Very bad location! It was right at closing when we returned the truck. We had to turn around because the lighting and signage (especially for the turn in) was very bad to nonexistent. Then, after telling them about our wet items, we are told there is a hole in the roof!Carl W.
Make sure there is enough gas at least a half tank for the move!!! When I got there I had a 1/4 tank and moving from San Carlos to poway. So I called for more time but I still got charged for miles to fill your own truck up with gas, secondly had to wait around for them to pull left over items from the back of the truck, I made reservations a week prior and your telling me know one had the common sence to check and make sure the truck was ready to go. I asked the employee if he could put gas in it and he just said no. Not only would I not recommend I will never use again!!!Josh H.

Employees very helpful. Truck always has some inconvenient mechanical issue. But would still recommend. Make sure you have a valid credit card or it makes renting difficult. They say they take cash and debit cards but my valid debit never worked there. Had to pay cash.Kathy Ann Grotz K.

I was overcharged $44. I called earlier in the day to keep it out longer. I was told if it was after hours there was a different turn in method. But at no point was I told I would be charged an extra day for after hours turn in.Michael W.

Because of what we are renting the uhaul for getting a truck with 1/4 of a tank made it so we had to stop and gas up before loading band stuff to got to a competition. All trucks should be required to have at least 1/2 a tank of gas before pickup.Joshua B.

This is a vehicle reposition business. The employees treat the u-Haul customers like criminals. The employee lied to me about not permitting me to use the 24/7 service, yelled at me on the phone, and hung up on me. DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION,STEVEN W.

Getting into and out of the site was a little difficult, if you are dropping off. There isn't a large enough area to park if there is more than one person dropping off at the same time. Having an advertisement truck parked off to the side in the only other potential area to squeeze in, doesn't help. Unless the owner knows there isn't enough room.Jimmie M.

The engine cowling inside the truck does not go flush with the floor. My foot, several times, was caught between the gas pedal and under the cowling. Potential is there for a serious problem. Cruise Control would have made my journey from San Diego to Elizabeth (close to Denver) less tiresome on my leg(s).James P.

Be aware of locations and addresses that are similar when making reservations for customers. I was wanting to rent from 7465 Mission Gorge Rd. Because my storage unit is right across the street. My reservation confirmation that was emailed to me said that my pickup location was in fact 7465 Mission Gorge Rd. But when I got there the employee had no idea who I was and had no reservation for me. No van either. I had to call the 800 number to get it straightened out. They had it in their computer that my reservation was 7145 not 7465. Luckily it was very close and ironing it out was fairly quick and easy.Jeanetta T.

I truly don't know what to say since I just spoke with Monte and am VERY upset about virtually everything from start to finish. The reservation was made yesterday for 2:45 at the location nearest my home in San Diego, yet I was sent a text confirmation for Fargo North Dakota for 5pm???? I called the local office today and spoke with a woman who seemed nice enough but when we arrived and met her and Monte my impression of both of them was not positive, especially when Monte offered the insurance and then said he did not have to tell us what it covered or how it worked???? He was also not at all clear about the after-hours return which turned into a two hour disaster this evening. Due to holding on so long for your customer service (which never answered) my phone was almost dead by the time I received a call from my driver saying Monte had called and was waiting for me to bring the key. When I arrived no one was there and finally reached Monte he claimed someone should be there???? We made numerous repeated attempts to contact someone to figure out what to do with the keys since Monte/your system/your signage failed to indicate that we needed to put them into the third of three boxes???? As I just told Monte, I'm 67 and have a head injury so everything is a bit of a struggle. My two friends and I felt his response to my very reasonable question about the insurance was inappropriate, at best and we all felt he should have been much more clear about the return process and what to do with the keys (which I just told him . . . to which he replied that he thought he told us . . . 3 of us will attest that he NEVER told us to use the third box). Then being told to return the vehicle at 1/4 even though we were going out with substantially less BUT that we would receive a fuel credit, made absolutely no sense. We ended up driving under 30 miles but had to put in 5 gallons. I sincerely doubt that vehicle only gets 5-6 miles to the gallon so I'll anticipate a substantial fuel credit on my final charges. As a senior who is not at all tech savvy, I would never have been able to do your check-in process without the help of my 25 year old driver and as a senior I hope I will not be forced to undertake formal action against your company to ensure that the charges are proper and that I'm reimbursed at least $20 for the fuel. Hoping someone who genuinely cares about all I've gone through might care to call me at 202-251-1002.Seth H.

Not to do your transactions outside..To have your vehicles clean. To keep your vehicles maintain safe for customers. Took a picture and also called in about the emergency brake hanging broke. Vehicle almost got me in an accident on the way out. It jumped into neutral when I had it in drive. This happened a couple of times why I was using the vehicle. Thank God it happened at the end of me using the vehicle. Thought at first it wasn't happening. My helper witness it too why we were driving,at a stop.🥺 Very scary adventure while using this vehicle.Called in about the vehicle and made a complaint to at the 1-800 number.Called a couple of times, finally got service after holding for almost an hour. Customer service needs to respond faster just in case there is an emergency situation.Not happy or satisfied with this rental. Awesome couldn't download the pics that was taking for me to return the vehicle. Kept on telling me that there was an error with the process. Had to get help from a gentleman that was leaving work from the facility. He had his supervisor Mr Oscar on the phone he told me to call the 1-800 number. Easy pick up. Looks like a tow yard, but they were prompt and pull up the uhaul to you. Booked it online, chose the spot, drove to the location, called them up, and the uhaul rep came out to check in and pulled the truck up. Took 5 minutes, in and out.Edward G.
