I am going to be lodging a formal complaint with U-HAUL after being told that I would be required to travel over 150 miles to get my truck. I had reserved the vehicle three weeks prior to the scheduled pick up. The final solution was to rent two trucks and then having to arrange an additional ferry reservation and make arrangements for a third driver to come down from British Columbia.Daniel C.

They had me drop of the truck at a place that isn't even open on the weekends. So I had no help. And the drop off place was getto to the least say. The parking lot was really bad and some the storage units was burned out and it looked like it had been that way for a while. So I do believe that this was by far the worst experience I've ever had with uhaul and I will have to think long and hard if I will rent from uhaul again. From dishonest people and being scammed by uhaul people I really don't know what to say other than I was taken advantage of so that I could be charged for a one way rental. F RATINGJohn H.

Gate was closed, nobody was there, drive was not long enough to accommodate the truck.when I signed up this site was listed as drop off, app allowed drop off then I was charged to have the truck relocated. Truck when empty was nearly impossible to drive at time with the front end hopping, not likely to ever use UHaul again afyer tjis experience.Michael M.

The above comments are for the location on Guide Meridian in Bellingham, not the burned-out-but-adequate location listed above. I erroneously selected, then used, the Guide Meridian location as my drop-off instead of the Airport Storage location. Sadie from the Guide Meridian location worked with the Seattle-based dispatcher to resolve my error, saving me hundreds. I was absolutely furious at first and threatened legal action, but thanks to Sadie's research, I learned (to my embarrassment) that I was the one in error. When I arrived to drop off the Uhaul, there was nobody onsite and there were not clear directions on where to park and what paperwork to leave. I found myself wondering if I was really at the right place. When I called the number listed on the box, there was a voicemail recording for the month of August.Lindsey M.

The location was not the problem, it was the initial uHaul bookings and communications with Victoria out of Port Moody that made my trip a nightmare. I had filled out all the necessary information online with my reservation. I arrived to pick up my trailer only to find that the only person there was mainly a shuttle driver and had no training on how to check out a trailer. A simple check of the information I had entered ended up being an hour and a half wait while the individual tried to update my order but had multiple issues that he needed to call his boss and the Uhaul rep. These were not computer network problems as he stated, they were his erroneous entries that changed the correct entries I had previously entered. TRAIN YOUR PEOPLE!!!Douglas S.

We reserved a 24 ft truck and were given a 17ft truck which increased our mileage expense by 4x the amount expected. Your sign reads 'Reservations Guaranteed' but this is not the case. I do not believe I should have had to pay mileage since this was a Uhaul error! Worst customer service I have ever received. The person at the pick up location could only say, "It isn't my fault."Bob N.

We arrived @ 8:45 am for a 9:00 am pick-up and the truck was there but not checked in and we had to wait for another employee to arrive to actually check in the truck. Finally after 45 minutes we drove the truck off the lot without an itemized receipt. We still have not received an itemized receipt from the pick up location. We got a late start on a very long day because the truck was not ready to pick up at the guaranteed time of 9:00 am. I would not recommend this location for a truck rental.JULIE M.

When we arrived the only person on the property could not be found. The couple of trucks they had were not clean and ready to go and the tires on one of the trucks looked worn out. Once we found him - at least he was courteous. But I think he needs someone else to help run it - trying to do too much at one time running another business on the property.karen S.

The place was all right, and the man who was working there was rather friendly and helpful, but the office area had a strange odor; it smelled strongly of a cross between curry, dirty diapers, and rotting garbage. The smell was disgusting, and it nearly made me sick.nathan R.

The trailor was rusted with bald tires...the man didn't check to see if the lights worked on the trailor, therefore we had to take it to another location in bellingham to have the wires fixed. I did not recieve a copy of my contract because their printer was broken...I will never use this location again!!!VICKI G.

No one there during posted working hours, office locked. We lost a cell phone (dropped in the truck) and I called and reported it. He emailed the phone was found. I left voice mail and emailed when I would pick it up. Again, the office locked during posted work hours. Note on the door said come to Arco. I went to Arco he wasn't there. I left 3 voice mails to call me so I could pick up the phone. No response yet. He is nice on the phone and did email the cell phone was found, but not being available during work hours is very frustrating. I would not be able to recommend this location to anyone. The hours did not open until 10AM. This seemed late for most to pick up a truck. We arrived 20 minutes and were very happy to find out sales person inside and he took care of us right away.KIM L.
Although the owner was helpful, he did not hook up my equipment properly and could have caused a disaster if I had not unhitched and rehitched the trailer before loading my vehicle. (The ball screw was not tightened and the chains were not properly crossed) The equipment was ready and clean however.WILLIAM S.
