The whole experience was a very bad experience. I have rented from U-Haul before w/ good results, but I doubt I ever will again. The local WA U-Haul had to go through a Seattle office and "the right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing". Couldn't be guaranteed I would get the size of truck I needed so I went to a size larger which was totally unacceptable; trying to get someone on the phone at the E-burg p/u site was impossible, even for the Seattle office. The only place I could get a hold of consistently was the service center in Kittitas,Wa who I originally wanted to acquire the equipment from, and I couldn't get both pieces of equipment from the same place. What a bunch of yayhoos! Stressful for a situation that is already stressful. Never again! Advertised hours were 0900-1799. Gate was locked and nobody around at 930. Eventually a man with no uniform or other identification told me to leave the trailer on the street by the gate. My invoice came to my email later in the day w/o any issues. Would be nice if they put a sign near the key drop box on what to do when dropping things off when no one is around.

I Clint figure out how much gas to put in and the fuel gauge takes a long time to register so I ended up putting in more fuel than I needed to. Super annoying. I want my extra fuel money back.

U-Haul allowed me to schedule drop off here. When arrived, person told me I. Ouldnt because they over booked. Wanted me to drive 30 miles away. Had to call customer service to get fixed. Just a headache.

I don't think the side lights worked when headlights were on. I never checked them just the turn signal and brake but I did end up driving a couple hours in the dark and was concerned.

The drop off was very confusing

Staff was unhelpful. Refused to help me once I started mobile check in, which took 40 minutes to complete. Despite a mask mandate, staff was unmasked in the office. I was not informed that my car would be locked in the lot at 4:30. I was stuck overnight overnight at a motel 2 hours away from home with a 3 year old. So my $50 van rental cost me >$200 for a motel and cab plus missing an extra day of work. There were no signs posted. Uhaul Chat was very unhelpful. I have lots of pictures confirming there were no signs warning that my car would be locked up. I have had some bad Uhaul experiences but this was the worst.

I reserved a truck and called the office 6x and left a message each time asking for a return call. Never received a callback. Finally, went to the website to change my reservation and when I got to uhaul I was told my 1230 reservation couldn't be honored bc the truck wouldn't be back until 3:30. There were 3 other trucks on the lot and I was told there were not any trucks available and I could try and call the “Sears location”. Not even a suggestion of how they could help me. I had to ask about the other trucks and she said they were all reserved. I asked about what time they were being used. One wasn't even going to be picked up until 4:30. I told her I could have it back by that time. So luckily I was able to move my stuff but not bc of any customer service on their part. The place was dirty, staff unhelpful and without any customer service skills. It was horribly disappointing.

The original location we were assigned to drop off in Ellensburg told us to go to another location because they were full. We went to AAA Wildcat Storage and had to spend 25 minutes on hold so customer service could approve a different drop off site and avoid a penalty fee. It took convincing of the employee at the storage unit with Uhaul customer service to finally allow us to move drop off locations. A: we should not have been assigned a drop off location that was full B: we shouldn't have to spend 25 minutes on hold with customer service when it is asked to return the truck during business hours yet a longer wait time would have put us past closing time. C: customer service should more easily allow a change to drop off locations especially if the customer was instructed to go to this new location AND the new location was willing to accept a truck. Customer service was trying to make us drive another 25-30 minutes to a different drop off location which would have been outside of business hours and cost more in exceeding the allotted mileage.

On-line and phone order system did not find a needed trailer for this date. Went to AA Wildcat Storage on the day before and they had what I needed. It was reserve for the day after my need so AA Wildcat did a contract for a day use the day I needed. Worked out perfect, I got my move done and the trailer was back that night, for the reservation the next day.

Totally underwhelmed by the customer service. Left two voice messages, neither one of which was responded to. Desk staff not very friendly or helpful. Tedious to have to reserve on line when you are in immediate need of a vehicle.

The reason I would recommend going there is because its close. What really burns me is we brought the truck back three days early and i don't get ANY money back?!? I even “accidentally” filled the damn gas tank! Because of the pick up issue with no confirmation until 48 hours before and no money back for not using it the extra days I would not recommend Uhaul in general

Check engine light was on. The only way to avoid extra charge for gas is to put in more gas than I used with a vehicle that has a check engine light on and is getting sub optimal fuel mileage.

I rented a truck that was much bigger and more expensive than I needed because I had to have a ramp to move one heavy item. I got to The rental lot and there was a smaller, 10 foot truck that had a ramp. I would've rented that one had it been available on the website but the website listed that only the 17 foot truck had a ramp. So I spent over $20 more for a truck size that I didn't need. An employee actually told me that the smaller truck did not have a ramp yet I could see that it clearly did. I'm a little confused as to why this option wasn't available.

Make sure that they know the location will be closed and no one will be there to help them collect their equipment if they show up on certain days. Also make sure the owners know that their customers do not appreciate it when they neglect to add in certain equipment that was already paid for. Also give heads up in advance that a customers location has been changed so preparations can be made.

The location is hard to find, hard to turn around and parking is very limited on a Sunday. I had to restart the check in process 4 different times as the Uhaul App would not work correctly.

Truck and back were clean. However, in driving it, I noticed a constant noise similar to a bearing that was drying out. I left a message for the local office. Also, this location was not in the U-Haul app. Neither location in Ellensburg, WA are in the app. So, deleting the app as it is useless in my town.
