Truck was cleaned and ready to go, but once night set, noted the headlights were aimed very low and sideways, had to drive with high beams just to see a little of the road ahead of me. Visibility probably limited to 50%. Older style truck had a very short ramp making loading and unloading heavy items a bit more challenging. Most everything else worked well. Scheduled rental a few weeks in advance to make sure a truck was available at our local community, but had to drive over an hour each way to pick up the truck which was larger than requested and consumed more fuel with no additional compensation on a time schedule that was very limited as we had family coming in from out of town to assist with the loading process. Then we saw that insurance had been added to the contract which we had not requested as we had confirmed with our personal insurance company that they do indeed cover moving trucks under our existing plans. This was not noted until reviewing the final contract.Wayne C.

When I pick up the truck the Gas gate show half tank so when I done I refilled back to half tank and they say that the gate was 9/16so they charge me extra $35 that it not RightLan T.

Ensure when you do select to do everything online, it does not have to be done again in person. Do give me a reservation for when I can't get a vehicle and then tell me my reservation is ready and then change the times on me. This is a joke.John A.

This location was great it was supposed to be picked up at a different location, but no one was there, so they changed me to this location, the other location screwed me up I didn't make my appointment so now I have to rent one next week as wellAlan R.

The size truck we needed and reserved was not available and changed to a smaller one a few days previous to pickup. Was a bit upset there were 5 (five) of the size trucks on site at the time of pick-up. I understand rental equipment is constantly in flux, yet I should not have been able to reserve something that was not available to begin with.Kevin B.

I didn't get the appliance dolly when I picked up the truck after hours. I had to go back later when they opened to get it. In addition, I was charged for a service dolly $7 in addition to the appliance dolly $10. I did not rent a service dolly and I should not have been charged for it!Alvin A.
I dont want to check out my own uhaul! I expect to got to a professional uhaul place with people to assist you with the truck! Im not employed at uhaul so why do I have to inventory and checknlist likenthis is my truck! And they made me add more miles than I actually drove when i returned it! no fault of this pick up place..but our truck HAD a GAS leak under the truck. It was hidden by the BIG steel plate that covers the hose. I had to help the roadside guy fix the leak. Once we got the metal plate off we found the hose had a CUT in it and was fixed with DUCT tape. So someone had to have done this cheap ass repair then put the metal plate back on. This was hidden for ANY future customer and could have been a BIG safety problem. I have contacted the local so called area boss and all he did was blame me for this repair. I will be elevating this above his head as this was a repair not someone trying to steal the gas as he said.DAVID C.

My experience was horrible. The web base 24/7 option is glitchy and is not clear. The compatibility does not work well while using iphone. The options were not clear for a first time user to distinguish between â€œin townâ€ towing and out of town towing. The location to drop off should not be optional as it would clarify your estimated cost if you chose between in town towing or not. Worst part is I'm not giving the option to edit the location without starting over my whole order. The virtual check in option is terrible too! There should be an option to type in the location instead of only using â€œShare my locationâ€ option. If I was not tech savvy I would of had no option to check in because no one was there in person, and they didn't pick up the phone AND they didn't have a voicemail set up. The truck was dusty and came with low tire pressure in the tires. Some of the several customer service agents I had to go through were okay, as I was on hold for over an hour to speak with someone about trying to change my reservation, this is after I used the call back option. I waited an hour to get a call back, was given the option to choose what I would like to do, apparently didn't go fast enough and it hung up on me WTF? Only to finally get through to an agent in the Santa Clarita office to be met with sarcasm, a lack of understanding with AND no solution to my issue. All he kept saying was â€œit was in the contractâ€ he rather be a smart ass than to treat me with some Decency and understand my perspective (he was the worst, I wish I knew his name) Luckily, the final person I spoke to was more understanding and patient with giving me some options. And having to drive another 100miles to avoid a late fee that could of been resolved by given me the option to edit my order before submitting. Which doubled! My estimated cost. What a waste of money. All in all, I rather deal with budget truck than uhaul. Never againDerrin F.
