If the pick up process would be smooth because I have to go to work. So that’s why I put all the information in advance on u haul website. I hope you work on the process of pick up.

KEVIN EDespite customary expectations, I found it inappropriate to cover fuel consumption that occurred before the rental agreement began, under the pretext of engine warm-up. This was especially unreasonable given the claim that the engine ran longer solely due to my unfortunate delay.
KELBER ZIt was a Sunday - no personnel to speak with. Drop off using the app went smoothly. The only thing that was disappointing was drop off location wasn’t our choice. There’s a location much closer to our rural home property which we requested and told we could use (40 mins drive). We received a message telling us to drop off at a different location- no discussion or choice (1 hour drive).

KATHLEEN CAbsolutely will get stuck with the a little bit of snow. The tires had ZERO grip. The tires are not suitable for winter driving and honestly very dangerous to send someone out with it. It was a huge safety hazard.

CIMINO EThe woman was incredibly rude and impolite. I hated that experience would never use U-Haul if that was going to be the service. The trailer was rickety and old. It also made a ton of noise and it made me nervous the whole time. Must have been like 30 year old garbage.

Jose RUpon hooking up to the trailer I found the lighting to be out on the driver side. I moved forward and back to ensure a good ground connection. I hooked up to another trailer to check if it might be my plug in connection, the next trailer worked fine. The counter person told a friend in the store I was stupid and hooked up to the wrong trailer number. She told me I had hook back up to the original trailer in a rude tone. She changed the wiring plug but it still didn't work. Then told me she didn't have any other trailer but did resolve to give me a working one, being quite rude the entire time. I am a Class 1 truck driver.
Tom SI started the process of reserving a 6X12 trailer a month ago. I stopped by the Hart U-Haul/Tax Services site because it`s close to where we live. The lady there said was a waste of time to try to reserve that far in advance and U-Haul in most cases doesn`t have enough equipment to service their customers. She said to cancel and she would make a reservation during the week before I required the trailer and further to that if I saw the trailer I wanted at her site to grab early because there probably wouldn`t be one on the day I required it. I found this a little bit strange but I drive by everyday so kept watching. Friday I stopped and asked the probability of getting the trailer and she said she had no idea. I stopped at the U-Haul/Car Wash facility and asked about reserving. The owner was away but I talked with the fellow in charge and he said he had 5 of them coming in on July 2nd. I said that`s perfect. Can I reserve one and he said, " I don`t know that until I check them in. Then he said just phone 1-800-UHaul. So, I came home and called the 1-800 number and was greeted by a very accommodating fellow from Florida. He booked a trailer for me. I replied to the email that I was sent verifying that I would take the trailer but at the end it showed a van not a truck. I called back and talked to another fellow and said no the reserve was in place and I didn`t have to do anything else and I would be getting a phone call the day before to verify my booking. A very gracious sounding lake called 2 days before and then another one the day before. Both ladies were very pleasant and I asked the question to make sure. Did I only had one unit reserved and she said "yes". I received the email showing me the place and time for pickup. I showed up to the U- Haul/A&D site shortly before 9. My reservation was for 9:15. I saw a vehicle pull up and open to the gate to the back yard. I followed in with my pickup and backed up to the only 6X12 trailer on the lot. I shut off my pickup and a lady was walking through the lot, (the owner, Ana Daniels) and she asked me what I was doing. I said this is probably the trailer I`m supposed to be picking up. She asked, rather rudely if I had reserved one. I said yes. She said, we're not even open yet and you'll have to wait. I said, no problem and went around to the front door and waited to be let in. At exactly 9 o'clock she turned on the open sign and unlocked the door and then walked away. The whole procedure was unsettling. Her demeanor was terrible and I really wished there was another business in town to deal with. Anyway, I eventually hooked up to the trailer, with her help, checked all the lights etc. and drove away. We are moving and I needed the trailer to haul some household goods to a storage facility. I told the lady at the storage place my experience with U-Haul and suggested maybe they could also become a pickup and delivery facility. She said they just don`t have enough room or she would consider it. In summation. The people at the end of the phone on the 1-800 number were great. The people that you have to come in direct contact with are terrible. I have to rent another the trailer in the last 2 weeks of August. I now know to just call U-Haul direct and hope I don`t have to pick up from the 3 facilities I had dealings with. I believe there are 2 other options. I think if I had dealt with the owner at the car wash I would have had a more satisfactory outcome. I`ve had dealings with him before and he's decent to deal with.
Jack TWell I rented a u haul to move and I had a baby boy the next day and I received a phn call from a very rude lady telling me I need to bring a u haul back I'm like my son is bring born I'm in the hospital and the last like omg I want this truck back now the unprofessional phn call was ignorance and rude I will never recommend this spot nor her business but uhaul it's self I will always use u guys just never this location again when someone is in the hospital waiting for there son to be Born you think I'm gonna unpack my truck to have u satisfied you should learn to talk to your customers with respect this is a small community and we all need to be here for one and another
chris cI didn’t know that the u haul trailer needed to have a 4 prong flat light hook up adapter. The lady at the counter said that I needed to go to Princess Auto to buy an adapter. It would have been nice to know this ahead of time or offer a rental service for these types of trailer light adapters.
Byron KPlease check maintenance on the trucks as the unit I rented produced a front end shake at 60 kph.
Colin DI wasn’t gone over anything with pick up. When I returned I didn’t know I had to fuel and asked about it and she said “I’ll go check” came back and all she said was “do you want a printed or emailed receipt” and was charged $48 WITHOUT BEING TOLD I was being charged for fuel for only 11 kms!! If I knew I was going to be charged this ridiculous amount I would have taken the U-Haul and fuelled it around the corner
Breanna HThe customer service itself. Not friendly at all. Felt like we were an inconvenience. Also the place was late opening when we were to pick up the truck and when we returned the truck at noon it was closed. There was no sign stating they close for lunch. Won't rent from this location again.
kevin pThe original location 4293 Prince George Fuel Inc was terrible. First we waited an hour as a truck was blocking it for which they had no key only to find the wiring in such bad shape that the lights didn't work so we had to be sent to another location. A dispute has been filed.
Gerald VShowed up to get uhaul and was told they did not have the proper uhaul for me. Was very disappointed. Was told by uhaul rep on phone I would be receiving a discount for the mistake and I never did
Lauren FI wanted to skip the insurance like I requested online and for some reason it added it on. That is my only complaint this time.

