This location is the best of the many that I have used in the NYC area

The employees were nice enough and good. But the truck seemed like it was something from the early 1980's. No power windows. Rear view mirrors also required manual adjustments. The cab was filthy I had to pay someone to clean the interior of the cab. Most importantly to clean the windows, every single one was filthy to the point of being a danger.

There are no 24 hour representative and you're picking up the vehicle from a gas station whereby they have no idea on the process and cannot help you . Forget about a mobile check in , they have no idea how to assist. So you have to call a representative despite mobile check in and hope for a response.

The directions to where my vehicle was parked were not totally clear/accurate so I had to spend some time walking up to each vehicle. It said to the left of the gas station (left when facing which way?) when really it was parked across the street from the gas station. Additionally, I didn't know there were going to be multiple verification steps that might require either my passport or lease agreement, neither of which I had on my by the time I got to the site. Knowing the information ahead of time of what would be required to check in on site would have been useful.

I booked everything online and then still had to go to the register and wait to do it all over again. The van had a half a tank of gas and no washer fluid. The windows were filthy. None of that seems to make sense when the location is a gas station as well. Also, the van was not equipped with easy pass, which is standard in 2022. Very inconvenient. I won't use this location again.

The scheduler at UHaul scheduled me for pickup at 7am with this location. I had to scramble to download the app and figure the system out at 7am because this location doesn't actually open until 9am. Thank god for the guy in the gas station there who could help/had access to the keys.

I received a call from Uhaul representative 5 minutes before my scheduled truck pick up to cancel my pick up previously arranged at Chelsea. I had to make last minute rearrangements and travel further to pick up a truck somewhere else at this other location and pay my staff extra time for the time they invested. This is unacceptable to inform someone last minute of a cancellation which cost me extra time and money. It was a struggle finding a truck somewhere else and then having to rearrange all the plans.

Terrible experience with U-haul. The agent at the Lexington location was rude and unkind. The uhaul I was given had a broken rear view mirror, was dirty, was in disrepair. I was afraid to drive it but was in a difficult situation so took it away. I was charged about $150 more than the agreed upon price. The gas was below a quarter of a tank but they published the price at 1/4 tank. The guy at the station said he didn't care whether I liked the price or the vehicle because it was haul and not really his business so I could leave if I wasn't happy. Terrible all the way around. Never will I use haul again. Awful experience

The gas pumps are set up poorly. If you are using a Credit Card, they make you input exactly how much money you are spending. So therefore, after a trip, you are unable to just 'fill it up' - so that you return the van full - without overspending.

The gentleman behind the counter was very courteous, helpful and friendly. Truck was clean, and made my moving adventure very pleasant. The AC coolness helped greatly during my ride. A gentleman was waiting when I returned the truck, and I handed him the key, and went on my way, without any complications. I definitely would recommend U-Haul rental to a friend.

The dropping off is a little confusing if it the first time. I drop it off sooner then expected and hour later I received a text saying everything I needed to do when drop off at this point it was too late…. It would have been good to know everything before hand

The gas attendant wasn't helpful at all when I was confused about picking up U-Haul, when the U-Haul attend it had already left for the day. He just waved his hands in the air and said he didn't know anything. But when I did get a uhual customer service rep on the phone and she told me how to check in online, and how to get the truck, when I finally was ready to get the key, all the sudden gas station attendant knew what was going on at spoke English. The attendee That was there when I turned in the truck was very nice and very helpful. Also the address is very confusing I read it as 102 Lexington as opposed to 102 Street Lexington, which is where I went to first

I am not satisfied with the servuce. I was charged for 1.8 gallon of gas for ONLY 4 miles. I demand refund of that charge. The location is in a gas station, quite cramped space with no trustable office in sight. There is no customer service. I am not sure if I will rent from this location again.

It was great at first but the person working when I returned it was a complete jerk (I'm using this word intentionally, not as hyperbole) to myself and another person trying to get a truck. There wasn't even any issue or complaint. The person running the location was angry, dismissive, and unprofessional with no obvious reason for it. Overall I'll need to re use this location because of the move, but if I could avoid it, I would.

Friendly staff, clean van. For improvements, the passenger van had a light indicating the engine oil was empty. This seems like better maintenance can be monitored. I would also recommend a system in which the gas tank needs to be full when returned in lieu of starting out with less than 1/4 of a tank.
