My only complaint was being charged a $1 a mile for the truck.

AKRAM SThe truck was disgustingly dirty it also had the check engine light on the whole time and when I called the gas station directly they said it was a flat rate rental but when I returned it I was charged 500$ for mileage and he said it was because I reserved it through the U-Haul app and not directly with them. I’ll never use them again. I paid more than 700 to move 2 couches and a bed with dresser from Staten Island to Yonkers and did it myself to save money for that price I could of just hired movers with a truck

Paul LThe van had sheetrock debris and dust all over. Also garbage from previous renters in the cabin area. The day I returned the van, it appears that a screw penetrated one of the tires, probably on the premises of the U-Haul location, and the person who checked out the contract said that I was going to be responsible for a new tire. I was surprised to hear this, and there is no way I am going to pay for a new tire under such circumstances that were not my fault

Eric SDropped off my rental on 10/26/24. They didn’t give me paperwork and insisted that I would be emailed my receipts. A week goes by and U-Haul calls asking of the whereabouts of the equipment. What do you mean? I returned it a week ago. Uhaul calls them and the drop off location states they don’t have record of my return… well that’s not true. I go back to the location I left the trailer and it just so happens to be in the exact spot I left it in a week prior. Come to find out the drop off location never submitted the paperwork on their end and my reservation was overdue in the system by a week. These people then had to audacity to tell me I was wrong when I went to confront them and that it was already done. Umm… no it’s not! I wouldn’t leave until they settled everything and all the documents had to correct dates so I didn’t get charged extra. The manager or whoever was half-assed helping me was incredibly rude the whole time and made it seem like he was doing me a favor by not charging extra when it was his mistake in the first place! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS LOCATION.

Viktor KI would recommend to someone who actually lives on Staten Island. I was forced to travel hour out my way and pay tolls for retrieve truck. The truck was poorly maintained . Whole time I drove it I felt like the front left tire might fall off. The truck the whole time uncontrollably while on highway and constantly pulled to the right. Felt very unsafe

Ana Rthe location pick up was excellent the issue i have is, i was told by uhaul my vehicle will be at uhaul of bensonhurst right near my home, then i was advised vehicle was at a different location in Brooklyn, on the way i was advised vehicle was not at that location even though uhaul confirmed vehicle there, i was told i needed to go to staten island where i had to pay $80 cash to a car service to get me there. the person from uhaul was very considerate & advised i would get a credit on my account for that cost. as of yet no credit has shown up. please contact me @ 9178564400 thank you joshua
joshua jI’m not sure of what the expectation should be when renting one of these vans. The storage area in the back of the van smelled as if someone transported farm animals before me and was barely acceptable to put my furniture into. The van did not have a full tank of gas. Were certain small items that were in disrepair. Truly a horrible experience just trying to book one of these, but this location did help me out.
Steven DTerrible customer service. The employee was rude and non collaborative. Screamed at me and have me wait over 45 mins to get a truck. Claimed I needed a NY license to rent the vehicle. The truck was super dirty and horrible condition water bottles, trash and even lots of dust. Trash in the box as well. The contract showed it has 1/4 gas but it was incorrect truck was empty with the gas light on. This Person really need some customer service training.

John rThe truck was filthy inside full of dust and concrete. When I booked online I placed separate pick up and drop off. The location changed it to same drop off. Increasing my mileage PLUS I had a car following me around for no reason. Also the person behind the cash register did not seem knowledgeable about the process. I know you can do better!
Richard BI had a great experience with this location. Unfortunately, they did not have the appliance hand truck I ordered but they gave me a regular hand truck at the reduced price and we made it work. I appreciate the guys who helped us at this location.

Daniel Dthe steering on the truck was very poor, need an alignment or something. every bump we were all over the road. even took a 10 minute video of the steering wheel and how difficult it was to keep the truck straight. now I do not have any social media , however the person I was with most certainly does.
Peter BJust filled up more gas than it should be returned with, I got the truck with 1/4 tank gas and returned it with almost 1/2 tank and was expected to get back a credit like the other U haul in Jersey.
Abdelmoneim SLearn customer service. It shouldn't be that hard. Why do you show different charges on the booking quote and alter the whole thing at point of service.
Roy MI paid $0.99 per mile before. I don’t know why I’m paying $1.59 per mile now.

Jun DI put gas into the van, they charged me for gas, I uploaded a picture and changed the gas on the document when I got into the van bc it was NOT at half it was under half and I still got charged.

theresa mCharged me multiple times and did not give me the correct vehicle keys, so check out was a hassle and I spent 3 hours trying to resolve, and I used the truck for 30min and drove 7miles total. I am still waiting for my refunds.
Leilani PLocation was not able to provide the supplies that were ordered on the website claiming that they no longer provide them because of COVID, but I was still charged for them. Truck had a check engine light on and a missing AC vent, and notes from previous customers taped to the dash to hide it.
