The person who attached the trailer to my truck made me wait 45 minutes (the location was short staffed) until they came out to assist me. It was very cold out and the woman was not wearing any gloves, making it difficult for her to attach the trailer. She did not do any double checks to ensure the equipment was properly attached. Once I drove 2 minutes down the road, I realized the trailer was no longer attached properly, as it was loosely swerving uncontrollably! Luckily I stopped immediately and checked the trailer to find that it was only held on by 1 of the safety chains. It appeared that the woman never screwed down the trailer. Once I returned home and called back to Bud's Cornermart to inform them of the issue, the store Manager (a different woman) proceeded to say it was my fault and that their employees shouldn't have helped me in the first place to attach it (and that they are not liable for this kind of an error). She also told me I should have brought someone else to hook it up if I didn't know how. I found her attitude very defensive and accusatory to me the customer, even though it was her employee who hooked the trailer up. I requested to speak to the store owner, however the manager refused to give me his contact information. I will never do business from this locaiton again.

He was argumentative and rude.The truck had pine needles and dirt in the loading bed. I have used U-haul quite often for my college student and local moves and never send me to Buds Mart again or I will find and carrier.

There is still a $260 hold on the credit card that I used to book the uhaul and it's been 17 days since I have returned the truck and paid for the entire rental in cash. Please rectify this situation for me

I am never using Uhaul again. The last 2 times I contracted with Uhaul I was given "guarantees" both verbally and via email that I would have a truck waiting for me at my desired location. Both times I went to pick up my truck and there was NOTHING there! Guarantees are only as good as the institutions giving them, and it is safe to say that guarantees from Uhaul do not mean a thing. They have lost a customer for life. To all potential Uhaul customers: beware of meaningless guarantees and think twice before using Uhaul.

U-haul personnel did not come out to help hook up trailer until asked. They did not verify safety chains on properly , nor did they verify lighting worked properly. I had to do this all myself.

Easy check-out. Truck was available before reserved time so we were able to get on the road earlier. I would prefer starting with a full gas tank and returning a full tank instead of guessing on a partial but that is a U-Haul policy not the local dealer.

The store clerk told us right away that she didn't have an available truck for us to rent. She wasn't very helpful. I had to check the availability online, turned out that they have 20' truck that is available in that same location. What a pain! I had to reserve online for this store to accommodate us. What a waste of time and annoying! Uhaul isn't a bad company just people who wasn't very helpful and rejected us right away.



There were 2 males and 1 female at this location. The customer ahead of they offered no explainions when asked just call 1-800 and treated the young ladies as very impolite. After my unit was signed up they offered no help in hooking up and or inspecting.

Yeah so I made a reservation for the 8th street location in Wisconsin rapids, which I had a call two days prior stating that it will have to be at the 48th street "buds corner." Which wasn't a issue. My father and I drove out there at 9A.M. When we got there they did not receive and confirmation regarding the uhaul. So I called uhaul they informed us that it's up in plover at the "A to Z auto shop". Drove up there nothing was there they were not even open yet. I called a second time informed them of the situation. They told me that I would have to wait until 5:00 PM for a 20ft because they messed up or I could run over to a different shop to pick up a 10ft uhaul. So we ran over to the third shop and the 10ft already had a reservation. So far I've spent two hours just running around trying to find a uhaul which I had a reservation on. I even have confirmation of place and time. So we waitied until we could get the 20ft uhaul they said sorry drop the price from 29 to 19 and charged me .69 instead of the weekend .99 per mile. The best part of the whole thing was that I was informed they have a 50 dollar give back if they messed up and oh boy I thought they messed up big time. I called the day after to deal with that and within minutes of me playing the call they call back and said. "Nothing seems to be wrong on our end we don't need to give you the 50 dollars it was at the corner mart and was scheduled at 5:30 which I have confirmation via text message of it being there at 9:00 in the morning. This is just a poor company I'll never do business with them again and I hope you stay clear of them as well.

The lady that was working the counter and managing my transaction was the rudest woman I have ever met. I first purchased a soda then told her I was there to check in for a U-Haul rental. When she heard that, she rolled her eyes and said "Oh, great" very sarcastically. There was two other customers in line behind me and she said "Go stand over there and I'll be there when I'm done with everyone else" very angrily. I smiled and patiently waited at the other counter. When she got over to the computer, she asked for my information, which I happily and politely gave. She grumbled while finding me in the system and then eventually asked how I was going to pay. I replied kindly that I would be using a gift certificate number that U-Haul had just gave me five minutes ago when I called them in the parking lot to make sure everything was ready to go. She stared at me and said "Well, I don't know how to do that". I again, very kindly, replied that the woman I talked to on the phone at U-Haul said that if you had any trouble you could give them a call and they would walk you through it. She rolled her eyes at me and mumbled "Well they never answer their f*cking phone anyway so I'm not going to call them". She then tried for a few more minutes and got very angry because she could not figure out how to do it. She berated me for using a gift certificate and told me to "just f*cking take it" and threw the keys at me. I've never had a worse customer service experience in my life. I understand that this woman does not work for U-Haul, but she still technically is a representative for U-Haul at the time of the transaction. The next day when I returned the truck, I mentioned to the manager about my experience and he simply stated "Yeah, she was having a bad day". First of all, having a bad day should not affect the level of service you provide to customers. Every job I've worked at has told me "If you're having a bad day, it ends when you walk in the door". Second, there is absolutely zero excuse to treat a customer that way, ever. I will not be returning to that location ever again.
