The cashier helping us was very polite. We asked her if it had been wipes down and cleaned properly due to Covid and the answer was no due to here being the only one in the store and that would apply to all. If I haul is not looking after there trucks and cleaning them even with Lysol wipes then you should not be renting your vechicles. We had to spend time wiping it all down inside and out. This is not customer service or a drive through. It's the last time I will rent from Uhaul. The pandemic is far from over. This version is more contiguous and airborne that can stay on surfaces.avril H.
While the staff were nice and friendly the equipment I was given had a flaw that I wouldn't be able catch till I was on the road the turn style clamp for the ball was very stiff and hard to turn it seemed to be latched and while in Toronto traffic it came off the ball of my hitch not once but twice I had to turn it as much as I could and even used a hammer to tighten it more the brakes were locked up after the second one so a roadside worker was dispatched I had to get it hocked and off the side of a busy highway while the brakes were locked for safety and not it wouldn't come off if I pulled up on it when I tightened it normally but would losses as I was going down the road it only stopped loosening while going down the road after I used a hammer to get the little extra turns of the securement device when it came off it destroyed my brand new pin to hold in my trailer hitch and damaged the paint on my tailgate I got lucky I will not be using uhaul in the future I'm waiting for my claim for a refund to be put through not impressed and very disappointedAustin E.
This location is in a variety store. They kept leaving the counter to go help store customers meanwhile Im on a time limit. They didnt have the furniture dolly the one with 4 wheels so you could lift the item onto the cart and push it for dressers ect. This was my very first experience with U-haul and this location is very disappointing.Renee R.
The man told me that it was 22$ to rent a trailer for 24 hours. I advises him that I planned on dropping the trailer off at a different location several times. After filling the trailer I called to see if I could keep it for another day. I then called the other dealer I planned on dropping it off to, and they advised me it would be 108$ to drop it off. I have rented from this place in the past and had no problem with the previous owner. I called head office and the person was very confrontational with me.Chad C.

My rental experience was a good one. Although I couldn't get a trailer that I wanted. I tried both the Clarke Road location in London and was directed by them to the Tollgate Road location. Neither had the trailer I actually required. A tandem axel either open or enclosed would have done extremely well. I had to get a small open single axel instead, leading to having to make 2 trips instead of one. Other than that all went well.DOUGLAS J.

The trailer was in a field with the tongue of the trailer on the ground. This is a heavy trailer and couldnt be lifted by hand. I had to get my jack out of my truck and raise it up. It took half an hour to just get it on my trailer hitch. There was no help and when I pulled it out across a field the guy in charge told me he couldnt lift it either and had to get a jack out as well. Ridiculous.Leonard G.

I had pre- ordered 24 blankets- they didn't have them on day I arrived. I had pre-ordered a furniture dolly - they didn't have it on day of delivery. When I got there their was less than a 1/4 tank of gas- so I had to fuel up before I even started. Was dissatisfied with the equipment & fuel. Either accept, or don't accept visa debit & pre-paid credit cards. I wanted just a plain pickup truck, but because U-haul doesn't accept visa debit or pre-paid credit cards, I was forced to take a 10FT cube van due to time constraints. I could use either of my cards for big trucks, but not regular pickup truck or regular van. STUPID!!! And of course, the 10FT cube van cost me almost DOUBLE over the pickup by the end of the day. Rate, gas mileage, deposit up front, ect. Luckily I had enough money to cover it all. Just a DUMB policy that is not mentioned anywhere in the online reservation/ check-in process that I know of. Had I known in advance I would have went to another company because I would have been SCREWED if that 10FT cube was not available because I didn't have time at that point to go elsewhere to find a pickup. Just mad about that & having to spend so much extra on gas. Especially with gas prices what they are now. OTHERWISEâ€¦â€¦ everything was good and went well! Both locations (pick up and drop off) were fine however the reservation process was absolutely HORRIBLE and I am very disapointed with the online service provided by Uhaul! I reserved a 10' truck online. Received and confirmation email with the following info in it: Order Summary Rental Equipment Reservation #: 22656849 Pick Up Location: Saturn Sales and Service Inc 130 Guelph Ave Cambridge, ON N3C1A4 Pick Up Date: Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at 12:00 PM Drop Off Location: Depanneur Telmosse 1404 Qc-117 Mont-Tremblant, QC J8E2X8 Drop Off Date: Friday, June 3, 2022 Equipment: 10' Truck On May 31 at 12:00, when we went to this address to pick up, there was NO truck there, the building was boarded up and there was no one there!!!! We already had our furniture in our driveway, ready to go only to find out that we had no truck!!! I phoned Customer Service and had to wait over an hour for my call to be answered... In the meantime, I called uHaul Traffic control and was told that nothing could be done to help us, there was no truck available for us and that anyway there were not allowing any truck to go outside Ontario due to a shortage !!!! I could not believe it!!! We never received any call or notificaion of this. Also found out that our reservation had beeen changed : online, the pick up date was now Thursday June 2nd... ???? Nobody could tell us who had made the change to our reservation... After insisting that they person on th ephone at Traffic ctrl look into our matter and try to find us a truck, she tols us that there was a truc available in Hanover (4 hr drive there and back) that we could pick up on June 2nd. However this truck could not be dropped off at our requested location (Depanneur Telmosse, 1404 Qc-117 Mont-Tremblant, QC J8E2X8) it had to be dropped off in Ottawa (4h drive to and from our original drop off location!!!). Eventually, we received a call back from Customer service and spoke with Katie Prevot, E-Customer Service Agent, who was able to find a truck for us, to be picked up in Brantford (45 minute to and from) and that we could drop off at the originally requested location (Depanneur Telmosse, 1404 Qc-117 Mont-Tremblant, QC J8E2X8). I stilll cannot believe the discrepancy between the service received from Ms. Prevot and the very poor service received by the person at Traffic ctrl... Why was this person at Traffic ctrl unable to secure the truck in Brantford for us? Why wasn't she able to secure drop off at our requested location??? Even after I requested that she checked with her manager??? And most important: WHY DID THE ONLINE BOOKING SYSTEM ALLOWED US TO RESERVE A TRUCK TO PICK UP AT A LOCATION THAT NO LONGER EXISTS???? I am baffled at the poor service and lack of consistency in quality??? I am also appelled that Uhaul was unable to give us a better treatement after putting us in this terrible situation!!!!Gunther T.

