Reggie J.About a mile from the pick up location the truck died at a stop light. Was able to get it started back up and back to the pick up location but running very rough acting like it was going to die again. We were able to trade it for a running truck no problem and said she would update to truck number in their system (we were dropping off at different location) after moving all day and dropping it back off the drop off location was not notified that we would be returning a different truck than what they had on file. They ended up figuring out what to do and we left. The next morning I'm received a call saying that we did not leave the keys to the truck and they needed to be returned….. they must have found them bc i never heard back. After all the issues we had everyone that we delt with was very nice and polite.

The gas gauge & odometer reading picture section of the app is absolute garbage. 45mins on hold later just to update and send a picture. I wouldve been better getting a horse drawn carriage than dealing with your app. Still wainting on my $50 refund for the reservation issue.

DEBRA A.I wish the uhaul website would clearly point out that the 10ft U-Haul does NOT include the typical loading ramp that comes standard on every other uhaul truck. This misunderstanding caused a lot of trouble for me when I had only allocated a single day for moving. Thankfully, the on-site staff were understanding and very helpful in getting my reservation quickly transferred over to a truck that had the ramp, which really impressed me.
Robert M.No one called the day before to let me know where I could pick up the trailer. Looking online showed that the pickup location was Shreveport 90 miles away from my location which was originally requested.

ROBIN S.The truck was fine. This location did not have any pads or appliance dolly as requested in my reservation. I wasted 2 hours of fuel, mileage, and time driving around Tyler to two other UHaul locations to find the pads and dolly before I could begin loading.

STEVE O.I had a tire with a sidewall blowout after I got home. It looked like the tire was falling apart. Possibly a closet inspection would have caught that. Also the left blankets and appliance dolly in the truck which I hadn't ordered. It was fine as far as I was concerned but it again made me think they weren't checking the tricks very closely.
Richard H.Test drive before renting and make sure the lights are all operable. The first van I was in had a hard pull to the right and a death wobble at 55 mph, the box van I wound up in had the check engine light on intermittently and a headlight out.

There was also ash from cigarettes or something in the inside driver door handle. I just wish it had been cleaner but I do appreciate the awesome customer service I received here!!!

Christopher W.Give the gate code so you can drop off the truck after hours inside and not hanging out in the driveway. Also the app would not upload the drop off photos so there was no way to drop off the vehicle without someone there.

Kyle C.The rental location, personnel, and truck were fine. However, a 10' truck rental priced at $200 for a single day is ludicrous. I don't remember it being this expensive in the past, not even close. If this is how you do business nowadays, I will make sure to look for alternatives, and tell everyone I know about these absurd prices.

KIRKLAND JEROME C.Although the posted hours for this location included Saturdays, and although I intentionally returned my truck during posted business hours, when I arrived, the office was closed, and the gate to the property was locked. Instructions posted on the property fence directed me to follow the online return process at UHaul.com. Unfortunately for me, the first step in the process requested access to my location during the rental return. Although I was standing in front of A American Self Storage in the rain, U Haul.com notified me that it could not determine my location, and so I could not proceed with the return process. I checked my phone settings and tried again, but with the same result. There was no online chat assistant option. Without personnel to help me, with technology failing me, with the return deadline approaching, and with many other time commitments encroaching, as I stood outside in the rain, I began to feel helpless anxiety about how to proceed. Finally, a friend came to my rescue by allowing me the use of her phone, however, in the future, I will be sure NOT to do business with A American Self Storage, and hope that UHaul.com will perfect it's online return systems.
