Parking lot was very uneven and tore up. Uhaul made me drive three hours total to pick up one of their trucks I reserved over a month in advance and made me pay for the gas to get it back to Fargo before even using it for what I rented it for.Dallas R.

The Fargo location supposedly didn't have 26' trucks available (even though there were three on site - I have pictures) and I had to drive 226 miles round trip to pick up the truck. I was not compensated for my travel to pick up the truck in the alternate location. I booked the truck over one month before the scheduled pick up. Why am I required to pick up a truck for UHaul? I'm not one of your employees.Heather W.
The directions for drop off and the physically address for drop off location were both incorrect for this drop off location. Thankfully we knew someone from town that knew where the actual location was. The directions for drop off mentioned a secure Uhaul lock box etc, but there was nothing like that on the property. It's just a gravel lot with a bunch of Uhauls parked in it.Journey G.

The approval system needs other options. We did it on a Sunday morning and people didn't answer, didn't have a passport available as in a safe deposit box (bank not open on Sunday), job closed on Sunday so couldn't use that. We finally were able to get someone to answer phone but it was a very frustrating process.Jeff L.

Originally was supposed to pick up in Fargo. I would suggest to not try and overbook trailers in the future. Luckily I was able to pick the trailer up on they way to Fargo, but I would have not been happy if I would have had to backtrack.Chris F.
When I got there, there was one customer in front of me, I had parked where I was possibly blocking them in. I gave my keys to the clerk in case he needed to move my car while hooking up the previous customers trailer. In a very short period of time he came back said I was all hooked up and just needed to sign the paperwork. Fast friendly service!Rod W.

Shutter's is great. Returning the trailer with the app was not a good experience. I wasn't sure the process was complete the way it finished. It would also be great if there were a one time link to use instead of having to log in and try to recall user names and passwords.russ W.
The location was closed on Saturday, even though their hours on the phone and on the door said they were open. When we went to mobile check-in, we proceeded with the vehicle that was given to us. When we went to find the key, as described online it was "under the driver seat" but it was not. We then were on call with Uhaul corporate for 1.5 hours for them to describe a lock box, which still had the incorrect vehicle key, the one we were assigned never had a key left in the lock box so we had to go through switching reservations to a vehicle that was there that had a key. Additionally, we requested a 20' truck and were given a 26' truck, which is more expensive in gas milage, so we had to pay that difference. Overall, the experience was terrible and no one at this location was around to help.Brett L.
The online check in was nothing but painful. If something wasn't entered correctly it just sat there. We ended up calling the 8** number and the lady on the phone was SUPER helpful and got us rolling - after we spent 40 minutes waiting online and another 10 minutes waiting on the phone trying to check in.Jade V.
Checking in was a nightmare. I was picking up at 530am and customer service was asking me to take all sorts of pictures in the dark and asking for telephone numbers to call to verify pickup in the sleeping hours of the day! I had done all of this on line the week before. It was unexpected and upsetting to me. PLUS I brought the truck back twelve hours (a day of rental?!) Earlier than expected. Other than that...where I picked it up and the folks running Shutters in Alexandria were excellent to work with!Jean H.

I couldn't recommend any improvements because it was the fastest, most hassle free, straight forward rental I've been seen. It is a small lot really tight to a busy road is the only thing that I can think of that wasn't just buttery and they can't control traffic so they get 5 stars in my eyesKyle H.

I would appreciate a phone call about the very poor service at the pickup point, They changed our location to get truck from Morris to an hour away at Alexandria. When we arrived they said engine had been run, but they did not point our truck as we eventually we found it in snow pile and full of snow and ice and no tracks leading to truck (it was hard for me to start). It was stuck in snow so I was left trying to get it into the cleared part of u-haul lot by myself. Then it took an additional hour to scrape ice off windshield (I broke my personal scrapper) as they had no ice melt. They had made not effort to help or even explain anything about the truck. Absolutely no help of any kind with rental truck. Following morning battery was dead and could not find anyone to help start truck. Went to Morris U-haul as they did not answer phone either and facility was totally closed around 9:30 AM so called U-haul national number to get service ticket and help which never happened as they found no one to help or return our call for assistance. I then called Alexandria U-haul to ask that they for help finding someone to jump their truck and they said no and due to distance we were on our own. Instead I finally found a stranger at hotel that I paid $8 out of pocket so I could use his jumper cables. The frozen windshield put us behind from leaving the first night so spent night in hotel in same town we initially tried renting from and then had to spend a second night in hotel because we lost so much time trying to find someone to start the dead battery. The trailers running lights were not on and I was pulled over. My hitch and wiring were installed at a Uhaul in Fargo. Shutters is not at fault. Maybe a double check at pick up to make sure all lights are good to go or light tester on 4 prong connector.Robert R.

Only issue is that I was not aware of the mileage total allowance. I had to drive 15 Miles the opposite way to load up, and had one errand to run, and it put me 40 miles over and I had to pay extra. Assumption should not be made that the most direct route will be taken, or at least highlight that to customers.Steve G.
