Operator gave 10 minute notice of her need to delay my pick up by 1 hour. When I arrived she was an additional 15 minutes late, store front was closed and voicemailbox was full. While already providing bad customer service, she took a phone call and began discussing a problem related to her other business with a customer on the phone. Difficulty on pickup. Had to call customer service, transferred twice with about 20 min wait time. This could have been avoided if there were directions to indicate you may need to add "0" to license number to bring to 7 digits.Alethia B.
I don't know that my issues were the site's fault but I struggled to use the app, it never let me do things like upload the odometer reading or the status pictures of the vehicle. Then UHaul's entire system (app, website, and phone lines) were all down the day I tried to return the vehicle preventing me from again uploading any odometer readings. I was overcharged by 30 miles on my rental due to this with no recourse and not worth complaining about. I also chose a location closer to my home 2 weeks ahead of time for a Saturday 8AM pickup and my pickup location was changed to one further away but I wasn't updated until 530PM the evening before leaving me no choice but to accept the new location since they were already closed for the day even if I had concerns I wanted them to address. It also took an entire business day to get my receipt and the vehicle checked back in which again seems to be Uhaul system issue not the actual pickup location's fault. Also the vehicle had a warning message and error light on it the entire time I had it that I feel should have been addressed. When I called at the pickup time they said "it should be fine". Not comforting when you are about to drive several hundred miles round trip with a bunch of your belongings.Robert G.
Pick-up process was confusing and complicated by the fact the person who handles rentals had left for the day. The van needed to be backed out of a somewhat narrow space through a blind entrance onto a busy road. Vehicle was mostly clean, but it appears a bare-minimum wipe down is all that happens between uses (not reassuring for covid). Upon return, a truck was blocking the parking spot and I felt very uncomfortable standing outside at this place at night.Merrie G.

I asked 3 times for a one way delivery to a Chadds Ford, PA location. Each time the paperwork was emailed to me it was incorrect. Not only that, there was no drop off place in Chadds Ford! I had to drive to Kennett Square and they said I needed to take the truck back to Wilmington. I had arranged for another car to follow me so that wasn't going to happen. Uhaul decided to double bill me after no mention that a one way would be more expensive. Originally I was quoted 19.95 for the day and 99 cents a mile ( why I wanted a one way rental ). In the end after logging 38 miles and having the truck for 8 hours, I was charged 101.37!!! The original paperwork said 78.07 even though the drop off information was incorrect. Plus, that had the 19.95 daily charge twice on the estimate. I dealt with the same person each time at this pick up location. She was one of the owners. The truck was perfect in most respects, but the cab had a horrible odor that smelled like intense cgarette smoke, smelly feet, and air "freshener." That was kind of hard to tolerate during a seven hour drive to our destination. However, the truck was good in every other respect, and our check out process was very fast and smooth.Janet S.

Key was not in the box for early pick up, location had no idea I was coming or had my contract information. Since we could not pick up at 7:30am like we wanted we returned at 8am when the shop location was to open and no one came until 9am. (I even had to call to get someone there even at that time!) wasted 1 1/2 hours trying to get into the vanEllen H.

This location was not open during their posted business hours so I was unable to complete the close out paperwork in person.
