This truck is a death trap. The steering was so bad it took effort to keep it in lane. I could hear bearings whine as I man handled this piece of junk. Plus I got to pay $80 for 4 hours. As a corporate customer I believe I’m done with uhaul.

Tommy MI've rented a lot of UHaul trucks over the years and this was one of the worst. There is something wrong with the power steering and power brakes in this trust. When running at speed it was fine, but when slowing to make a turn into a driveway, the power steering would stop working. If my wife would have been driving the truck, she would not have been able to turn it. Also at slow speeds the brakes didn't seem to work quite right. It seemed like the issue was affecting both the brakes and the steering, but only driving 30 miles I was unable to determine any particular pattern. Unfortunately this aggravated a previous shoulder issue...it was that difficult to turn at times. I rented made a rental at this same location not too long ago and had to return the truck shortly after leaving because something wasn't right with the brakes and it made terrible noise. I don't know if this is an issue with the location or with UHaul, but I'm certainly losing confidence in the brand at this point.

Maya JExcellent transaction. Easy check-in and pickup. Attendant was very polite and helpful. I had diffuculties on a previous rental trying to do a self check-in online. The attendant helped walk me through check-in in 2 minutes!

Laurin RFirst of all the customer service line lied about that location not being able.to take a split payment so I had to get my sister's form of payment to finish the booking, then the trucks have a lot of maintenance problems-the first one check engine light was on and then the truck that was replacing for that was skipping like it needed a tune-up. Not to mention the replacement truck cab area was dirty like children been in it and had a party. Sadly but respectfully the only 2 good experiences that came from that location was convenience distance from my address and for the outstanding customer service of the staff. I like to note the lady that waited on me for both the checking in and out deserves a raise and an assistant to help with the handling of the equipment. She is the backbone of that place in keeping it afloat. Without her there, it would go out of business. But Uhaul need to do better in mechanically serving those trucks. Thank you
Taiwan MI was charged a $13 fee after the fact for I do not know what. i'm guessing gas, but I drove it 10 miles and put a gallon of gas back in it.

stephn rTake that truck out of service it’s a death trap. It barely runs, it’s can barely accelerate up hills, the lights are so dim at night we had to drive with high beams and could barely see. The floor was covered in some sticky something and it destroyed my couch. The cupholders were full of some sticky liquid and I didn’t look to see first and put my phone in it and got it on my phone. The seat belt is grimy and dirty and scratches your neck. It’s hard to figure out what gear it’s in. If you put it in reverse it will roll downhill I almost hit another vehicle of mine. All in all it was awful and not what I expect when I use uhaul.
Kate HI completed my order online to go to a Taylors location for 2:30 pickup. Had reservations confirmed went to location and u- haul had put me in the system at a Spartanburg location The sweet lady at Taylors location called and waited on hold forever until she got someone on the phone and corrected my reservation. The Taylors location didn't have a truck available in the size I needed so the reservation was made at A Perfect Storage. When I got there at 3:00 there was a sign that said will return at 3:45....by this time I am starting to get frustrated because I didn't make the mistake U- haul did. I did finally get the U- haul by 4:00 which was very frustrating. This is nothing against A Perfect Storage but all U- haul. I should have gotten some kind of reimbursement for my time. I was late getting to my destination because of U- haul. So Please know that our time is just as valuable as U- hauls time is!!

connie kLocation required us to take their insurance rather than using ours, despite my selection of no insurance when reserving the van online. Was told it was because it was a “new van” and therefore the franchise owner required the insurance.

Sean HThe lady at the desk was very nice and I much prefer the in person locations than the stupid self check in ones. However, the van was really dusty inside..like layers of dust on the dashboard. The low tire pressure light was on from the moment I turned on the engine. We had to stop and put air in the tire on numerous occasions. I was driving through the mountains really late at night and didn't feel super confident in the van. For $200+ rental, I think Uhaul could do better. I rent uhaul vans several times a year for my work and I need to be confident the equipment will get me to and from home..and this time, I didn't feel safe or feel like what I had to pay was worth it.

Dominique WDetails about the cost were unclear. Was suprised by very many charges by the end of it. The app doesn't do anything but serve as a place for the chat reps to tell you to use the website. The app doesnt pick up your location but 1 of 10 times. I could go on all day about how inconvenient the system is but on one side there are quick and easy parts of it, and on the other side there are things that will take you 2 hours to get anywhere. The equipment was clean and in good shape. Overall, I got done what I needed to.

Catherine PI feel like I may have been lied to by the person who rented the van. When I signed up I declined the insurance. When I arrived, I was told that it was required with vans and forced to pay for it. I found this suspicious and seemed fishy. I had no choice but to accept the extra charge. I will likely not rent from this location again.

John CCindy Tente is the manager at that location and she was simply the BEST!!! Even though it was a holiday weekend, she got me in and out quickly with exceptional customer service. Because of her conduct, I look forward to renting at her location very soon…we need more customer service reps like Cindy!!!
