I had mention various times drop off location would be differ, reps on phone informed no fee, but apparently didn’t put it in system until I called after the location mentioned it was never set up. The location charged me twice and I’m still waiting for refund for one of the charges. Which made sense at all besides the fact that they didn’t want to one way the product.

The rolling door on the back of the cargo space was so hard to move that I ended up wrenching my shoulder trying to get it closed. The parking was difficult and cramped and the after-hours return process was a circus. SO many mandatory interior photos and exterior photos were required; I was in the rain in the dark and couldn't see anything through the camera anyway; I just wanted to leave! I ended up absolutely DRENCHED, just trying to get dark pictures for the automated return site. Trying to get a storage unit using the advert that had "one month free storage rental!" on the inside of the truck turned out to be deceptive advertising-- only available on one-way moves, rather than local. And, even though I ended up getting a storage unit with Uhaul because it advertised 24 hours access, it turned out that this was only if you purchased extended hours. I would have gone with another company if I had known what all the hidden fees were. You need to be more upfront with your pricing and less about the advertising you can't follow through on. And, even when I rented a storage unit from Uhaul up on Clairemont Mesa, I couldn't return the Truck to that Uhaul without paying extra! I had to drive it all the way back to Adams in the pouring rain on the freeway at night. Then, upon return, I found out from the sign on the door that there would be a $30 fee for failing to turn in a copy of the lease agreement with the keys; this was never told to me at the initial rental! Of course, a "copy" of my lease agreement was in my email inbox this morning-- you know, too late to avoid the fee. I will say this, though-- when I had to keep the truck for 24 hours longer than I anticipated, the cost to do so was pretty reasonable. I just had to search high and low for the right number to call, and when I did, the CS rep that answered the phone was rude. So, all in all: needs better communication, less empty promises with glowing platitudes, and easier use. I will be renting from elsewhere in the future. I'd say using Uhaul was the biggest mistake of my move.

I had reserved a van, but it was already given to the previous customer (I arrived 5 minutes late for my reservation). The staff offered me a larger truck for the same price. I was completely satisfied. Thank you!

I arranged for moving help on through the movinghelp link on uhaul.com. Unfortunately, the movers didn't show up in the morning as they had agreed to do. This meant that I waited for them for half a day and then still had to find another helper.Now, they have charged my bank for work that wasn't done. The 800 number on the bank charge sends me to Uhaul, and they can't help in any way with the movers. So, why is the Uhaul number on the bank charge. I contacted the movers and they said to go to movinghelp.com. It's a circle and nobody is willing to help refund my money.
