It said on the u haul web site it's 1.19 per km I was charged 1.92 per km why ?

FRANCYN MTried to give me a truck where the driver side door does not open from the outside. They claim the door mechanism was broken and you could only enter through the passenger side. You could exit the vehicle on the driver side but will not be able to open the door once closed. I told them this is a safety issue and they persisted that it wasn’t because you could still get in through the passenger side. I told them that if there was an emergency where EMS had to rescue me from the car, they would not have good access to me. After much discussion they gave me a different truck. Pretty unhappy that they tried to take advantage of me. I do not think I will be giving my business to UHaul anymore.

DMITRII IStaff were friendly and polite. Truck and all others on the lot were filthy inside and out. We even had empty pop cans from previous user rolling around inside. Have used UHaul numerous times before but trucks were never like this.
MURRAY PWoman had a ton of people coming in and didn’t give any information. Just handed over the keys. I got 5-6 notifications and she said they were just receipts. Then I get home and I see that I was supposed to take photos of XYZ in the truck to cover ourselves, but it had expired due to the time.

ALGERNON KThey had only one person working for the gas station (they don't have pay at the pump) as well as the u-haul desk. He was evidently very busy and it made the check in process take over 30 minutes. They didn't have the 15' truck that we ordered because someone "didn't return it". So we were given a 10' truck and told it would be discounted by $10. That is NOT a discount, that is honoring the price of a 10' truck. Because we got a smaller truck, we had to do two trips to our destination, doubling our mileage charges. After the first trip, the truck got a flat tire. After immediately calling the support line, it took over 3 hours to get someone there to fix the tire. Our entire day was delayed because of the long check in process, the flat tire and then needing to do 2 trips that we no longer had people available to help us move. We are entirely unsatisfied and will be reaching out for reimbursement for our troubles.
KAMRYN DAS it turns out the weather was not good with a temperature of minus 25 degree Celsius the day I needed to use the truck. I do not fault the location at all for the vehicle being dirty it is simply a part of the life we live here in Winnipeg, Canada. This dealer was very accommodating as I had initially thought I would be able to have the vehicle returned by 4 pm but it turned out to be 7 pm! I did call them to advise and they were very easy to deal with. The only complaint I had was not being able to get a receipt or inspection when I returned the vehicle. The attendant indicated I would receive my invoice the next day and I still have yet to receive the invoice or know what I have exactly paid for this rental.
DANNY KThe first truck I was given had broken wipers, this noticed my me after I had warmed up the truck and pulled it from the back of the lot. Perhaps when people have a scheduled pickup times to have the trucks pulled out in front, as well as have the trucks started (warmed up) in winter and quickly looked over (things like wipers) Unfortunately 30 mins of my time was doing all the above first before leaving. Friendly team and was easy to book and return. I would recommend but has those suggestions to improve further

PHILIP IPoor guy was working the night before and was still there the next day when I picked up my rental. They didn’t have the van I reserved but they gave me a 13 ft (big truck) supposedly for the same price. I returned it at 2 pm (2 hours after picking it up) and I don’t receive my receipt of what I was actually being charged for until 3am.Oh by the way they charged me the full truck price not the discount they said for giving my original reservation away. I came here because it was close to home but not worth it and I will travel the extra distance for better service.

JUSTIN FThis dealer is not good. He has own guel station so keeps vehicles fuel low but guage shows full . When person returns vehicle he asks to fuel from their pump and more fuel than which was actually used.

WILLIAM BI picked up the truck and drove about 4kms to my storage locker. It was only then that I opened the back door of the truck and discovered there was a used box spring in the back from a previous renter. I wasn’t about to take a chance since it’s possible it was infested with bed bugs and I was moving a bed of my own so I took the truck back. They gave me a different truck but I had to borrow my sisters scraper to scrape the frost off the windshield. The second truck had a ball of Saran Wrap and a tooth flossing device in the back which tells me it hadn’t been cleaned either. I won’t be returning to that outlet.

SAHIL DThis location has one employee who is there mainly to focus on gas sales, not U-haul rentals. It took a while to get the rental paperwork done due to the constant gas interruption's. When we got in the truck the low tire light was on and a message stated the rear passenger tire had low tire pressure. We brought this to the employee's attention and he said not to worry, this was normal. This was the opposite of what your Important Information email said when I got home and saw my email. When we got the truck the gas gauge was on "F". We drove 10 miles and never left the truck running while loading yet when we filled the tank it took 12 l of gas. We questioned the employee about this and his response was "Oh well, you only needed to fill it to the mark it was at when you started." The gauge was barely off the "F" when I filled it. He didn't seem to care. We will never rent from this location again and I don't know if we will rent from U-haul again.
REGINALD BThe person working at the dealer location was very helpful. Ran into some difficulties on the Uhaul booking system but was able to navigate through it while having many other customers come in to purchase gas. Overall I was impressed with his service and knowledge. On the other hand they rented me a trailer that was not maintained. Damaged safety chain that I was not able to use. The chain that wraps around the rear axle of the loaded vehicle was damaged and not able to use it. I didn’t notice until later in the day when I went to load the vehicle. Ended up stopping at a store and purchased a couple straps.
Adam WWas charged $40 per day not the 19.95 had the truck for 40 days 1000kms are supposed to be included in every weekly rentals or 4000 for every monthly rental was charged for all kms @$1.00 per km not the $0.69 that it should be without the including kms They couldn't contact me to let me know anything but after I return the rental they sent me a email even though they said on the phone they emailed me many time but I never got anything from them they are charging me for damage that was already on the truck when I picked it up and lots more Just not a good experience and I would have rented lots more from them but never again Never will do business with Uhaul ever again

