geraldine uThe only problem I had was that 2 hours into moving the check engine light came on in the U-Haul. We started noticing something leaking from under the truck. Couldn't figure out what it was. It didn't affect the way it drove, but it made me very nervous about driving it. Otherwise, we had no issues. The location was easy to find, the staff was great, and my reservation was ready to go when I arrived. Overall, a good experience and would recommend.

MISTY HNeeded to get customer service involved because I went to pick up the truck before scheduled and then needed to change billing at turn-in. Things I could have fixed myself, if I had poked around the app/website enough. Truck was ready and setup for off hour pick-up.

Katherine FJim, at the desk, always takes good care of me. This time, he went out on the lot to check the rented truck because I had left it there in the middle of the rental period to run a different errand with my own van but thought I had left the key in the truck cab. That is service.

Brian WI booked an in person pickup. When I got there, the office was closed and under construction. I tried checking in online and the process was not intuitive and cumbersome. The customer service was horrible at this location. It took longer for us to get the UHaul than it did for us to load it with the condo we were moving. It was a horrendous experience that we have communicated to our friends and family.

SUSAN HWhen we picked it up everything appeared ok. When we got out of Indianapolis the right turn signal did not work. It wasn't the bulb, the whole inside was gone. Made it to Coraville Iowa and called a haul. The man came out and said both tires had the steel belts showing. He said we were very lucky we did not have a blow out in both tires. He said it should of been caught at the place we picked it up from.
STEAVEN LI filed a claim and have yet to hear from anyone. I had to drive over 60 miles out of my way due to my original rental not being made available. I want those miles credited to account and funds refunded to me. I had to drive both a personal vehicle and the uhaul truck those additional miles. My phone # is 937.416.1192 Jodi Snider

Michael SHad trouble with the location feature. My phone was sharing, but there is a location feature in the app which also has to be set and I am guessing that was the culprit. (Seems be impacted every time an app update is sent out.) Luckily, Jim was in early and had us checked out and on the road before the store's normal opening time. No matter how smart computers get, there is still nothing like a skilled, helpful person.

Mike PHad a very difficult time trying to use the mobile app to check in. Not friendly user. It finally took a real person that worked there to be able to get me on. That gentleman was patient and very helpful.
Deborah HThe shop opens at 9 a.m. If you need your vehicle earlier, U-Haul promotes their phone APP. DON'T USE IT! It sucks and if you look you'll see other reviews that say the same. It made me 2.5 hours late getting out. However, if you do want to get an early start, just go to their U-Haul.com website. You can do the mobile thing from there, too, and it worked fine. And my return check-in was in person and was super smooth. The folks at A to Z are friendly and will show you how to use the APP and/or the website. Would rent from here again.
Sharon SThe cargo van was extremely dirty and they have triple charged me on my bill. This is unacceptable for any customer to experience.
Jason HWas not open during their business hours. I unloaded my truck at got there to drop it off at 4:30 and they were closed. Even their business sign said open till 5. I wanted to make sure everything was fine, but instead I just dropped off the keys in the overnight box and hoped for the best.
Kevin PCounter service is great. Even Jim was having trouble with the software. Glad I was working with a person. U-Haul definitely needs to upgrade its IT development. The equipment (trucks) is always well maintained. Check-in and check-out are the most difficult bit of renting from U-Haul. Even the customer service reps at the central office are well trained and professional. We all have a common enemy - the software.

Randall DLately I have had a couple issues when I realized U-Haul was charging for two days when the truck was returned later than the original estimate, but within 24 hours. While I can appreciate the company trying to keep track of the fleet by the hour, the advertised rental fee is "per day." The company software billing program automatically charges additional fees with the policy that it is up to the customer to challenge the local office. This looks like a class action suit coming for false billing.

DESIREE MEverything went good at the pick up location, however the man at the drop off location in Fairborn was awful & extremely rude. He actually forced me to find a different drop off location and told me “I don’t care what you do with it but you’re not parking it here for drop off find somewhere else” despite that being the correct drop off location listed in both my paper & the app! he would not help me find another location to drop it off either. Very rude, and very unprofessional!! Because of that I may never rent a uhaul again!
James NThe system was updated but was not letting them checkout my rental. They relentlessly tried multiple times and made numerous calls to folks who also were not able to help. I want to say thank you to them for their patience and persistence and when we felt it was a lost cause he tried one more time and it worked. Would suggest updates to the system not happen during the work day and do it when offices are closed so it doesn’t create problems for equipment pick up. We spent over 90 minutes to make this work.
