I am a disabled senior. Upon check-in I was informed i had to park my car off the property. The truck would not be rented until I did. I asked where I could park & was told " I can't advise a place, but if you park on any of these neighboring lots you will be towed". Then with a wave of a hand the clerk told me my truck was at the back of the lot. I had 2 sets of blankets to pick up, but no effort was made to bring the truck up to the front area, or load my moving supplies, even though the store was empty. No walk around was performed, I was told it was "optional". The clerk did accommodate my request for a smaller truck than I booked, so that's the 1 star and the truck was maintained & performed as needed. It wasn't clear how or where to return the truck, so I pulled into an available parking spot. A guy came out & was yelling that I had to move the truck around to a covered area, I asked him to help me move the truck. He refused & just kept yelling that I had to move the truck or he wouldn't check me in. Again, as a mobility challenged person, I had a lot of difficulty climbing in and out of the truck. Since he wasn't helpful, I proceeded to gather my items from the cab & go retrieve my car. When I came back, I moved the truck to the covered area. No one was around. I went inside the store and eventually the same clerk from the morning came out and again waved a hand to "shoo" me outside and told that returns are handled by the guy outside. Finally the "outside guy" showed up again & proceeded to to a vehicle inspection for 15 minutes. I think prisoner intake is more friendly than U-haul, which has never been my experience in the past. I don't know if this is limited to Lynnwood, it was my first rental here, or if U-haul has spiraled completely out of customer service all together. I'll use the A.I. bot next time - these guys were useless !

CARLOS MThe employee Thaddeus was not customer friendly. I would go so far as rude and demeaning. I have rented here twice and he was unpleasant every time. This one thing made the experience poor. Everyone else was awesome though. Besides Thaddeus the people were outstanding.

Jenni AAt both pick up and drop off, this location was understaffed. At pick up, only one person working and I was delayed from my reservation time. Adding to the delay was the technology issues the employee had with registers, jumping from one to another to another because they were not working. These process delays ate at my time with my rental start time. At drop off, there were 2 people working, but I had to wait a line of several people, pushing me past my turn in time. I also could not pull up to the rental return with the truck because a personal vehicle was blocking the entry. Overall, the experience was not bad but it could improve with more staff. If I am required to give a specific time for a rental and specific time for a return, the supplier needs to also abide by time constraints in how they deliver service.

Brenda JOriginal reservation at Silverlake did not have my Uhaul the morning of pickup. Changed reservation to Lynnwood only to be told that I was at the wrong Lynnwood location. Finally got a truck, but was given a 26’ when I ordered a 20’, so reservation was more expensive, worse gas mileage and had to travel 30 miles more out of my way. Not fun.

awa bI needed a truck for just a few hours and time was of the essence. I needed to go get something that was unexpected and I couldn’t get it in my car. The friendly folks at UHaul had lots of different trucks that were available. I did my business and estimated the mileage. When I returned to UHAUL the drop off was even easier and faster. I received an email final tally receipt with a credit for the unused miles. I had filled the gas back to full like I found it and the final bill was accurate. Seamless and convenient for me. Highly recommended

I felt dismissed as a customer and I don’t feel confident in my future moving needs with UHaul.

Nancy CI usually don’t have an issue with this location because the level of service is higher here (other locations often have trailers with visible dirt inside instead of just some dust). Unfortunately, this time I picked up a trailer that had a smell of smoked fish inside, and this was unacceptable. I made it known to the staff. Please reply to me with the contact of the location owner or supervisor because I need to ensure this reaches them and does not happen again

edward mI paid for 30 miles when I got the truck. When I brought it back it was driven 30 miles exactly. I took pictures of the odometer. Why was i charged an additional 30$ ?
Jere RThe guy working at the register was the best part of the experience. He was friendly and honest, and he made up for the troubles we experienced by not getting the truck we ordered. Also, there is basically ZERO parking on-site so we had to park at a nearby business. I was worried we would get a ticket, so that issue should be addressed. But there was plenty of packing materials/supplies, and again the guy who helped us was great. For the record, we ordered a 20ft Uhaul truck for our one-way, cross-country move - I scheduled it 5-weeks in advance! I also visited my nearby Uhaul where I made the reservation a few days prior to pick up to check on my reservation. I was told that I didn't need to worry about anything - the truck would be available. On the day of our move, we went to the pick-up location we were instructed to visit on the app....and our truck was not there. The guy working the location had no information, so we had to call Uhaul support. I will say that calling support was easier and more pleasant than I expected. Everyone I spoke to was friendly and tried hard to be helpful. However, we had to rent a smaller truck and our move was significantly impacted by the reduction in space. We had to leave items behind and now we're still trying to figure out how to get our items to our new home, which is going to cost us more money than we budgeted for our move. It's a mess and it's really unfortunate.
