Hurricane Michael hit the Wiregrass region on Wednesday, knocking out power for thousands of residents and causing flooding.
“Hurricane Michael was the most powerful storm to hit Houston County in recent history,” U-Haul Company of Central Alabama president Scott Fall said. “Many of our neighbors are facing homes damaged by rain and wind.
“As a responsible corporate citizen and member of this community, U-Haul wants to help by providing 30 days of free self-storage to affected residents.”
