The truck was not clean... the location I selected wasn't available, the app was broken and did not allow me to pick up the truck via the app, and there was no one at the location to switch to in person pick for the reservation either. App was very glitchy and took a very long time to check in because it kept freezing!Lara A.

Needs better signage to inform a customer what to do when picking up on off-hours (i.e. the weekends) seemed to cause confusion for myself and another customer at the same time. When you get there on the weekend you have to either call U-Haul or use the website to get a key code from a lock box. The mobile app requires way too many details and pictures and due to very poor cell reception service at the location it frequently timed out forcing me to start over, this extra steps ate into approximately 20 minutes of my 4 hr rental time period. Would suggest calling the U-Haul number next time as it was faster for the other customer.Brian L.

When I arrived the facility was closed. I had no idea I signed up for self serve. . It was advertised as $19:99. When I dropped off the van I was charged a $20 â€˜convenience' fee. All in all, for 2 hours I was charged $90. The steering wheel was sticky. I'm not at all happy with U-Haul!!Sara C.
Truck had clearly x-marked labeled damages on it. Had great difficulty accessing online check in procedures. No one available at office to assist. Once we phone called for help, we were passed to 3 different people. Hour late for scheduled move. Then the battery was dead and had to get jumper cables from our car to charge truck. A Murphy's Law move, but it's now done!! I've used uhaul in the past with no issues.David F.

I didn't receive the furniture pads and dolly, but I believe that this was probably due to the fact the truck I was suppose to receive was going to be late, and UHaul had to find another truck. You may need to update the system so that customers are not charged for accessories that are not able to be included in an updated order. thanks!Stephen R.

I am very upset because the reservation I had made prior, was changed at the last minute because the equipment was not available at my chosen location. It messed up all of my plans. I am very disappointed.Brittany T.
It took nearly an hour to check me out because U-Haul's online reservation system kept crashing. I was not provided a contract at the time of pickup (because U-Haul's system was not able to print one). The pick up location was fine and the man who was trying to help me was very accommodating also. This is not a reflection on the pick up location, U-Haul dropped the ball. When I finally received and reviewed my contract via email it was incorrect and it took me several hours on the phone to get it resolved. Each person I talked to told me I had to call someone else. finally reached out to U-Haul on Twitter and they were able to help me. I have been renting from U-Haul for years, and I've never had problems like this. You lost me as a customer.James V.
Cell reception was not good. It took me two hours to get my rental. I had to call the UHaul number for help because I could not get the email with the key info. It sounds like there were some issues with U-Haul corporate on the technology side. I had moved the reservation on the website and it showed up as 2 reservations to them. It had also added insurance I didn't request and lost the drop off location. I had to call in and supply it later. Aside from technical issues, the pickup location was great and the staff were friendly/helpful.Ilia P.

Nothing, Experience was perfect. Special kudos to Jeff at that location. Not kidding, it was the best service I've had with any rental experience. Despite it being close to closing time, he let me know he'd wait for me, made me feel at ease. He had everything set up, made paperwork easy, set up my new tow hitch, talked to me through the trailer features, did a safety check, and chatted socially just enough to make it a great human connection. Trailer worked perfectly for picking up an old motorcycle with my son, I had a back the next day. Thanks for everything!Gary C.

My original reservation was at Charlie's Tire in Bellingham, Ma, 2 miles from my house. The reservation got messed up and after over an hour and a Great Uhaul Rep on the phone, I had to get a van 13 miles away from my house. (Added an extra 26 miles to my cost plus a hour of aggravation). The floor of the van I got was dirty, but it's winter here and they did not expect it to be going out, so I'll give them a break on that. I did appreciate the effort to get me a van by your dealer at 182 Pond St. Ashland, MA . The van was almost new and drove and ran well. Most of the rental process could have been done prior to picking up the vehicle, though. Also there needs to be instructions on how to open the lock boxes. The area was not well lit and I was already stressed. I would try the service again to see if it has been improved.John G.