I had to drive 45 mins away from where I lived to pick up the truck, then drive 40 mins away from where I moved to drop off the truck. My reservation was changed twice, the overall experience was poor, I would not recommend Uhual service.Darcy H.

1) dont change my reservation last minute 2) don't offer me a deal and then not apply it to my account so that I am over charged 3) dont transfer me on the phone 6 times in 40 minutes only to hangup on me as I'm transfered to the 6th person 4) the location was decent, the whole experience with the company was horrendous. Would not recommend to anyone, and will be sure to share how bad my experience was to anyone I know who isoving so that they choose a different company.Spencer C.

Sales person needs to better understand the PreAuthorized charges. Where UHaul preauthorizes more than the amount booked. Salesperson Could not explain why the charges were more. But i was able to figure it out since it was a preauthorized amount and not the Actaul rental amount.Kerry L.

I filled out the on-line form so that I could pick up my U-Haul quickly. I ended up being there for 50 minutes before getting the keys! Other customers took precedence and I had to call U-Haul twice regarding taxes owed, which he said were paid upfront, even though I had already paid taxes online.Melissa C.
Location where truck was parked was not plowed at all, it snowed on Thursday night. Pick up was Saturday. The lot where trucks are parked is very small. Mine was parked against fence with another truck back right up to the rear. Small trailer close to front of truck. VERY difficult to get out of the spot made worse by lot not plowed. Several trucks were also having difficulty. Took 30 minutes to clear truck of ice build up. Good place to rent in better weather.Kim S.

Uhaul charged me 217.37, due to fuel not being filled to almost a full tank. I recieved the uhaul on empty (50 miles to empty) I drove the uhaul for 8km, I put 1/4 tank of gas when I dropped the uhaul off. I am very disappointed in these charges, and I hope for it to be rectified soon. I also booked a uhaul 1 week prior to this rental, 2 uhaul rentals in 2 weeks. And this is how my business is recognized. I will never rent from uhaul again. I do not recommend!Gord M.

I have used another location in town in the past, Brantford Motorcycle. who came out and hooked up the trailer for me, so i can compare. At this location, this trailer was in back yard, not plowed out, fortunately i have 4WD and used it to back in and pull out and to on the return we had more snow which wasn't cleared away out back. The lights didn't work straight away and when i got them to work, the left single light wasn't operating. One could see that particular light was punched in, the lens not broken, but didn't work for the job intended. I did a complete circle check and all else looked fine. I took a video of the trailer before leaving to contest damages if needed. No one was there to assist me when dropping it off. No one was available to receive the trailer on the return, i left it where in the same area that i picked it up from. The trailer did the job and i signaled in some areas with my arm, a cold day to do that. U-haul has other locations, i will go there instead.TIMOTHYR V.

I have rented 3 different trucks over the past week. 2 were absolutely filthy in passenger cab and 1 was filthy in the cargo cab. Also 1 truck had issues with the gear box and in my opinion should not be on the road until repaired. My latest rental requires new tires.FRANCESCO Z.

The trailer was in good mechanival condition, clean on the inside and ready for use. The yard was basically just a field behind the store and was a little muddy in places due to all of the rain we have had lately but other than that, everything was fine. I ordered two dollies and never received them and still didn't get them off my bill once I talked with the person inside. Also I refilled the gas gauge to what I got it at and was told the gas gauge was less. So then I got charged for not putting enough gas in. They were very inexperienced. They didnt even know what the insurance covered. They never told us to take a picture of the mileage before we came in the return, so we had to make a long walk into the back, in the pouring rain, to go get it. There is only one person working the store and UHaul, so they had to keep going back and forth. Therefore it took a long time.KELLY T.

The truck.was slightly below half when I picked it up. I only drove it 14.6 km which would have used less than 2 litres of gas. I was billed for fuel to bring it up to the half. The location was good for where I needed. The lot is quite muddy as the units are located in the back and on dirt and grass. The trailer worked well for my needs and pickup and drop-off were fairly easy. I wasn't too happy that I had spent the time to go online and do the pre-pickup signing in only to find it wasn't done when I arrived at the store. I felt it wasted my time.Darren T.
