Booked and confirmed 17” when went to pick up they had a 15” instead took us more then an hour and several phone calls to the u haul customer service to pick up even that one. HORRIBLE experience will not recommend u haul to anyone ????????

Place was clean, staff we ok but would not say were friendly or disrespectful. Truck was dirty and very old. Steering was warn out and the gear shift lever was way loose. Very old equipment. Equipment was ready on time and location was convenient

I set the appointment for the trailer pick up early in the day (around 12). The person installing the trialer on my father's truck told my father to come in twice in one day because he made a mistake on what my father needed for the lights on the trailer. later than the scheudled appointment (4pm) then called again same day and wanted to change it again (called at 12pm to come in at 1pm). My father lives an hour away from that location (Front Royal, Va), but it was the only location with the trailer I needed in the time I needed it on the way to my house, which was to move across country (to Colorado). My father wasn't able to get to me (in Alexandria) until after 7pm, which pushed my driving start time very far ahead. I was moving to start a new job and the delay in the Uhaul complicated things quite a bit. I sent an email complaint and heard nothing back for over a month. My father called around 11/16/18 and spoke to someone (a female) and she stated she would forward the complaint to management, but I still have not heard anything.

The staff at Potomac Mills is consistently professional and thorough (I have helped some other friends move). The waivers you sign, though, make you feel like a criminal, especially when you don't take the insurance of $20 plus per day. The truck was okay, although faint smell of smoke and had over 100K on it.

I rented 6-7 trucks this year as part of a lengthy move. I feel like the prices on one-way rentals nearly doubled after the spring. The locations I dealt with were fine, but I would not recommend U-Haul to anyone for one way rentals. The prices are out of hand. If you need to make more than one trip, you may as well hire Mayflower!

Was not comfortable with attendant taking picture of my drivers license on personal cell phone. I do not know this person and what they will do with my personal information. I understand some type of vetting has to be done but I would recommend a company controlled device.

It was not good spending an hour in line just to rent a dolly. If they expedite their work and serve customers on timely manner that would be great. Being in a long queue and the line not moving was very frustrating.

I like this location and I have been to this place many times. However, the U-Haul staff person (Jennifer Remeriez who checked me in seemed to be very upset and rude a little bit. When she handed me the key to the pick up truck, she didn't walk me around and she didn't tell me what kind of gas to put in. To conclude, she was a little bit rude!!!

Use the remote reservations services! There was a long line for those who didn't. Using the online reservation enabled getting in and out without having to fall in line and talk to a U-Haul CSR. Make sure you have a camera phone to document rental.

I had the hitch put on in Manassas - by Vince who was exceptionally helpful (it was my first time doing this.) He was patient with all my questions. I picked-up the trailer in Woodbridge with Peggy. Again, another extraordinary representative. I wanted to buy a lock. There was only one and the man tried for 20 minutes to get it to work. Finally did and I asked him to take it off and put it back on - and it wasn't easy and I said when I am alone I cannot have it be such an effort. I went back in and asked Peggy to credit me the cost of it. She was really friendly.

The Uhaul staff rented a vehicle to me that would not start on several attempts. I contacted the store 4 times to report that I was stranded and the vehicle would not start. The staff knew the vehicle was having problems and told me how to start the truck. It took me approximately 30 minutes each time (4X) to start the vehicle. The last time I was stranded at the Shell Gas station and called roadside assistance. No one from road side assistance picked up the phone. I was in the process of calling someone to pick me up, because at this point I was going to leave the vehicle and let the Uhaul store figure out how they were going to move the vehicle. I am very disappointed because I was with a minor child and the company acted as if our safety was not a priority.
