The vehicle was dirty, unkempt and not maintained: 1. The windshield was cracked and dirty 2. There was no Windshield wash fluid - it was empty from pick-up 3. The interior had a musty and cigarette odor 4. the interior was filthy - Ii had to use clean white sheet to keep my items clean 5. I had to wipe down the interior instruments nd controls because everything was visibly dirty 6. the gas cover was broken and when I opened the gas door, it fell under the vehicle In general it was a very unpleasant experience to rent this vehicle and would like to compensated in some waynorica S.

When I booked the truck on line, I declined the 15$ insurance and the next day when I picked up the truck the agent told me that i will pay for any damage myself as I didn't take the insurance and I confirmed that. Up on dropping the track the agent charge me for the insurance and when I asked him why, he told me because he asked me and I said yes to the insurance, I told the guy I know what I said and I didn't say that, any way he kept arguing with me to take the 15$, beside that the truck were very dirty, never cleaned or wiped with garbage on the floor all over the place. I do not recommend this location at allHarith A.
I am never using or recommending u-haul again. What a terrible experience! I reserve a truck a one location, get updated to a second location, go there and there's no truck - because the location was updated to a third location! The final location did not have blankets (as I reserved 6) and the low tire error was on when I picked up the truck. Never again!Paul S.

Read your contract first. My contract said I had to return with a certain amount of fuel, the app they make you go through b4 driving messes it up. I followed my contract then dropped it off and was charged $70 for fuel because the app was different than my contract.Dylan M.

When I arrived to pick up the car the guy at the front desk was busy Skyping someone so he was barely even conversing with me. He kept talking to his phone the entire time I tried to speak with him. He just waved for my license took a photo then gave me the keys. I then went out to the uhaul and it was covered in ice with both wipers busted. I went back in and asked to use a windshield scraper and he let me use it but threatened if I broke it he would charge me. He said it was brand new which was a complete lie cause all the screws on it were rusted. He acted like a complete degenerate for the entire ordeal. Didn't help me remove the ice which took 20 minutes. Please remove your uhaul location from here. They are giving you a horrible name.David N.

The vehicle wasn't cleaned. The truck had no winter tires and with the snow, it's a miracle that there was no accident. On a gradient of less than 10degrees, vehicle was unable to climb and almost slid back. I have never had such a terrible experience in vehicle rental from Uhaul in several years of rental.ADEBOWALE O.

I arrived on time but spent over 30 min working through the registration process, even though I had done everything online. The vehicle needed to be cleaned. The truck I rented had half-drunk pop cans and garbage in the cab as well as the cargo areas. In addition, the cargo area was very wet with standing water in it. I inquired at the store and was told that they could do nothing to clean or sanitize the truck nor did they have any tarps or blankets to cover the water. Being that I was transporting furniture, I had to go and get material to clean up the cargo area. I also cleaned out the garbage from the truck. Not impressed with this experience at all -- have used U-Haul a bunch of times and this was not up to the standard experience.Timothy P.
The location was very difficult to back out of, very tight quarters where Uhauls are parked. The back of the truck was filthy and I had to sweep it out before I could use it, there was an empty food container, loose dry dog food as well as dog hair and dirt...I have a picture if need be. I have to sweep out the back of every truck I rent (weekly) and it's very frustrating. The owners were nice to deal with but were not there upon returning so I told the boy that was working to pass on the info.Deb H.
Didn't receive truck size we reserved, we were given a smaller truck therefore had to make an additional round trip of 6 hrs each way incurring extra fuel charges as well as mileage. Trip cost 5 or 6 hundred dollars more than it should have. Spoke to Uhaul about this and they weren't helpful in the least about this situation even though their website states that reservations are guaranteed. The only thing guaranteed is we will never be renting from Uhaul again, we will go to another company for future uses.THERESAM F.

