I was sent to another location that was absolutely horrible and I was so upset I called the 800 number and they were right on it and sent me to another location. I was told it was the closest and yet it was very far away then with the help of customer service they sent me somewhere much closer to my home and we're open. I was not happy with the original location on Mission they were closed and only a paper sign hanging up that said do not leave the truck or trailer in the parking lot or I will be fined this post quite a problem for me since I moved into an apartment and there was no place for me to park them overnight I had to return them early. I should have been able to drop it off but this location on Mission does not accommodate that.
LINDA HThis is a shady location. The worker "P.K" refused to give us his business card AND our checkout sheet. I explained to him that me and my fiance have a 1 year old baby with us (all with video evidence by the way) and we would like to get our discharge papers and leave. He said he will not discharge us because we damaged his property, but there were no damages on the uhaul or his property. I told him to call the cops, show them the surveillance footage, go through the uhaul insurance ive purchased, and have them contact me, but give me my discharge papers so I could leave. The guy absolutely refused and kept us there for ONE HOUR. From 1pm- 2pm. we had to call uhaul management and get on the phone with them and explain to them that we gave this guy the keys, but he refuses to print out our discharge papers. My baby was in the hot sun FOR ONE HOUR because of the ignorance of this employee. Also his son/coworker was inspecting the vehicle and taking pictures, yet on video he said that he doesnt work there! This is the kind of shady people you have working with your company? When we got home he had told the uhaul claims that there were $500+ in damages to the vehicle and there was a long gouge on the truck. LUCKY FOR ME I took a video and pictures TIMESTAMPED as soon as i parked and sent it to the same claims. So now this location also commits INSURANCE FRAUD by FALSIFYING CLAIMS! Absolutely DISGUSTING ill NEVER use uhaul again because of that experience. I'll put my review on EVERY WEBSITE POSSIBLE. People need to be aware that this business is trying to mske extra money from their customers by FALSELY ACCUSING THEM! absolutely DISGUSTING customer service. ICE needs to get involved here because people are working off the books and committing fraud this place needs to go under INVESTIGATION ASAP!

DONALD BI booked my Uhaul rental and went into the Carlbad location. She told me that I put in that location as my preferred pickup but it wasnt guaranteed. She told me that the truck was in another location (no email communication told me this). I had to get back on the highway and drive further away from my storage and home for pickup. Very inconvenient. Also, the truck that I did get was clean and had a full tank, but the back was all damp and the guy had to wipe it down before I could drive away. This place is a car mechanic not a storage facility. Therefore, it was dirty and a lot of beat up cars around. Also, not in a good neighborhood.

Michael GThru no fault of theirs, my rental was not on hand. Having to take a 24’ truck instead of the 10’ I reserved messed up a number of my plans & ended up costing me 2X for gas then expected.
David NWe have a video of the inside of the cabin, gum on the seats, liquid dripping on the dash, the cupholders were disgusting, we couldn't even drive with the windows down it stunk so bad of cigarettes. We honestly want a refund .

MARK HTruck was dirty and the app wasn’t working for me to take pictures so I wasn’t sure exactly where the gas was and the employee made me pay an extra 11$ for gas. When I went to return the truck, the app still wasn’t working.

JOSE RThe vehicle need to be clean and the gas full no matter what. For some reason I put gas and was told that on my return it wasn't facturevoff and had to pay 11.00 gallons more. The problem is I know gas is cheaper, so why are you charging do much more?

DAVID PIt would be easier to refill the gas exactly if it started full. Expecting the customer to exactly hit 5/8 is unreasonable especially when the fuel gage only works when the key is on.

EDWARD GThe car trailer was missing the front chain. The two employees were discussing it and one said "it's optional." That's not right. Luckily, Ed Tomlinson at the Uhaul of Miramar noticed that it was missing and put it on before my long drive. Also, I was instructed to put the back cain on in a certain way and Mr. Tomlinson also noted that it was incorrect. So the Oceanside location must need some additional training on the car flatbed equipment.
SUSAN LP.K., the owner, was very helpful and assisted in the disconnect of the trailer and return of my adapter (for the lights).
GREGORY MHelpful after all our upset with truck! And what do you know air conditioning stopped working started to work again when we dropped it off. And yes we know how to turn it off and on because we had it on the whole time before we left Vegas. We tried turning it off and on waiting an hour trying again and nothing after awhile we quit trying. The window we let them know about the steering wheel. They stated they were happy we let them know everything wrong with the truck.

RODNEY UMore explanation of vehicle functions. Gas tank was not full and required to fill before starting trip. This was an inconvenience.
MARK SThe front suspension and alignment was messed up and all towing was very problematic with the front end shaking violently. Every time I went to use the brakes. This was not evident until we were driving and towing the car. I’m very disappointed given how much this vehicle cost to rent and it was not safe to drive.
Steven RI made a reservation and the woman charged us for stuff not on the reservation. What a con! Plus you have us a truck with a quarter of a tank and she said that there’d be a $20 credit She changed the drop off location too! The drop off guy charged us $29 for gas even though we added gas Then she did $16 for insurance we didn’t want Refund us $45 please

Whitley JEasy, efficient, truck seemed brand new. I was hesitant to do a mobile Checkin and drop off with potential for this user error but all was smooth in the end.
