Although the rental office was in a smaller space than I expected, the rental was easy to process. Even though I wouldn't be returning the trailer until after the office closing time, it was pointed out to me that the office didn't need to be opened for me to return the trailer. They also pointed out I could return the trailer back to the spot I connected to my truck from. Easy-peasy.

1. The office reeked of cigarette smoke. While the clerks weren't smoking in my presence, it was clear that one or both of the two guys had been smoking. Not pleasant...and not acceptable in the year 2025. It's not that I'm against them smoking. Rather, they should just do it outside the office building. 2. The two guys were quick to issue the truck, but they did not go out and help me with the truck and they also vectored me to the wrong truck ("It's the first 20-footer in the row" when in fact it was the third). 3. The truck only had 3/8 of a tank of fuel. I understand this is U-Haul policy, but my strong preference is that I receive a full tank (which is how I would expect to return it). Instead, it was up to me to guess how much fuel to put in. For fear of being charged, I ended up returning it with 1/2 of a tank, which effectively gave U-Haul 6 - 9 free gallons (an $18 - $27 dollar kick-back). While I get no credit for returning the truck with more gas than I started with, U-Haul would have charged me had I brought the truck back with less than 3/8 of a tank. Why is it so hard to fill the tank?! 4. The truck was new and clean, and it ran perfectly. I was 100% happy with the quality of the truck!

JOHN HThe mileage out on the vehicle was incorrect and if I had not taken a photo of the odometer prior to leaving the lot, I would have been charged an extra $25. The error was corrected with me, however from the out processing paperwork I received, the mileage in number that was written down was incorrect so that there’s still a discrepancy between what the computer states the current mileage on the truck is and what the truck odometer shows. If the next person who rents this truck isn’t astute to check the paperwork and truck upon their rental, they will be charged extra.

geraldine uThe only problem I had was that 2 hours into moving the check engine light came on in the U-Haul. We started noticing something leaking from under the truck. Couldn't figure out what it was. It didn't affect the way it drove, but it made me very nervous about driving it. Otherwise, we had no issues. The location was easy to find, the staff was great, and my reservation was ready to go when I arrived. Overall, a good experience and would recommend.

MISTY HNeeded to get customer service involved because I went to pick up the truck before scheduled and then needed to change billing at turn-in. Things I could have fixed myself, if I had poked around the app/website enough. Truck was ready and setup for off hour pick-up.

Brian WI booked an in person pickup. When I got there, the office was closed and under construction. I tried checking in online and the process was not intuitive and cumbersome. The customer service was horrible at this location. It took longer for us to get the UHaul than it did for us to load it with the condo we were moving. It was a horrendous experience that we have communicated to our friends and family.

SUSAN HWhen we picked it up everything appeared ok. When we got out of Indianapolis the right turn signal did not work. It wasn't the bulb, the whole inside was gone. Made it to Coraville Iowa and called a haul. The man came out and said both tires had the steel belts showing. He said we were very lucky we did not have a blow out in both tires. He said it should of been caught at the place we picked it up from.
STEAVEN LI filed a claim and have yet to hear from anyone. I had to drive over 60 miles out of my way due to my original rental not being made available. Michael SHad trouble with the location feature. My phone was sharing, but there is a location feature in the app which also has to be set and I am guessing that was the culprit. (Seems be impacted every time an app update is sent out.) Luckily, Jim was in early and had us checked out and on the road before the store's normal opening time. No matter how smart computers get, there is still nothing like a skilled, helpful person.

Deborah HThe shop opens at 9 a.m. If you need your vehicle earlier, U-Haul promotes their phone APP. DON'T USE IT! It sucks and if you look you'll see other reviews that say the same. It made me 2.5 hours late getting out. However, if you do want to get an early start, just go to their U-Haul.com website. You can do the mobile thing from there, too, and it worked fine. And my return check-in was in person and was super smooth. The folks at A to Z are friendly and will show you how to use the APP and/or the website. Would rent from here again.
