Ann NI usually have a great experience with uhal, this company WAS always my go to. But this was the worst and I mean the worst experience I ever had and money spent wasted. I took a lift to the uhal that was close to my home. Ready with the reservation on my phone even with the picture for the PICKUP truck. The white guy behind the counter to busy laughing it up with his coworkers informed me that there was no pickup truck in the system for me. Then he told me that the one in their system was the small pull down door one. Showing him the reservation didn't matter. He showed me the small pull down door truck and the cargo van. I asked about the pickup truck bed size and he didn't even know about the product. Telling me that they don't even 8ft bed size. Even though the picture showed it on my reservation. He nonchalantly offered to see if another location had one. All the while saying "it hard to find a pickup truck." THATS WHY I PUT IN MY RESERVATION TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE. No luck in finding a pickup truck on a Friday (DA) 🤬. He found a cargo van, and I settled for that. Had to take another lift to that location. Ken and his associate was very nice and patient with me even though the system was charging me $89.00 a day and added in 100 miles before I even got in the cargo van 🤨. I never was charged that much for a $19.95 rental. Ken was confused as well he never seen anything this crazy before, he called uhal customer service line twice and then the (regional manager) i guest. No answer so he left a detailed message. I was very confused and disappointed with uhal. Ken left a detailed message on the paper work for his coworker letting him know it shouldn't be $89.00 a day when I came to return the cargo van. I was not happy being charged $114.00 for a 24 hour rental and the times on the contract was all wrong. I WILL TELL ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN NOT TO USE YOUR COMPANY. I could have rented a suv at enterprise or avis for that price and had a better experience. Butter luck finding someone else to screw over.

CEF II rented a van and got there 10 minutes before my appointment time, the service counter guy said the van won’t be here in time. I really only needed a van and I asked about the warranty for not having truck in time and he said he had no idea and that I needed to call uhaul corporate. He wouldn’t and couldn’t help me. So not only did I have to use a huge truck for 5 bags and some small items, the gas it cost was much more as well. I use haul every time, I’m considering other services due to the inability to keep the warranty guarantee. I’m very unhappy and extremely disappointed. I never got a call from uhaul concerning why my vehicle was switched either.

CEF IWhile the vehicle was clear of dirt, it had a horrible cigarette smell. Not just a lingering smoke, but it smelled of an ashtray. There is a no smoking sticker on the vehicle window.I don’t had to ride with the windows open the entire time I rented the vehicle. Unacceptable.
Thomas TUhail needs to do a better job when the system is down with informing vendors. I waited for 30 minutes for the system to be back online. The rep was very nice and could only do so much. Next time for the inconvenience, a discount should be applied

CEF IThe people working at this location are exceptionally rude. Not just run of the mill rude— but really rude. Didn’t speak to me at all unless I asked a direct question. Literally just put his hand out for the key. No words. Not even a hello. Moving is stressful enough without being treated like you’re interrupting someone else’s day by having the audacity to use a service you paid for. This happened at pick up and at drop off.

Roy LThe gentlemen who were there Friday night at pick up and the gentlemen who were there Saturday upon return of truck were terrible rude and disrespectful not sure why I did all my stuff online and had to redo it upon arrival and they tried to sell me insurance for 30 dollars when I already had the plan for 16 then said they did us a favor seriously

Roy LU-Haul should ask for required documents and “references” at the time of reservation, not during check in. It’s absolutely idiotic for you to expect me to give you a reference’s telephone number out of the blue for you to call them at pickup time. I don’t know who U-Haul thinks they are, but nobody does business like that. The location itself and the agents there were great. My complaints is with whatever bonehead at U-Haul corporate put these dumb practices into place. If you were my employee I would fire you and blackball you from the industry for being a bonehead and anti-consumer.

Eric ZI wasn’t happy with being charged for $23 for 5 gal of fuel when I only put 11 miles on the truck and the gas mileage for the vehicle is approximately 12 mpg which meant the needle didn’t move from the point it was when I picked it up

CATHY TSuper nice staff. Tire pressure was low, but truck does not say which tire, do I did not try to inflate. Doors look closed but did not indicate locked until I opened and closed each door. It would be nice if truck provided which door is not fully closed. Otherwise. No other problems. Van gets good mileage.
