U-Haul of Greenview to Reuse Warehouse for 1,000 Storage Lockers in Calgary
CALGARY, Alta. (June 6, 2024) — U-Haul® has acquired the former Forzani Group Ltd.® warehouse at 824 41 Ave. NE and will apply its Adaptive Reuse program to give the space new life while meeting the moving and self-storage needs of Calgary residents.
The 9.79-acre property, now home to U-Haul Moving & Storage of Greenview, was purchased on May 17. It is conveniently located on the corner of McKnight Boulevard and Deerfoot Trail NE for easy customer access.
The property is open from 7 a.m.–7 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Sunday. Make reservations on the U-Haul app or call the Greenview store at (403) 240-4950.
Customers currently have access to truck and trailer rentals, U-Box containers for on-site and remote storage, boxes and moving supplies, and more.
Once renovations are complete, the 124,000-square-foot facility will offer access to 1,000 indoor climate-controlled self-storage lockers with high-end security features at affordable price points. Professional hitch installation and towing equipment will soon be available, and a U-Box warehouse space will house up to 1,000 portable storage containers.

Acquisition of the former warehouse was driven by U-Haul Corporate Sustainability initiatives: U-Haul supports infill developments to help local communities lower their carbon footprint. The adaptive reuse of existing buildings reduces the amount of energy and resources required for new-building materials and helps cities reduce their unwanted inventory of unused buildings.
