There was a younger black dude who really made my experience great. He helped me with a walk in rental and checked me back in. I was waiting in line and there was one rep who was taking his time with the 2 customers ahead of me. The man that checked me out asked a few questions and quickly got me situated. It took me less than 4 minutes to check out. Then when I wanted to return he also checked me out as well and I wanted to tip him, but he said not to worry about it. U-haul protect this man at all costs!

Brian LSomehow my U-Haul got switched from one way to intown. They didn’t go over the contract at all with us when signing and didn’t even show us it. If they had we would’ve told them no it needed to be one way because I was moving to a different city and so when dropping it off back home they tried charging me a $500 fee. They put it on hold while trying to figure it out but I’ve been calling the original pick up location and customer service for 3 days and no one has gotten back to me like they were supposed to. Worst customer service experience I’ve ever had
Sara BAt check in, it is clear we put pick up at 2 pm and need for 7 hours (until 9 pm). Check in was also in person. However, the staff didn't even bother to state that they close at 5 on Sundays. Moreover, the staff who closed up the shop didn't even bother to check that there were customers still scheduled to arrive. When my brother arrived at night, this location didn't leave any open space for him to park. They also barricaded all entrances with trucks. My brother kept circling around and waited for an hour before I contacted after hours and had to explain the situation for about 20 minutes more and then he was instructed to simply park next to one of the cars. My brother also saw another customer similarly circling around looking for a place to park. We were all so tired and it felt like a nightmare trying to return this vehicle at night. It was very inconsiderate and we would appreciate better logisitical communication both from the site (online reservation) and the location. It is our first time trying U-haul and this was a little traumatizing.

David RI reserved a truck with a ramp. I also reserved an appliance dolly. After waiting in line for 30 mins (!!), then doing all the registration work (that I had already done on line), we walk out to get in the truck only to be told that they were out of appliance dollies. He said they were “short on them.” He said it was a Trump tariff issue, and none were being made to send to stores. Seriously? I hate Trump more than most, but that’s not an excuse. If I can reserve something on-line, then it should be there when I go to pick it up. So, I turned in the keys and left. The whole reservation was to move a refrigerator. I can’t do that without an appliance dolly. Get it together!

TANIA LThe staff was really friendly and helpful. At first, I was pretty disappointed at pick up when the truck was almost at empty, and the staff at first weren’t very apologetic and said it should have enough to make it to the gas station. But when returning the truck, another staffer checked the system and saw the truck was registered in the system as initially being returned by the previous driver at zero. They gave me a gas credit for the trouble, which was really kind. Sounded like I wasn’t the only one who received a truck that was basically empty of fuel. I ran into another U-Haul user at that same closest gas station who was lamenting about getting a truck empty of gas.

Jeffrey JThe systems were down all morning, and some of the employees were very rude and unhelpful. We had appliance dollies in our reservation and were told when we completed checking in online (which we had to do because of the system and it took forever) that they did not have any dollies and there was nothing they could do. No one tried to resolve any of the issues with a lobby full of customers who are already stressed with moving in general. The experience was TERRIBLE!
LaTeanna WWait too long and workers at the register weren’t customer friendly. For a Sunday from start to finish should be enough workers to assist and more customer friendly.

The staff could not figure out how to get the trucks into the parking lot. Based on this experience, I would be hesitant to rent from U-Haul again

Marwin OOur pickup was scheduled days in advance at 8:00am. We arrived around 30 minutes after 8 and our truck was not ready. The lot was not set up correctly for self-guided pickups. The attendant just told us we’d have to wait. After an hour, we came back and the truck we had reserved was not there so the truck had to be changed. After the rental, we were charged for fuel and fuel service even though we gave it back with more gas than we had started with.

Diane HThe back of the truck had extremely strong odor of "raid" when we opened it. Very chemically and overwhelming like it was just bombed for roaches. Sure enough multiple times we had small roaches appear or fall down from where the door rolled up into. It was gross and very nerve racking. We had to throw away all our boxes immediately to make sure we did not transfer any kind of infestation. They should NEVER have rented a truck that had this smell or existing roach problem. I plan on contacting U-haul for a refund because it was just disgusting to have to worry about roaches infesting all your belongings.

Richard MIt was my first time using the mobile method to pick up the vehicle, so I followed the steps, took a selfie, and photos of the front and back of my CA driver's license, and reached a step that instructed me to go inside the building to get the keys. I approached the employee behind the counter to let him know I was using the mobile option and that the app was instructing me to get the keys. He asked for my truck number and seemed very annoyed about having to help me. He said he couldn't help me because I hadn't finished the process on the mobile yet. I told him I couldn't finish the mobile option because I didn't have the keys, and he hadn't given them to me. He said I needed to scan a QR code on his monitor and follow the steps. I told him I was doing it on my phone, so there was no need to start over. He said he couldn't help me then. I reluctantly scanned the QR code and had to start over from step one. I had to retake the selfie, photos of my ID, and enter my information just to get back to the step of the keys. At this point, he did something on his end and handed me the keys without saying anything. The whole purpose of the mobile option is to be easy and help the staff. I get it. In this case, the mobile option was pointless. At drop-off, there were two employees at the counter, and I purposely avoided the one from earlier in the day, but the second employee was just as bad. He made it clear he was annoyed that choose his counter. He couldn't even be bothered to take off his AirPods or stop watching the video he was watching on his personal phone as he spoke to me, or when he just got up, and he walked out. Mind you, he didn't even ask me to follow him, so I just followed him. He only took off his AirPods once he was onboard the truck, checked the gas gauge, and told me I was "good." I had to clarify whether anything else was needed, and he shook his head. The staff at this site made the experience very negative.
