Was able to get echeck in to work. Drove from rental pick up, to location to destination to return location 199 miles. St. Robert, to Waynesville to Chester via StL.

Few issues with truck but other wise good
WILBUR HEverything. It was by far the worst experience with Uhaul I’ve ever had, and that’s saying a lot after the last 2 times we rented from uhaul in the last 3-4 months.

Katherine FThe truck I rented needs some maintenance. It pulls to the left and the steering is not tight. It has 80,000+ miles on it so this is to be expected. Other wise the truck was fine.
Craig DMirrors needed to be adjusted but it takes an allen wrench to loosen them. Easily adjustable mirrors would be helpful and make driving a lot safer.
KENNETH WI was contacted two days before my rental that was a 5 1/2 drive to the pick up location that It was not available and there was a truck available another hour away. When I called Customer Service the young man that spoke to me told me there is a reason they don’t rent to 18 year old and since I was old enough to rent I should have read the contract. When I asked him why I got a notice the day before I was leaving to drive down and not sooner he corrected me saying it is two days before your rental. When I asked what else they could do Because this wasn’t going to work he said he could cancel my reservation if I liked. He was rude, cocky and insulting. I have rented from U-Haul for over 8 years moving kids to college and back. My wife uses U-Haul for business on a monthly basis. I have never had an experience like this and will choose to go elsewhere rather than be insulted from someone who doesn’t understand customer service.

Vincent RI was told by uhaul that they would give credit for mileage due to having to pick up the truck at another location. I called the day of twice. The first person said she would look into giving me a refund and get back to me, she never got back to me. I called later that evening to see about the refund and they had no record of it, she said she would call ace and see what they could do. When returning the guy said "he was not eating the cost"
Lauren FEnsure the locations are fully supplied with moving blankets and dollys. My pickup location only had 6 blankets and no furniture or general dollys. The only thing they had available was an appliance dolly that I didn’t need.
Jeffrey MSomeone that tells u the right place to drop off I asked about him changing drop off location and he beginning of the screen and then didn't do it and the truck was missing and shifting messed up the entire time I had it

Craig DMake sure the trucks maintenance is up to date. When I went to leave the lot I noticed the alignment was way off which made the driving of the truck very hard. Also there was a service notification to update the traction control which did not allow me to use cruise control.
Kyle SNot charge someone some extra fuel charge ...I put gas in it exactly where it was when I got it.... That gauge in the truck is tiny so I I know it wasn't exactly on 1/4 ...let alone no one can look and tell exactly where it is at And even if it was under...definitely was not 30 bucks worth of gas under

Gerald MReturned truck with almost 3/4 tank of gas instead of the 1/4 that was required wish uhaul gave a credit for this since gas is so pricey the truck got better gas milage then I thought Also please give a shout out to the regions ma.ager Joe Smothers he went above and beyond getting me truck to my requested location
Jared CReturn location was wrong. The ratchet handles on the dolly straps were so corroded that they wouldn't move. I had to spray wd40 on them or the dolly wheel straps could not be tightened
RICHARD MNB Fuel doubled booked their uhaul which meant I got transferred to Chester. Uhaul gave a 50 dollar credit but that barley covered the mileage there and back from Chester to red bud. It didn’t account from my own wear and tear in my personal vehicle plus gas. I got screwed in the deal in my opinion but I needed it done asap.

John AAce Hardware personnel was great. They were super nice and friendly. My complete issue is the computer. I had to wait for 1.5 hours to get my rental. This is ridiculous. The manager had to call three people to be able to rent it out. I am starting to get discouraged with uhaul and the ability to get my rental. Also I tried to reserve days prior but the option for auto transport was not there. This is crazy.
JASON OI was charged $14 for insurance, that I specifically said I did not want, when i left with the truck it had a 1/4 tank of fuel. I returned the truck 15 minutes before the store's closing time, the next day, I explained to customer service rep. I was below the estimated mileage approx. 20......I had a hold on my credit card $1.29 per mile, with 20 miles below the estimate, I was expecting approx. $25 lower charge to my card....Because it was close to closing time, the sales rep said he would charge my card the next day and that he would check the mileage and charge my card accordingly. My estimate for the truck rental was for approx. $130, with the lower miles i was expecting a charge of approx. $100-$105.... When my receipt was emailed to me the next day, the sales rep credited me for the miles, but incorrectly claimed the truck was returned with an 1/8 tank of fuel, then charged my card and additional $30 over the estimate. This is simply not true.... There is no way to prove this, because i did not take a picture of the fuel gauge, but a $50 dollar charge for fuel will not be forgotten. This is the reason for the below average rating.

Timothy MDue to GPS, the address was hard to find. Apparently, there are three different addresses for this place. I suggest not using the 950 Chester Center address, this will take one to the opposite side of chester.

David SThe store wasn't the issue, it was the serious lack of communication between 1-800-uhaul,and my closest location! There was a uhaul the day of and many days prior just sitting in my town not getting used, however i was told I had to drive 20 extra miles to not only pick it up, but 20 miles drop it back off!!!! At .89 cents a mile for an across town move It wouldn't have been an issue, but with an extra 40 miles of just drive time to pick it up that does add up quite a bit! So I called my home town uhaul agent the day of our move to see if I could rent their uhaul truck and without surprise the same uhaul that was sitting dormant in the parking lot the days before was available. However I didn't have my debit card with me so i had to call back, and within 15 mins it had mysteriously booked? I paid your company quite alot of unnecessary money and I will not be using your company ever again.

kathy wI definitely don’t like the fact that I had to drive a nearly three hour round trip just to bring the Uhaul van to where we needed to load the thing. The shortage on vans in the STL area needs to be addressed by the company as we were definitely not the only people affected by this issue. Keith the general manager at the Uhaul in Dutchtown STL was an amazing help, as well as Landon in STL (I am unsure of his position); if it weren’t for those two we wouldn’t have gotten a truck at all. However, the person I talked to on the phone for Uhaul STL Traffic was fairly rude and very unhelpful in their passive and careless way of giving me the bad news about the lack of trucks in my immediate area. The actual pick up location in Chester was overall not terrible nor amazing, again nearly an hour and a half from where we were moving from. The people at Ace were friendly though and the Uhaul itself was overall well maintained, however the dolly we received was damaged on the back brackets causing loud banging noises on dolly trips. Overall a very stressful and challenging experience, leaving me unsure if we’ll ever come to Uhaul again for moving needs.

DONNA EI turned the keys into the drop box and expected to pay for two extra days. I was finally charged for four days, four days later. Why not check the drop box quicker than that? And not anger the customer........

Diane RThe U-Haul in Chester, IL at Ace Hardware is a new location for service and the personnel there directed me to their manager for service. Although new, she seemed to know well enough how to follow all the directions given online.
Justin MThis was a 3rd party facilitated location and was supposed to be a contactless pick up. They were unprepared. I had to go into the store and waited for quite sometime to be assisted. The dolly and blankets were not ready and caused me to wait longer. Additionally, the store manager was not wearing the state mandated mask.
