First time renting a Uhaul and it was a HORRIBLE experience. From the start they didn't give me the price quoted, van wasn't the correct van, it was dirty and there was a dead mouse in the vechile, location was filthy (literally used condoms in the parking lot). They charged me insurance when I denied it! Was on the phone with customer service for over 40 minutes trying to correct the problem. I'm currently waiting for a manager to contact me in 72 hours about the dispute.

While he tried to be helpful the owner could not process my rental properly because of what turned out to be a connection problem with u haul system. I called u haul from the station and received wonderful service and my rental was processed and I was on my way.

If it wasn't for the professionalism and courtesy of this location, I never would have been able to accomplish the task I had planned for several weeks. Unlike the 3144 E Main St, Mohegan Lake, NY 10547 location which was closed the day I arrived. Furthermore, the Mohegan Lake location cancelled my reservation less than 24 hours (When it was scheduled for over 1 1/2 weeks beforehand.) Completely unacceptable. Manager or proprietor should be relieved of their position.

Was offered blankets, furniture and utility dolly. Turned down the dolly's. Still charged for dolly's. Will be calling for refund tomorrow.

Better train the staff and ensure that they do a proper wall around inspection of the vehicle before it leaves the lot. Also explain the difference between a one way rental and in town.

I was charged for two dollies but never used them because the type we needed- there was only one and it was broken. I will never go to this location ever again as they were unable to reimburse me for the charge and now I'm stuck calling Uhaul customer service, who do not seem to pick up and I've been waiting on hold for 30 mins now. Of all the times I've used Uhual, this is the worst exp and next time will use Home Depot's rental trucks.

The vehicle was clean. The problem was they just painted the bumper and the door was painted shut. I had to waste time and mileage to go back. Then they said to try to push it up several times to break the paint seal. That was ridiculous!

The online process to pick up and leave the van was laborious with multiple photos needed. It took about 15 minutes each time. It would have been easier to have the attendant at the gas station do it with a clip board

We had difficulty returning to the truck to our chosen drop off location. When we called U-Haul for help, they informed us they changed the drop off location. We worked to get a closer drop off location than the one U-Haul switched us to, which still ended up putting us 4 miles over our original mileage...and U-Haul charged us for the extra miles, even though they changed the location on us. We don't feel like we should have been charged for a change U-Haul made, not us.

I reserved a 10' truck at the Mt. Kisco location, (where I live) for this past Sunday and was assured that even though the location was closed I could open the truck with the app on my phone. Several hours later I was contacted by U-Haul and told that I had to rent at a different location many miles away. I'm really angry about this and would like a $10 credit for the additional mileage it cost me. Thank you.

Why, there is different rate per mile in other locations? $0.10 can make big jump in price.
