I was sent to this location due to the fact my original location for pickup did not have the truck I requested and then I was sent here. Upon arriving I was unable to open lock box for the key to the truck. I was then sent to a 3rd location to obtain a truck. And then charged a fee that was incorrect. Terrible, horrible. I have used u-Haul for several years but will contact Penske next time. I'm still waiting for my $50.00 refund to my credit card. Have a clearer explanation of where to drop the keys off. Possibly add a drop off box that’s vibrant and clear to see for U-Haul customers.

Nicole HThe location itself was less the issue than the overall level of service from u-haul. I was called literally 20 minutes before renting the truck to be informed the location where I had rented the truck didn't have the truck. I was on the way to the rental so this doesn't fill me with much confidence in the u-haul network. The truck was fine, the check in process took a long time and my credit card was swiped no less than 4 times before it was accepted (?) The original location was open on Saturdays when I returned the truck so the new location was not. On Monday, while in a business meeting I get a call from u-haul wondering when I was going to return the truck that I had actually returned on Saturday. Good service? Not so much. I'll explore other rental companies in the future.
David MTruck seemed to have some sort of mechanical issue (maybe transmission?), but it drove fine enough and was clean and as expected. Pick up place may not have been aware. Issue was sort of subtle.

MARCELLA FThere was no one at the desk to greet us. We were kept waiting for at least 30 minutes and even though we had checked in online there seemed to be some reason that all of our information had to be reverified. The site could have been much cleaner as well. Also after we had the truck we received a text that if we didn't pick up the truck it would be released. What is up with that?
linda sThis fella said gas gauge was NOT where it needed to be however I took a photo of it and it reads the same as I took it out! So I drive a mile south to a gas station and put well over the amount needed, just shy of 3/4 tank, and when I returned it he marks my gas amount on my receipt as 9/16 ...So why did he not mark it 3/4??? A return that should have taken me 10 minutes took me over an hour! I need to rent a truck again to move the rest of my belongings however, Uhaul , I doubt , will be considered! I called customer service and was suppose to talk to a supervisor however, a young lady came on , took a message and sent me on my way! I can't remember a time when I have been more frustrated with a service as this time!!!
DEBBI BWe were scheduled to pick-up our truck at 8:00 AM. The shop was supposed to open at 8:00 AM. It did not open until 8:25 AM, and we did not get out of there until 8:45 AM. This put us behind schedule, because we had to make it to Indianapolis by a certain time. It cut it very close.

JAMES CThe location was not the one we requested, but the rep said it wasn't a choice so we went with it. It was 12 miles from us as opposed to 2 miles but we made due.

CHARLES Hguy was real nice but had to wait for him to take care of car service clients. He apologized continuously about the very very very slow computer. Did not get vehicle back to Vermilion in time to load before sundown - messed up our plans but he could not help most of the wait.
judy sI reserved a 26' truck, 12 moving blankets, and an appliance dolly. When I went to pick-up these items the dolly wasn't at the rental location and the clerck indicated that "he didn't see it on the order". The clerck had computer issues and after stating he didn't see the dolly on the order, he mumbled under his breath "there it is" and the appologized for not identifying the dolly reservation. Anyway, I had to then drive to another U-haul retailer to rent the appliance dolly. I was under moving time constraints with help that I'd gathered and this blunder delayed my move.
Lawrence GIt is an old mechanic shop, so it is bound yo be a little dirty but the people there knew exactly what they were doing, they went over everything with me, they took care of my car when I left it and they were very courteous. Kudos to them
