They said I would get a text message and my balance would be adjusted automatically. It was not and no text ever received. They charged me $20 to much and it was never adjusted. $19.99 for i town rental and $.99 per mile for 33 miles should have been around $53 they put a hold on my card for $77. The entire experience was a mess from start to finish. Pickup, cost, scheduling, drop off, phone calls, help desk, and getting final bill. The entire thing!GEORGE H.

The guy was making lewd comments about the type of relationship between me and the young man with me. When I tried to stop him right there by informing him the young man was my SON, that didn't stop him and he kept going on like that was not the case. He kept pointing out that I had to have it back by 4:45 the next day, when I mentioned I rented it for 24 hrs, 5 pm to 5 pm, he berated me that it was just a difference of 15 minutes, then kept talking about nonsense stuff for an extra 15 minutes before giving me the keys. They admitted to not checking over the vehicle after the previous rental. Inappropriate behavior, rude, and careless. But U-Haul chooses to let these things represent them. With an appointment it still took an hour and a half to get the utility trailer off the lot. There was only one man working and he was efficient, professional, and friendly. There were 5 customers in line in front of us when we arrived. Everyone had appointments to rent some sort of Uhaul.Cyndee T.
Picked up vehicle in a liquor store the smelled of weed. Took forever and the older man was rude as well as unprofessional. Kept making comments about wanted to use my credit card. Vehicle has been wrecked/damaged many times and was in desperate need of maintainer. The location changed our pickup time without notifying us. It was originally for 8am and they changed it to 10am. By chance we decided to check the reservation the night before and discovered the change. We tried to call the location but it was closed and U-Haul customer service was no help either. We had movers scheduled for 9 am and we were fortunate that they were flexible and allowed us to change our time to 11am. If we had not checked on the reservation the night before, we would have had serious problems with the movers we had scheduled. The location would have caused us major issues due to their lack of communication. Additionally, the guy in the store was rude and complained to everyone in the store about how he was overwhelmed and that he didn't have help.James M.

My comments do not pertain to this specific location as much as our overall experience. My husband and I have used U-Haul many times and have never had such an experience as we did this time. The day before our pickup, we were called and told that we needed to pickup the truck in Copperas Cove, TX instead of Leander, TX. Instead of at 9:00 am, the pickup was at 10:00 am almost 50 miles away. They were comping us 50 miles and an extra day. Sounds great, but it took almost an hour to get the truck and we were there before 10:00 am. We had to drive our personal vehicle almost 100 miles and the U-Haul almost 50 miles just to get to our home. We had to reschedule our loaders from 10:30 to 11:30 and we were still late getting there, which cost us an additional $120.00 and delayed us by 3 hours. This affected our unloa as well. We rescheduled for Monday evening but they were unable to make it until 9:30 pm and our storage unit closed at 10:00 pm. Needless to say, we had to unload a 26 ft by ourselves. My husband has a broken arm and my daughter is 7 months pregnant. My husband and I are 61 years old and this was very taxing on us all. The stress of this move was unbearable. U-Haul seemed to think all of this was Ok, I disagree! I believe that you owe us some compensation for all of the delays and stress you have caused us! I am not sure I would use or recommend U-Haul to anyone at this point. Also, I had to go to another U-haul dealer to pickup the furniture pads that we requested, since the dealer with truck had none. No personnel to assist with unhooking my car from the tow dolly. I am an older, disabled person who was forced to get on my hands and knees to crawl under the car to unhook chains secured to the tow dolly. If I had known how unprofessional this location is, I would have gone to a full-service dropoff location in Killeen. This U-haul operator should have his franchise revoked!ROBERT L.

My experience was horrible, I had clearly schedueled an 8:00 am appointment to pick up my 26 foot truck to no avail. This was schrdueled 3 days in advance to be told that id have to drive an additional thirty minutes to copperas cove to pick up my vehicle. The terrible part of that besides the additional 40 miles im being charged for usage, was that my young daughters dentiat appointment was schedueled for 12:00 in the afternoon. Not only did i miss my daughters appointment since i was informed that copperas cove doesnt open up until 10, but i was given incorrect addreses in order to pick up said moving vehicle. The only decent part of this horrific experience was the customer service of the operations management in trust of said vehicles. I contacted a woman who stated that there's nothing that can be done about the huge mistake on u hauls behalf and that i am to pay for the additional mileage to drop the vehicle back off. My wife and I are horrified by how terrible the supposed manager on thr phone working for u haul handled my call and how rude she was. Something must be done to correct this awfull mistake that will cost me an entire day off work that wasnt schedueled for the missed dental appointment.Thomas H.
