full tank of gas. This was a long haul, one way rental that we had to fill it with gas before we even left town. This was disappointing since we have always had excellent customer service from this location.

Please make sure the customer gets there return receipt so they know what was there mileage of the return and what is there refund they will be returned on there credit card

We had trouble with online check in and The guys behind the counter basically acted like we were bothering them when we went inside and asked for help - they told us and another customer who was also having check in issues that they couldn't help.