It took the young man almost a half an hour to re setup the truck pickup, he had to call someone else and redo it on his phone several times. When we finally got to the location to pick up the furniture we couldn't open the back door because I was given the wrong code. So we had to go to another uhaul rental location in another city to get the lock cut off. All of this delayed our day over an hour and had us caught up in rush hour traffic which took even more time and had us all very frustrated due to wasting time and extra money on gas. I have rented from uhaul a handful of times in the past few years, never had an issue, but this time was an absolute chaotic mess.David W.
Its unfortunate that this location has very limited parking available, making it difficult to maneuver the vehicles. The van that I rented was dirty inside & smelled like it had a load of farm animals in it, The brakes were squeeking, I mentioned this to the sales person who informed me that they hadn't had a chance to take the vehicle in for maintenance, I was not impressed with the fact that they rented a faulty vehicle to me. The gas was practically empty. So not only did we have to spend $65 on gas just to get it back up to half tank when we only drove 20km but he wasn't able to refund the card with the $18-$20 he owed us for having to fill the tank & drive further km & waste our time. Have the right vehicle for the reservation booked a week in advance. Or call to let them know ahead of time what the situation is at least. Train your employees to have some empathy and understanding. She told me another guy rented it out for the commission. When the next guy, the area field manager, he said the CUSTOMER didn't return on time. Then when I was given the smaller vehicle, don't charge me for extra kms and make me pay double the gas still. Clean the vehicles first, and don't charge me a cleaning fee at the end of it for it being dirty when I picked it up. They say the company policy when all this happens is to give a 50$ credit to your bill. 50$ is worth me spending over double the time, gas, and effort moving and being stressed out for days because of it. This area field manager also said there is no one above him that he is the only person I can talk to about this.Jillian C.
The contract said the tank was 124 L (little sticker said check the contract to figure out how much gas to replenish) I wanted to refill to the correct spot and did the math and put in 40 L - which turned out to be more than half a tank. I think you need to check the contract. I do appreciate that I was given credit toward my bill for the gas overfill.Siobhan W.

I have been a regular user of U-haul and this was the first time I regretted my decision to use the service. The neighborhood U-haul experience was new to me but I never expected this to be so poor. The lady at the corner store gave me the key of the vehicle after taking my information. When I asked about inspecting the vehicle before driving she refused to do that stating it is fine. This is odd and highly negligent of U-haul or any rental vehicle policy. After I entered the vehicle, it was extremely dirty, awful odour and full of pet fur. It seems no one cleaned the interior for ages. I took the starting mileage and gas gage reading. When I came to return the vehicle there was a different guy at the counter very rude and asked for the proof of mileage again refusing to check the mileage themselves. When I showed him the meter reading which showed gas gage at the same spot from the the time of rental (which is the instructions of rental) he insisted I have to fill up with gas regardless the gas gage shows same reading. He informed and I quote, â€œthe moment you drive the van even for 1 km you need to fill up gasâ€. He was also giving me explanations that then the vehicle is warm gas gage doesn't give accurate reading that is why it is mandatory to fill the gas every time it is driven. To make him happy, I had to drive additional km to fill the tank. Total km I drove was 15 during the rental period and I had to fill 10 litre because after I put 5 litre the gas gage has actually went lower which is a red flag. Surely the van needs work because you expect the gage move up when tank gets topped up. When I came back finally there was another young person was at counter. I showed him gas receipt and showed a photo as a proof. He also refused to inspect the vehicle at return. He explained that they have photos from before which are just some random photos from the U-haul website and also mentioned that when the next person rents the van they will check and if any damage is spotted they will charge me! Is such policies permitted by U-haul? For 10 years I have used U-haul service this is the first time I heard this which to me is a clear violation of standard rental policy. Even after my insist the store guy would leave the counter and inspect the vehicle. I preemptively took photos and videos of the van for legal proof of the vehicle's condition during the rental period. U-haul needs to rethink their policy of partnering with such unprofessional third parties because these mom and pop shops seriously jeopardizing the service. In future I will not rent U-haul if the option is these resellers.Muntaser R.
