I rented a truck from 1 location a week before I needed the truck. I got a call on Thursday before telling me the original location didn't have a truck and I had to go to another location to pick up the truck I requested. Sat at 8am when I got to the Hiler's Body shop to pick up my truck, the open sign was on but no one was there. They did not leave keys in the lock boxes that they had on the building and I could not pick up the truck that was sitting there for me. I could not get ahold of anyone that worked there to get the keys. So the U-haul people on the phone sent me to a completely different place up the road. The lady there was super sweet but they ended up giving me a much bigger truck and charging me way more than the original truck should have costed. I should have picked up my truck at 8am but I didn't get a truck until 10am. Uhaul wasted 2 hours of my time, not only did it rush our move but we lost the cool early hours to work in, and charged me more money. Between scheduling and coordinating with the locations and the locations that you use, it's a big fail. At least the nice people at the A1 Food Mart had their stuff together, and sounds like they are the only ones in that whole area that know what they are doing. I'll rent a Penske in Lexington and just drive it all the way out there next time. My time is more valuable than the cost of a truck, and Uhaul is exceptionally good at wasting my time.
