Truck was dirty and smelled like cigarettes. The location also didn’t close out my reservation properly.

Passenger side window had some black gooey substance on it which made it nearly inoperable and the rear-view mirror on passenger side was so loose, it was totally useless as it would not hold the location for rear-view use. We needed someone in passenger seat to check for safe lane change to the right, at all times

BLAINE FUm I returned the truck on completely full tank, yet this location STILL charged me $60 in gas. Likely they stole the gas and charged me for it. Very uncool.
CONNER MWhen I finally got the truck the gas gauge was on E - empty. The right side wide-angle mirror was shattered and half missing. The truck cab was dirty with food crumbs, some used tobacco product remnants and spilled drink on the console and floor. And we discovered while on the road that the driver’s side turn signal and brake light were not working. Never had this shoddy of an experience with U-haul before.
JEFFREY CService at the pick up place was great. Then the fact I know to me , I was stoped by a police officer because the right tail lite , break light was out. I believe I should be refunded my money for driving with no break light and be humiliated by a getting pulled over.

Totally unnecessary to rush someone out. I have come there many few times before to rent a truck. Will definitely be going somewhere else in the future

CHARLES FUpon receiving said truck the PSI was incorrect by 30% on both the left front and rear tire which could have caused me to get into an accident which definitely made the car swerve on my trip to Santa Clarita when I landed at my destination I had to put air in the tires the nozzle was not fitted for a gas stations air pump it was inconveniencing it was unfortunate our communicated it to the higher-ups they sent me to a supervisor of some sort the supervisor told me there was nothing they could do about that and offered me a $20 U-Haul gift card
TARRELL CI am being overcharged on several items after returning the truck. I drove it 14 miles (exactly what the receipt), the pictures I took of before and after of the fuel gauge don't even show the needle moving, yet I am being charged for 4 gallons of gas. There is no way that the truck gets 3.5 miles per gallon for you to charge me 4 gallons on 14 miles. Not even a truck with a fully loaded 40ft trailer gets 3.5 MPG, this is wrong. On top of that, they tacked on a "safe move" insurance coverage that I opted out of when I booked the truck.

Wendy TI was utterly overcharged. Claims gas was brought back lower than when checked out, which was incorrect. Charged for 4 gallons of gas for a 12 mile trip despite the fact that I put gas in before returning. Got rental 30 minutes late which delayed moved and all around disappointed

JESSE BI reserved a large dolly over a week in advance. When I arrived on the day of my move, they said they rented out their only one and that I’d have to drive to the main U-Haul store to pick one up instead. I drove there, stood in line for almost an hour before being told that they didn’t have any either and that all the large dolly’s at every U-Haul store would be reserved. So basically, I didn’t have the dolly I needed on the day of my move and drove around aimlessly trying to find one because of 4th street auto and tire

Stanley BI returned my vehicle with over a quarter more in gas than I was supposed to and the representative said he would try to reimburse me for it on the final bill but of course, nothing was discounted. It would of been better to say nothing instead of me expecting something.

Bart LHave counter staff document the mileage and gas in the tank as part of the checkout. Thankfully, I had taken a photo of the dashboard with a date and time stamp so used that at the time of return to confirm the number of miles driven and if I had returned with the 'correct' amount of gas. Paperwork indicated half a tank, reality was a quarter tank.
Rhonda RI had a good experience when I rented the truck and the guy at front counter was awesome. That changed when I returned the truck, then they misplaced the keys and sent me an email telling me I didn't return the truck. They also charged me for 25 miles being drove on the truck and I only drove 8 miles.
adam llocation is very poorly staffed, NOT professional at all, I had to wait when checking in and I had to walk around the shop to find the desk guy when it was time to return the truck and that took forever The guy did NOT come with me to the truck across the street to verify any mileage or gas so after reviewing my invoice it looks like i was overcharged for mileage. overall very dirty place not sure how they are in buisness still with the very very unprofessional customer service. I 100% wouldnt refer any friends or family to this location, As i do not plan on going back there i would rather go to the locaiton on PCH across the street from LBCC.

Anna BI specifically reserved a flatbed pickup truck, when I arrived at the shop Saturday at my scheduled time 12:30 pm they told me they extended the person's rental who currently had it and did not notify me, already off to a bad start. There was a regular moving truck which was unnecessary and probably ended up costing me more in gas mileage. Because this mistake in my requested vehicle another half hour was wasted at this point. The man at the counter told me because my return time would now be pushed to after hours due to the delay he told me no problem, you can return the truck in one of the spaces and return the keys to the lockbox. What he failed to tell me was that the entire auto shop lot and gates would be completely CLOSED before my return time, so when I pulled to return the vehicle there was no way of getting in. I managed to see a mechanic who was still in the lot after hours and had to argue with him for at least 15 minutes to convey that I was told to return the vehicle there, as well as my personal vehicle being parked in the lot as well. The mechanic was being somewhat abrasive and hands off about even letting me return the keys to the lockbox even though that is what I was instructed to do. I would give the experience 0 out of 5 stars if I could, and will ensure I warn as many people as I know in the area to stay away from this location.

Lisa SI had a good experience overall, with a great location and good customer service. However, I faced a problem when I needed to rent a Cargo Van. Upon arrival, the person at the front desk informed me that they did not have the specific car I had requested. The only option available was a 15´ truck, which was too big for my needs and above my budget. As a result, I ended up spending around $300, which was more than I had planned.

Laura TThe pickup truck was perfect! I had to bring a bike to San Diego as I sold it. Unfortunately my father’s 2017 GMC suffered a suffered a blown engine and we were down a car. As a result I rented a pickup truck from u-haul and couldn’t be happier with not only the truck, but the location I rented from as well. The people at 4th street auto were helpful, professional and friendly. The truck was smooth, quiet, and it was able to fit a huge fat tire ebike in the bed. The apple carplay was a pleasant surprise as well. Highly recommend the location and uhaul if you need a pickup truck or anything else for that matter.

Cedric D4th st tire and auto should stick with what they know. The vehicle I reserved was given away to another customer before my arrival. Rather then help me the representative at the shop wanted me to call 1800 U-Haul to deal with his breaking the established contract. He eventually called but handed it off to another employee. All the employees I felt with seemed like they would rather be doing something else. When I finished my move I did call u haul myself. Their professional customer service representative provided me with much better help and far less time than the mechanics and employees at the shop. I wouldn’t go back to this shop for anything.
