I put the truck back to 1/4 tank of gas like I was asked, and they lied on the return and said it was under and charged me for a fuel surcharge . And the km seems way higher then what I actually did , by about 40 km . Will never be using U-Haul again.
FRASER JVery disappointed. I added a dolly to my request and removed damage waiver ($16 extra). When I went to pick up the dolly they didn't have the one I requested, but they had the one for appliances. It would have been an upcharge from $7 to $10. I asked if I could get it at the same price, they said no. So then I pointed to their garuntee that said if they didn't have everything (including equipment) they would be required to pay me $50. Needless to say they did not honor that saying it only applied to the truck. So they had to make a new contract to remove the dolly and then charged the waiver. So when I returned the truck it was greater than the $28 quote I was given. It went to $57. They then said it must have been the fuel charge or that I added the damage waiver. I literally only drove 4 miles so the fuel charge was $6. Nevermind the REALLY BAD attitude of the guy working there who literally when I picked up the truck and he finished his walk around threw the contract in the truck and walked away because I challenged them on their garuntee. Well congratulations I'm making a formal complaint.
