I made a reservation two months prior to my move for a 15 foot truck. The day before the move, U-Haul contacted me and let me know that the 15 foot truck was no longer available in the entire county of San Diego. They offered me a 10 foot truck and indicated that the truck and the trailer that I needed were at two different locations. Not only did they offer me a smaller truck and vehicle. They also made me go to two different locations. Once I arrived to the second location the gentleman who was supposed to help me with loading the vehicle refused to help me indicating that it was a liability. I notified him. I did not need him to physically assist me loading the vehicle onto the trailer as I knew, it was a liability however, words would do just fine. The gentleman proceeded to tell me it was still a liability and he would not help me verbally. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I will never go with u-haul again. You lost a customer

MICHAEL EI was charged for 2gallons of gas. I only went 24 miles & I put in 3 gallons of gas. They claim I was 1.9 gallons short on a 24 mile trip. I rented a 20ft truck on the 19th & made the same trip of 24 miles. I put in 3 gallons of gas & returned the truck without a 1.9 gallons fuel fee. I hate it when I get ripped off. I spoke to agent at 2101 Adams ave & they couldn't do anything for me. Someone working there is ripping people off. I will never use U-Haul (U-RIPOFF) again. I will let YELP know of the problem at the adams U-haul.

Edgar HWe were told that I could drop the auto trailer off after hours. The lot was absolutely rammed with really nowhere to park the trailer. There was another couple dropping off a small truck at the same time. The spot that they parked their truck was really the only available spot for me to park said trailer. I took it all in and pointed out an area that they could move their truck to, freeing up the spot for me. They obliged. They told me that there was a woman inside who never came out. That would have been helpful, having someone help us. Having said that, we were on site WAY after hours. We pulled it off but it could have not gone well without some customer teamwork.

STEPHEN GThis was my second visit to the Adam’s Avenue location. The first visit was dropping an enclosed trailer after a cross-country trip from the East coast. I stopped in front of the location, and the guys had me unhooked, and on my way in a few minutes. This visit was for a short distance move with an open 5’x9’ trailer. Again, the guys working there hooked the trailer up, and I was on my way in a matter of minutes. I dropped the trailer off the same afternoon, and again, spent a few minutes making the drop off. I don’t know how this could be any easier.
JOHN AIt would be nice if the site really emphasized that your choice of pick up and drop off is unlikely and will be changed based upon supply. That was frustrating. Also, the app is glitchy on photo taking and doesn’t allow for situations where the vehicle is parked really close to another vehicle.

The best of U-Haul’s down from trucks, fans, and the big 10 ft and up . I should have today and the manager and the employee that was there. Ivan BAsking a customer when a location is closed to log in, create an account, input contract number with their phone before dropping off the key after returning the vehicle is ridiculous. Once you are done with the rental, why take all that time? All a customer wants to do is drop of the vehicle and leave. The request should be "if there are any issues with the rental, please log in and input the information".

NATHANIEL JThe truck was in good shape and clean, except for the front windshield. It was still covered in bug guts. The tank was about 13/16th's full. This is so either so you will get to charge me double the fuel price to get it to the correct level or hope that I am lazy and just fill it up. This is lazy and thieverous on U-Haul's part. The employees were great.

Had the truck ready, and even though there was 2 people ahead of me, I think I was in and out in about 15 minutes or less. Would definitely rent again from U-Haul.
