I had a reservation to pickup a truck at 11am. Due to traffic I arrived at 11:10 and was met with a gruff â€œyour lateâ€ from the agent behind the desk. He stated that I was lucky because they close at 11. The web site says their hours are from 8-4pm.. This location is severely handicapped when it comes to customer service. No one was in the office at 2:10 when I returned the truck. I still have not seen a refund either for the miles not driven in the estimate but was charged for. This office does not give a care about their customers and I would not do business with them or recommend them.ZANE B.

The representative was very nice and helpful. The trailer was a bit worn, not all of the lights worked and when I got it home and started loading it, the passengers side rear tire was almost. flat. I put air in it and it contained only 10 lbs with a recommended pressure of 65 lbs. I filled it and checked the other 3 tires. One was at 65 lbs, one at 45lbs, and one at 40 lbs. There was apparently no one checking the trailer tires or lights. I would expect something better from Uhaul. I would point out that the trailer handled well (with proper tire pressure) and outside of the expected weight sensation, the trailer design is excellent and stable, exceeding my expectation of handling, even with a full load and traveling on winding mountain roads as well as the Interstate. When i renter our 20' truck we were informed that it wasn't it the specified location, that we would have to drive 2hrs one way to get it. We I arrived for the truck, the location owner was an hour late, i had movers at my house at $90/hr waiting for the truck. You, meaning corp, did not do a thing for me, yet you saw fit to call me 11 times hassling me over not having â€œthe customer who was waitingâ€ trucks back. Also, the owner of the diamond springs facility charged me $180 because i â€œwasn't niceâ€ to her, i am going to post my u abridged experience with u-haul and you're franchises on all social media and dispute the change with my CC company. Also, I will NEVER, do business with you againCHRISTINA W.
Some guy that seemed to work there was out front while I was approaching the front of the building. He starred at me for about a minute straight (like he was some kind of though guy) and asked me what I wanted is a very rude tone and no smile. He should be fired for the worst customer service I have experienced. Unless someone reaches out to be to figure out who the employee was than I will not be using uhaul in the future.COLIN V.
No masks were worn by employee or customers during COVID-19. Bathroom was "not open to the public" including me as a customer. Very disappointing. My first rental experience at this location was excellent. Andrew was very helpful and efficient. The pick up and return was easy and fast compared to other Uhaul locations my son and I have rented from. I will definitely refer my friends and family to rent from this location. Early check-in did not work. The online App kept telling me I had to check in when it opened and I already set up early check in two days prior but it did not show up in the system. I called U Haul and was on hold forever and then it put me into the voicemail system. You guys need to clean up your customer service end. While I would rate my experience with Access Storage as an A+, I have to tell you the rest of the story. I originally had reserved a truck for the same morning in the town of Coloma. When I got there they had no truck. I showed them my confirmation text, and they saw my reservation in their system, so they 100% agreed with me but said it doesn't matter because "we have no truck." Extremely frustrating. Luckily I was able to get the truck at Access Storage later in the day.Michael S.

The trailer was not washed on the outside so I noted that when I picked it up. I didn't consider it a problem. Inside was fine. The average rating was due to the worn condition of the facility, again not a problem, and the not particularly friendly demeanor of the person who assisted me. She took care of the transaction. This location is in an area where a lot of the population takes Covid mask wearing as a personal affront and I was wearing a mask. I got the impression she thought poorly of me, but I hope I'm wrong.Gerald W.

The young man at customer service was friendly enough, but he must have assumed I had experience renting and driving a huge Uhaul truck. Because after he rung me up he simply said you're all set. So I asked, â€œ Is there anything I should know?â€ â€œLike whatâ€, he asked. (Hmm) Then he said he'll show me which truck. I noticed the windshield was dirty. He pointed out the clearance and said it was marked on the side. I asked if I could see the back and he kindly complied. By my asking, I learned 2 important facts. One escapes me but at the writing of this review, but If you don't make sure the latch catches in the hook when opened, then it could get stuck in the roll up at top which means the door cannot be pulled back down. I believe the other was regarding the ramp and it's latch. If the center latch isn't up the ramp could drag. Something else that was not mentioned to me. I was not informed that I would immediately receive an email with photos of the truck's condition, and only have a limited time to respond with photos showing otherwise. I saw the email too late, but all in all, it wasn't necessary to prove any discrepancy. Other notable tips I'd like to share: The truck seemed fairly new. That was great. There is no cruise control The seat is comfortable Any licensed driver can help drive The cab is irritatingly noisy. For instance, it's hard to hear the radio on the freeway. The gas tank is large so you get pretty far before needing a refill. Plus, it was easy enough pulling up to a truck station to get fuel. There's a large blind spot, so be aware before changing lanes. The air conditioning worked nicely. I scrubbed off the front of the cab, but the return location clerk said that wasn't necessary. The gal at my return location was great. But the place was a bit tricky to find. So I'm not sure how to rate the location. But it was clean, she was friendly and right there to help, so that earns a high rating.SHARON S.
