The truck seemed to be in poor condition- did not shift well, was very jerky, did not accelerate well and got horrible gas mileage. However, the pick up was convenient and easy, and the man was very helpful.Rachael R.

The reservation inputted into the system did not represent my requested reservation and pricing was incorrect. The representative corrected it without a problem and quickly. The website lists locations of equipment. After booking the location it changed. Maybe keep the equipment location updated so that you can select where you can pick it up instead of changing after. I will say the location that I picked up the truck was exceptional.Mark B.

I have rented a lot of trucks in my life, and this wad BY FAR the best experience and the best truck I've ever had. The customer service was outstanding! I arrived to pick up my truck before the store opened, by 30 minutes, but the gentleman who worked that morning was already there and let us get the truck. He was super friendly and very courteous. I came in needing a truck at that moment, as I was moving items into a storage unit down the road and the moving company truck couldn't fit into the space they needed to access. The gentleman working, whose name I did not catch, was so nice and understanding of my last minute request. Didn't really have issues necessarily with the pickup location â€” nobody was there for us to get our keys, but once we figured out the app, we were fine. However, calling customer service was next to useless. The first person I had (didn't get her name) was helpful with information and getting us transferred to someone who could answer our questions; but it was Margaret who could learn how to provide adequate customer service. As SOON as my call was redirected and put on hold (again), Margaret picked up and in the rudest tone said â€œUHAUL, CAN YOU PLEASE HOLDâ€ and then immediately put me on hold before I could answer. When she finally got back to us, it was nothing but a bad attitude. There was music playing loudly in the background, and she seemed agitated when I couldn't understand her because of it. She insisted that I use the app and provided literally ZERO help beyond repeating â€œwell you need to use the app.â€ My career is in over the phone IT customer support. Simply telling someone â€œwell you need to use the appâ€ vs. â€œI'll help walk you through the processâ€ shows a huge lack in skills, actual customer service abilities, and just generally positive customer interaction. By the end of the call, I told her I'd like to file a complaint with corporate, and she responded with â€œWhy?â€ As if the service she was providing should be good enough. When I asked her if there was another available truck in the area, she wasn't making any efforts to look or assist, and continued to repeat â€œjust use the app.â€ (AGAIN, with no actual assistance.) I've used Uhaul for a few moves now, and I have NEVER gotten such a run around, lackluster service, or the level of customer service difficulty employees like Margaret provide. That being said, I don't plan on using Uhaul ever again, and will make sure any friends, coworkers, and associates know the (lack thereof) service I've received. Again â€” I had no issues with the location, or the folks who we picked the truck up from. My woes are specifically with Uhaul's lack of quality customer service, and especially Margaret. Have a wonderful weekend, and thank you for the final reminder on why I will avoid patronizing this company going forward.Benjamin W.
The truck stalled in the road twice in critical situations. Luckily, it didn't cause any accidents. Since, the truck has an automatic transmission I didn't cause either stall.Michael U.

I was asked to drop off the tow dolley, which I did and was placed on hold for almost an hour. The first representative asked me to hold, which I did, and then found myself waiting to speak ON-SITE, while I was dead tired after a long trip. That wasn't cool. The other thing is that no one was there when I dropped off the truck, though it was not yet 2. I was also told I would be charged $20, although I had been asked by a representative to drop off the key, which I did before it was 2 (1:45).ADIL B.
We used this location because of the excellent and professional customer service and treated as "HUMAN BEINGS" vs. at 1001 Greenbank Road, DE. The man at the counter covered his face with both his hands and turned away to the wall with his back to us and "SHOUTED LOUDLY OH GOSH" Especially during this time when the country is facing racism, etc. Uhaul has to revamp it's Diversity and Inclusion policy or conduct training classes for its associates so that they treat their customers as HUMAN BEINGS. Starbucks conducted a series of training for all its associates. What about UHAUL??????Samuel T.

Excellent service. I completed all pre-registrations, and I was hooked up and rolling within 15 minutes. Office is clean, staff wore masks, and social distancing guidelines were followed. Excellent overall experience. May 23, 2020.Stephen G.
Brand new van w/o issues. However, we took time to ensure the rental company we used was taking steps to clean their trucks in between users. We talked to several U-Haul reps and we visit the COVID U-Haul page. We had planned on doings second cleaning anyway but to find spilled coffee and chips on the floor, we did not get the feeling the van had been through at all. The rep at the local site had his face mask down below his nose. I think everyone should be able to manage their risk they way they feel, but we chose U-Haul because we thought they had set the bar a little higher. The brand new van was nice. My daughters and I had brought cleaning supplies to perform a second cleaning so we cleaned the van prior to leaving the site. No issues with the equipment.wayne W.

Pick-up process via mobile phone was very difficult. Directions were unclear; they should CLEARLY state specific steps to take, like downloading the app ahead of time and creating an account (which takes time to become active). Directions should say the key is inside the back of the truck (it didn't say that, so I didn't know where to look for it. I thought it was in the lock because the directions very specifically described how to open the lock). I'm a tech savvy person, and it took me 40 minutes to pick up the truck.Adrienne L.

I wish I had rented from this location last week. My Rental experience last week was very unpleasant. Didn't receive any instructions from the Rental Location and got charged for an extra day's rental because they didn't close out the rental when I returned the vehicle. I like the online rental return procedure just wish last weekend's rental location had told me about it! U-Haul needs to ensure that their rental locations are giving full instructions to their customers.John A.
