My whole ordeal with Uhaul was a disaster and a half. Right from picking up the uhaul to dropping it off. The chat option kept freezing me out whenever I tried to use it, I got the run around repeatedly, sure I recieved "$100 off" which really wasn't any savings at all but with the stress that I endured it should have been half off or free. I spent endless HOURS on the phone with uhaul. Each person had a different answer, the name was changed on my booking so I could not do a dang thing when the name should not have been changed to begin with! Nothing but stress and a pain in the behind. I will never recommend uhaul to anyone nor will I ever use them ever again. I will tell everyone to RUN FROM UHAUL!!! THERES BETTER OPTIONS OUT THERE!!!

For them not to know that they had double booked or overbooked a truck and it seems to be something that should be easily solved these days. Now they went out of their way to help me which is why I gave them high marks. But I suspect it was a U-Haul issue not them
Kevin HI explicitly booked this uhaul over the phone with customer service and got all our information sorted out ahead of time. Starting with how long our trip was (5 days), and an extimated round trip KM of 700 KM from Edmonton to Calgary anf back to Edmonton. The service rep suggested the 9' cargo van so we rented it, got the extended rate, and confirmed booking. On top of that, me and my husband purchased Uhauls many times wih my husbands drivers liscence and me as the payee with no issues. Unfortunately this time, the location had a huge issue with ALL of this. First, the person at the pick up counter tried to deny us because our trip was too long even though we booked it for 5 days and up to 999km. Then he tried to deny our booking because the van shouldnt leave the city, despite the customer service rep over the phone never saying anything about that. After arguing and starting to call customer service, he backed down and started the pick up process. Then he tried to deny our booking because my husband was the driver, not myself. I dont have a drivers liscence, my Husband does, but he doesn't have a credit card, I do, so i pay, he drives. In every other situation where i have rented a UHaul, this has never been an issue. Ive rented 4 times with him as the driver in the past, and several times further with other friends as the drivers with no issue at all. Then, after further arguing he decided to say it was because he was American, and american liscences arent valid, which is completely untrue and has never been an issue for Uhaul in the past. Again, i begin to call Customer Service, and he backs down, starts going through the process. AND THEN he tried to deny our rental over the card i was using. On the booking, it explicitly said "please have a debit card with a major credit card lable, or a credit card available upon pickup". This is a business expidenture, so i initially try to use my business Mastercard Debit. He tries to deny payment until i show the booking terms, and then starts the process, and cancels my processing payment just as im trying to pay with my business card, forces me to use my personal credit card. He FINALLY issued us our vehicle, but the whole process was almost 45 minutes of arguing because he felt the need to profile and be angry for absolutely no reason. UHaul seriously needs to reconsider this location as a pickup and drop off location. The worker is extremely rude and extremely unprofessional and clearly does not understand your booking policies.

Berhane Stried to get me with a 500$ damage deposit charge but i rented a couple of weeks ago and they didint do it then, the engine light was on in which it made me nervous also they said the tank was full in which it was not, i had a good experience the first time but second time idk anymore , oh and the uhaul tape is no good either .

The fellow that was doing the transaction was very friendly, but he didn’t speak English all that well and it was hard to understand what he was doing to give us our final bill. He finally just said why don’t you just call and find out what your final bill is. I waited a few days and the final bill finally came in. I felt a bit apprehensive about the whole transaction. There was just other clientele that came into the establishment that I wasn’t very comfortable with as well. I don’t think this is a good drop off location.

I phoned the number and was told that they don’t work with uhaul anymore. I then had to phone uhaul and got transferred about 3 times waiting in total about 20 minutes to get a new address to drop the truck off.. please remove the wrong location!!!!

Jordan MSome trucks are very old, as I rent u haul regularly for my personal reasons, in most of the time i find vehicles that are too old, some are bumpy, not comfortable at all and they don't have some updated simple features which are important for long rides, for example, cruise control. I know this business is like monopoly, no other competition is in the market, but if something comes up, regular customers can be easily turned away.

Ahmed AI checked the trailer in on Aug 2 at 1100 am. The attendant told me all I had to do is drop it. I gave him the wiring harness and left. My receipt says I dropped it on Aug 3 and charged me an extra day. Can you fix that please?
Todd MThe guy was friendly and accommodating but none of the equipment I ordered was in the truck and they didn’t open for another 2 hours. We had nothing to help us. Once opened we were able to get the blankets and a dolly. However, they didn’t have all the equipment I ordered. Thankfully it was removed from my bill. Would have been nice to have all the equipment I ordered from the beginning though.

Krystyna SI asked for a trailer hitch with my rental and they sent me to the other end of edmontonto get the dolly. The licence plate was missing and the straps where freyed bad. I then had to waist more of my time to go find a candian tire so I could atleast haul the dolly. It's in a very shitty location and hard to get to and from there. The people of the store where nice tho.

Normally the gas tank suppose to be full but it was time consuming to fill up the tank as the line was indicated. Overall for the first time we did have so much difficulties to pick up and drop off the U-Haul and this wasn't for the first time we rent the U-Haul. The whole experience was terrible.
Shaheen II reserved a dolly, furniture dolly, and furniture pads. But there was no furniture dolly or pads when we picked up the vehicle. The service was poor and they treated my friend poorly. The website said $64 was payable at the time of pick up but they charged $170. My tv broke during the move because there was no furniture pad. Awful experience!!

I was told I was blocked because I owed money from a few years ago that I paid off and had a receipt and they were still telling me that I owed more money and wouldn't let me rent a truck until I give them some more money. They also tell my I couldn't pay without a credit card. I was told I can't use a debt card and that I would have to pay cash. They then told me if I use cash I need to make a deposit of $500 cash to rent a truck. After going through the hassle I get the cash later that night only to find out they cancelled my reservation leaving me to go around and find another u-haul with a truck. When I found one the guy said he doesn't take cash so I had to leave there and find another bank where I can put the cash back onto my debt card. They then tell me I could pay with debt card. So I wasted a whole day cause my original truck pickup time was 9:30am but never got one until 6:30 when I could of just paid the first guy with my debt card. Disgusting customer service with multiple persons from stores and help line giving different information like they all worked at separate companies. Worst customer experience I ever went through.

I'm leaving this comment online in any place I can find until you actually follow up with me And explain Friday a weekday is a weekend rate. John SI called ahead and was told there was a 10ft truck available. Arrived 20mins later and was told no I had to take a 15ft truck because the 10 was reserved for 3pm. I paid the additional cost. When I returned the truck at 4pm the 10ft truck was still sitting there. I do not believe it was ever reserved and I was just cornered into paying for a larger truck. The truck was dirty in the cab and in the back. I left it in better cleanliness than I found it. Safety wise the mirrors were not adjustable. They were either in or out but could not be properly angled.

I was charged extra fuel costs even though I returned it with more fuel then I was left with. Now I'm forced to dispute this to try and reclaim the money you have stolen from me for over charging me.
Adam GIt took an hour to get the vehicle after arriving at the pick up location through talking with multiple customer service agents on the phone and uhaul chat. I had even called ahead the week before to make sure everything was ready to go and they said it was all set. I would never recommend UHAUL or this location based on this interaction.

Hawwi Rour u haul wouldn't start- when it finally did we left. the battery was DEAD at our first location and wouldn't start again after loading the entire truck. We had to wait for roadside assistance and miss our move time at the other location. Finally it got boosted- then we got to the other location and it DIED AGAIN, on the street. We couldn't even turn it off after this point and had to dump all our stuff and leave. it was -20 outside, FREEZING cold, and I had no place to sleep that night because the whole event caused us to miss our moving time. I would never do that experience again.
