Recently I needed to rent a 20’ truck load with U-Haul to move staff from my garage to storage. The conditions of the truck were dirty, on the outside the windshield was dusty and truck was a little over then half tank. Not clean. I had an issue with the ramp not closing all the way. I stopped by the rent center, Ochoa Smog307 E 4th St Hanford, CA 93230 and the manager did not act cooperatively. they kept saying they were too busy and claim is not their problem and to call Uhaul. Saying that they were a third party. I kept talking to him and eventually he checks under the truck, and he said there is a bend and he starts telling me that I misused the ramp when that is not the case and he kept saying when you got truck the ramp was functional. I only used it once and at the night before and it had this problem. Instead of helping and contacting Uhaul for support he keeps saying his not his problem to contact them. I contacted Uhaul and explained the situation. They worked with me and extended my contract for 3 more hours due to this issue and reported to this Rent center about the poor customer service. I do not recommend this location due to the customer service and I seriously question the maintenance of the truck. Next time if you decide rent a Uhaul truck ask them to pull the ramp in and out Infront of you to avoid this problem.

richard fListen to feedback BUT we honestly don’t think it would help. Your company in Ca comes across as whatever is more convenient for YOU guys Even returning the truck. When we picked up the truck the windshield was sooo dirty and then the driver side mirror kept malfunctioning and slipping down.. This while having to drive in and through SoCal and Phoenix, AZ. Now the AZ office here was gracious and we appreciate their help. Will, we choose U-Haul again? Not if we can help it. BTW… my wife & I have been married 51 years and through the years have used U-Haul, but unfortunately not anymore. We $ 1000 for a dirty truck with a malfunctioning mirror. Again, when we called customer service they were gracious but couldn’t fix what already had been done. Also, we were prepared and booked well ahead and still … instead of picking up U-Haul in town we live had to drive out of town. Then, where we moved there was a U-Haul place a mile from us BUT no, too convenient for us… so we disrobe a 1/2 hour to drop off. We do wish your company the best, BUT there needs to be changes.