C NMake sure the fuel is full. Don't try to play the game to make it difficult for customers to "return the fuel to same level as before" it's hard to gauge that.
WEI YRegarding question 2, the truck was tidy but it smelled like cigarette smoke. It would have been nice to have the truck deodorized before we rented it. Otherwise everything was fine
SHELLY TI was shocked that my $19.99 van rental turned out to be $86 when I only travelled a very short distance. I think the mileage rates are crazy high, especially since I have to fill it up with gas as well.

JOHN MVery bad experience at this location, they are not loyalty and unreliable on the customer service. I am luckily in everything has been taking a picture in my phone for records. They charged me a double miles and wrong return time and fuel level. I would say that behaviour as same as bandit.

James NThe truck was not maintained in terms of having a full tank of gas. It came pretty much empty and when told to the cashier, they said it's normal, but once we returned the truck, they insisted the gas tank needs to be filled completely despite our initial agreement. He only stopped talking once I told him I had a picture of it as proof. Really fishy and feels like they were trying to scam me. Pathetic.

DANIEL LThe computer system was down and we were on a tight timeline as we took possession of our house that day. After waiting 45 minutes, we were finally able to get it to work on our phone. The parking lot at this location is a nightmare. Very minimal room, and our u haul truck was tucked into the back corner with employees vehicles boxing us in. We were left with very little gas and had to put some of our own gas in the vehicle to make it to and from our destination. This was my first time using u-haul, and I feel it will be my last. 1/10 experience.
Shane SWhen I booked the truck in the first place, I was very honest and said that yes I would be going to be going an hour out of town. The girl said that was fine and quoted me $130.00 dollars. I had the truck 4 hours. My bill was almost $200.00. I was charged for a full day not a half day. Also I was charged a fee for leaving the city limits. Which I stated I would be before I got the quote. I feel that I was deceived about the price that I was going to be charged. The staff on tje phone when I booked the vehicle were warm and friendly. The person who I dealt with in person was okay but didn't seem to be that good. I am sorry to say that I will have to think twice before booking another vehicle. The price quoted and the price payed were TOO far apart.
cathreine fThere was only 1 person working between the gas station and Uhaul side. While I get staffing is an issue, the worker was pretty short with all the customers. The Uhaul side was also pretty busy, with about 4 people coming to get Uhauls while we were picking ours up. As a 15ft truck starts differently than our SUV, it would have been nice to be able to ask and get shown. We've rented cars plenty of time before, and each time, there is a person that stays as we do the vehicle walkthrough so that any issues with the vehicle are noted, but this worker just left us. We also requested furniture pads with our order but the worker said they don't have any at this location. The website should have prompted us if there weren't any available. It took some convincing for the worker to remove the charge from the bill, otherwise, we would have been charged if we didn't check. This was a very poor experience from a customer's point of view and we don't recommend this at all unfortunately.
OGHENERIOBORORUE ALocation is convenient and staff are friendly. The truck we rented was clean and in good condition. It was ideal for our daughter’s move and we will definitely use this location and U-Haul again!
Gary MReserved and confirmed 15 ft truck and 12 blankets. When attended to pickup they only had 10 ft trucks and 6 blankets forcing me to make 2 trips instead of one with no compensation for extra mileage and gas

hao lI rented a 10’ cube van for 2 separate days, returning it in the afternoon. I traveled basically the same kilometres each time but the charges were quite different and the fuel to fill the tank varies quite a bit. I think the gas tank was not full when I started on one of the days. I’m not looking for any adjustment but I think the management of the trucks is lacking.
DALE SYou need to reprioritize which vehicles you rent out to who. I received a truck with no cruise control for a multi provincial move. It should have never been given to me. It should have been used for short range moves only.

JOhn MHalf of my name was printed incorrectly; they just needed to copy it from my driver's licence. I booked it for 8 days and U-Haul was calling me on the 5th day saying that it was supposed to be returned that morning at 9:00. They were told when booking it that it was going to be returned 3 provinces West of where I picked it up. The staff needs to pay more attention to their customers!