adrian rReserved a truck several days prior, for pickup at at 10am. Arrived at 1130am and was asked to move my day as there was too much snow, then came back later and had to rent an inclosed trailer instead. Ended up having to do several extra trips and extending my rental rather than being able to do it all in one day instead. Costly and the customer service was less than helpful.

Sinothabo HSomeone at this location missread the milage, and now uhaul is now charging me for 400$ extra for milage i never made! Check your odometers before driving off with the truck, could have been an honest mistake but uhaul just wants your money, even a dispute didn't settle this, but i'm not paying for milage i didnt drive due to human error.

Grant CThere were summer tires on this truck, which causes problems in winter time with ice on the road. Is it policy that tires do not get swapped out on U-Haul vehicles in the winter time? Is that legal? I wouldn't think so.

Shiana PWe were meant to pick up our 26’ truck in Port Mcneill but was told the day before that one wasn’t available. Luckily my husband was in Campbell river and he could pick one up. Disappointed (to say the least) that we had to pay for extra mileage for the extra 200km from Campbell river to port mcneill as well as the extra mileage from Mackenzie to PG because there’s no drop off in Mackenzie. Very disappointed with the extra $400 charge because of this.
Katelyn HSome of the trailer lights were burnt out when we got it. I didn’t realize until I was home. The pickup place “verified” the lights when I operated from vehicle. Should have double checked myself I guess.
Zoe BCab needed cleaning inside but the lady at the desk was very efficient, helpful and friendly. If I ever need another rental I will go there.
William LI booked a 26 foot and read the whole we promise u will get the size u ordered guaranteed. Well I was moved around three times and got a 20 foot. Not much of a guarantee. The place I did end up getting the rental from was great to deal with from pickup to drop off.
CRAIG PWe dropped the trailer off outside of normal business hours (on Sunday). It was not clear where the trailer should be dropped. We left it in the most level ground place up against the locked fence for their compound. I chose N/A for the location because we did not enter the place of business. The location was average because of there not being a specific drop off lot area.
