I dealt with two employees, neither were very knowledgeable of the U-Haul system. One was a train wreck. I will not use this location for U-Haul again. Nor will I recommend it.Chad M.
Terrible pick up experience. I will never use a non U-Haul store location again. I get a lot of rentals from you this was very bad. Service man was rude. Made me feel bad for needing the trailer. It was heavy for him. Again not my faultDenise G.
This is by far the most horrible experience I have ever had with uhaul. I arrived and it took them 45 min because your system was old and outdated from what they told me. I askes about a dolly whick was told they have nothing there. Then I had to drive out back in the mud where the trailer was in a snow bank. I had to hook the trailer up myself only to get it hooked up and when I walk to.the back of the trailer to check the lights the trailer door is open. The entire inside of the trailer is soaked. I asked if they had some moving blankes so I could dry the trailer out only to be told they did noy have any. Told me try another location and maybe they could help. So I had to drive 20min in the opposite direction to another location. They were helpful and swapped me trailers. But this cost me so much time and money in gas it's unreal. I am very disappointed. After this experience I will look for another company in the future.Eric T.

The staff was incredibly helpful. We drove the uhaul trailer through a snowstorm which the trailer ended up being a frozen ice box. The trailer was stuck to our hitch and the managers of the location came out with boiling water to unfreeze it. They also hooked it up for us when we first picked up. Dropped off after hours. The truck was clean and the packing blankets were folded. I called the number on my reservation, and was advised to put all of the blankets in the cab and lock it up, which I did. A couple of days later, I noticed that they charged me $25.Christopher N.

I had paid cash when I rented the trailer and so I expected a cash refund when I dropped the trailer off here. They were friendly and efficient. I wasn't disappointed. I got my cash deposit returned promptly. The young lady in the office was friendly and efficient as was the young man in the back where I dropped the trailer off. Recommended.Douglas B.

It took two phone calls and an in-person visit to get them to finally check in the truck 48 hours after drop-off so I stopped getting notices about an overdue rental. The person in charge there was very rude and un helpful He would not let me drop the truck off at the location i wanted told me to pick one from these 4 locations i said i dont want want of them i needed a 24 hour drop off location would not look to see if one of them was He said pick one or i will pick one for you and he did was not a 24 hour drop off So when i left there i called u haul they were very friendly and helpful she changed my drop off over the phone Will use u haul again but never from 1101 elms rd flint michiganGregory H.

The business has a resident apartment that is connected to office. Both days while on property office was not open at posted times. I am so glad we got insurance as we were a assessed for a light pushed in on top of truck. Because office was not open when got there we put keys in truck to take picture of mileage and gas level. Well accidently shut door and locked keys inside. So then had to wait for lock smith to come $50 later had keys so we could check truck in. 2 hours later. The person that owna this business should know office smells like marijuana. Never return to this location to rent again will go back to Miller Rd even though Elms Rd was closer to Flushing.KAILEE V.

I reserved my U-Haul at a location in Bridgeport, Michigan, and was instead sent to Flint which was 30 miles out of my way (and extra miles in a U-Haul is not cheap). Additionally, they would not take a foreign driver's license even though it's A.) Valid in Michigan and B.) the driver had reserved and used a U-Haul with the foreign license on multiple previous occasions. We were lucky that the second person was also in need of the U-Haul and had a Michigan License, or else we would have driven 30 miles out of our way for nothing.ASHLEY K.
I was extremely frustrated with the pick up experience. The employee there for the most part did his job, but the trailer was not the right one and i had to buy a $20 adapter for the electrical / lighting to work on my vehicle. As i put in the type of vehicle i had when i made the reservation, there is no reason i should be surprised by a $20 adapter charge at pick up. Uhaul knew my vehicle make, model and year and found a way to sneak in a $20 extra charge at the end but providing a very old trailer that didn't have the right electrical plug for a newer vehicle. I expect a $20 credit back to my account for this as this is misleading and a bad business practice.MARK S.
Call box was broken, no answer when help line was called, and no instructions on how to unhook the trailer from my car after hours. I finally got ahold of someone on the local number & when asked for assistance/instructions on how to release trailer, I was told to "YouTube it".LINDSAY D.
Make sure information on locations are accurate on your website. When I went to the storage place it was closed. Per your website and email has different hours. Sizes of storage units are inaccurately described online as well. Suggest calling physical locations to confirm online reservations and hours next time.CARYN C.

When I arrived my appointment was for 10am and the place was still locked. I had to call to get the to open up so I could get my trailer that I paid for. Then one of the trailers ramps latch was broken so I had to tie it to the trailer before I left. After I gave the guy my deposit for the trailer to use when I return it back he was gone. So now I have to drive all the way back there to get my deposit back cause he wasn't there that day. No one checked my trailer in to say that it was OK which made me very uneasy cause someone could have just drove in and stole it and I would be liable.TRAVIS C.

Run down shack for one, and blatantly lied about return gas level for two. I put the gas into the truck 60 seconds before dropping the truck off, but they stated I hadnt. Called up customer service, and was refunded the amount, but its the principle of the matter. Thier integrity matches their facilities....shoddy and predictable.mark B.

I had reserved a 10 ft truck at a rate of 19.95 with this location. When I arrived, I was lied to by Derek several times in regard to my reservation. He told me I did not reserve with him but through the reservation line, I know for a fact I talked to him. I asked him if the phone number I had for his office was correct, he told me it was not. I then asked if it was not correct, why was his phone ringing. I had called while standing in front of him. He refused to give me the price I had been told because he did not have a 10ft truck. In my husbands line of work we rent trucks quite often. We usually avoid using Uhaul and opt for Penske or Ryder, when available. Unfortunately, this particular day and location they were not available. I am very unhappy about how this location does business.JOY S.

Please make the return criteria plain. I understood that the dollie needed to be return by close of business, not in exactly 48hrs, so we had to pay a late fee. This coupled with the Findlay office NOT having a dollie when the website allowed us to book a dollie from the Findlay site was very frustrating.MARIE G.

The mileage given to make the move was insufficient. I managed to go 10 miles over the mileage limit provided. My route was as straight from Pickup, Load-up, Unload, Fuel and Drop-off as possible, yet I was 10 miles over...Really, that was unacceptable.ROBERT D.

When I moved my equipment from this facilitys storage unit, the only occupants with me was my boyfriend who was helping me move. After I returned the truck, The complany charged me over $67 for cleaning fees for dog urine. Its hard for a dog to urinate when theres no dog to begin with. Im seriously thinking about calling my local newspaper. $67 is a lot of money. I believe that My total origional bill was so cheep that they wanted to pin something else on me to increase it. I requested blankets with my order. As we were preparing the trailer, the blankets were not in the gentleman's hand, so I reminded him. I assumed that they were in the trailer, but upon arriving at the location for the move, discovered they were not. I called the location several times but no one answered (nor at the call center). Later in the day I was able to get through to the call center but the gentleman that I spoke to there told me that he couldn't help me and that I would have to resolve the issue when I returned the trailer. When I returned the trailer, the gentleman at the location was perplexed as to why the call center didn't get in touch with him. Nevertheless, I was reimbursed on my bill for the cost of the blankets, but not being able to contact anyone at the location OR at the call center for the majority of the day was immensely frustrating.Andrew R.
