LUIS AI think the attendant that hands over the key should allow us to park our personal vehicles In the same spot we grab the uhaul. I had to waste like 20 mins of my time looking for street parking and then walk 15 mins to get the uhaul which took away time from my rental it's just not the best location for sure but also we should be able to park our personal vehicles on the property.

LIBERATO LThis location relies on the app check in. My app was slow and glitchy and the gas station attendant didn't speak English well and we weren't able to communicate. When I picked up my van, three of four tires had a low pressure warning (low 40s out of max 90 psi per tire), there was only 50 miles of gas in the tank, the windshield wiper fluid was completely out and there was an error message for the parking brake. But there was no one to really talk to and after spending nearly 30 minutes trying to get the app to work and contacting customer service three separate times, I was running late AND there was no one to flag any of these issues to. I will never rent from this location again.

PETER LToilets were clean but it's a gas station in East Harlem NY so we didn't plan to stick around. The drop off app did NOT work well and was a huge hassle. We finally phoned customer service to complete the return. The app has a lot of glitches. For example, it did not like ANY of our photos even when we exactly replicated the requested picture. It also kept locking up on various devices. I would not recommend to folks that they use the app for pick-up/drop-off. Small thing but kind of odd that there was no drop box and we were told to leave the keys on the gas station sales counter.

STEVEN FI pre-reserved a dolly with my cargo van and the clerk was just like “yeah sorry we don’t have anything. I took it off your bill”. Not really what you want to hear when you’ve reserved a dolly and were counting on it to help you with the move. Pretty unacceptable. Not blaming the clerk specifically - but the system shouldn’t allow me to reserve a dolly that doesn’t exist
BRAHIM EI decided that I wanted a dolly, they were none on hand, but since I hadn’t ordered it ahead of time, not their fault.
ANN EI was given incorrect information that resulted in an overcharge.
MIRIAM RI arrived around 2:30-2:45 my reservation was for 3. The attendant at the counter said he couldn’t help because the manager leaves at 3 and I stated how it’s not 3 yet and dismissed me. I had to call to transfer my reservation to a mobile pick up and it just went down hill from there. I didn’t get a U-Haul until almost 4. The worst experience I’ve received thus far with U-Haul. Will never recommend this location to anyone.
Shakeema LI live on the Upper East Side of Manhattan and this location at 102nd and Lexington is very convenient. I did not have far to go.
WILLIAM DTo be honest the people are rude didn’t help at all I had to figure it out I literally watched two customers leave because of the disrespect and confusion I wanted to make a early appointment but had to make the appt in the afternoon by that time “they were closed “ But they were open for ga customers and the store itself was open I’m writing this in hopes that things change and they do better business completely unnecessary to be mean and disrespectful to people

Christina SIt was confusing because there were no signs and only a bunch of U Haul vehicles surrounding a shell gas station. Thank goodness for the self-check out on the app. The keybox is inside the gas station cashier area.
Edward CIn saying that the equipment was clean and well maintained, I am saying that the truck was in good working order and usable. The tires looked like they were new, the interior of the back of the truck was clean, and the truck was in good working order. However, the interior of the cab had some trash in it, and the cup holder area needed to be cleaned off with wet wipes. Also, the windshield needed to be cleaned on the inside and outside. I recommend this location because of convenience. If you live in the part of Manhattan that is above 96th St and below 125th St, picking up a truck here is fairly easy to do.
ROSS JThe truck that I was given was dirty on the inside, It looked like no one ever cleans the inside of the truck.
IVAN GThere was some small items left behind from the previous renter in the back of the truck and a hint of a cigarette smell...the location had boxes but the app didn't show that they did. It only displayed other locations that were out of the way. However the app did allow me to add a dolly and furniture blankets which the location did not have. It would have been extremely helpful to have the dolly...it was of utmost importance but we had to make do without it. Seems there is some miscommunication between the app and the actual locations and what they have and don't have.The truck was low on fuel as well, below half. Strange because the truck shared a parking lot with a gas station. Would have been nice for it to be full before we rented. The people working at the gas station were friendly and attentive. They were quick to help and get us on the road. The truck was in overall good condition and I felt comfortable driving it. It just wasn't the cleanest. My experiences with U Haul have been good overall and I do often recommend this service to others.

CLEMENT SVery crowded. Had a hard time finding a place to park the van upon return. Lack of people in the office to provide help. Finally helped by someone who was curt and unfriendly. Not a typical U Haul experience unfortunately.

JEFFREY GUhaul in NYC at most locations have really gone down in overall quality. The vans are always filthy and I hate having to check in through an app. Uhaul should be paying me to work for them. That is essentially what the customer is forced to do at this point. There are not many options for truck rentals so it’s easy for them to get away with dirty vehicles and online checkin. I prefer speaking to a representative when checking in and have always had good customer service in the past. I will start seeking out other options.
MARAYA GNo disrespect to the gentleman, but the gas station attendant could barely speak English and told me for an 8am pickup, I would have to wait until 9am to speak with a representative. Finally conceded that I needed to use the app. Dollies that I purchased were missing from my pickup van and he said none were in stock.

ANAYA AI included an appliance dolly in my reservation. When I arrived to pick up my rental, I was told that there were none left. The employee see it's first come, first serve and that people can come whenever they want and bascially take whatever they want even if they don't have a reservation. He said the gas station employee just gives them the key and that it's beyond his control. What's the point of having a reservation system if no one follows it. After all this, the employee tells me to go to any other Uhaul location. They'll have dollies and I won't have to return it to the location I rented it from. I went to 1 Uhaul and was told the dollies are assigned to the trucks and everything was already reserved. I went to another Uhaul and was told I'd have to return the dolly to the same location. Also, they didn't have appliance dollies, only furtniture dollies. I had a really stressful morning and was tired of running around, so I took the furniture dolly. The employee at that location managed to set it up so I could return it to a different location. This was all very stressful, time consuming, and overall an unpleasant experience.
LINETTE DDishonest personnel. When returned the truck, they asked me to leave the car for them to checkout later. Wanted to bill me for refueling, though I provided receipt for 3 gallons of fuel for 12 miles. I disputed the transaction with my credit card bank, who reversed the charge.

CARLOS VThere was trash in both the bed and back of the truck that included used dental floss, used toothpicks, cracker wrappers, cups and glasses and a handful of loose screws. The location also did not have any of the furniture blankets I rented, this resulted in me using my own linens and blankets to protect my furniture and a lot of it went unprotected so much of it is marked and scuffed from the from the dirt in the back of the truck. This truck also had two leaks in the cabin on the passenger side where water would drip on the head and shoulder of the passenger when it was raining (which happens frequently when driving from NYC to Florida in late Summer). Aside from that, the location and reservation time was changed on me last minute. This last minute change was made after I had confirmed movers and packers to arrive the morning of my move (8/31), due to this time change I had to pay the packers and movers for an extra 2 hours in order to keep the appointment. This cost me an additional $600 and Uhaul did not offer any alternative solutions to this when I explained the situation. I could have picked up a different sized truck or from a different location. I could have picked up blankets from a different location so that I am not now spending more money having these items professionally cleaned.
