Park trucks with driver side door facing away from building, that way plus sized customers dont have to get into driver seat from passanger door. Have bigger/longer parking spots out front, to make it easier to drop off truck without blocking gate, and also have more parking spots outside of gate, in case other customers drop off their trucks or have their vehicles parked there.

Quick, efficient & professional. Of course there is not much of an experience to rate anymore, as UHaul seems to have effectively "flipped the script" and customers now pay to do pretty much the entire job of it's associates.

Parking was difficult! Truck was frozen solid with no scraper for wind shield The employee was filling in and the operating system was very different (Not his fault) and so difficult check in. He worked hard to accomodate, but the facility wasn’t prepared.

Alliance Storage had been my go to for years. They are always so kind and polite . If it happens to be cold outside they start your rental and warm it up for you. I highly recommend using Alliance Rental. Great people and great service.

Friendly and helpful staff in the office. They helped me get set up and gave me all the info I needed to return the truck. Truck parking is limited and tricky because of the narrow road and tight turns to get in. Probably not much they can do about that, but it did make returning the truck challenging.

I was charged a cleaning fee because I parked the truck in the "wrong" place although I parked in the exact same spot that I did the day prior with the different rental at the same location. Due to the limited space at this facility, it was advised to park on the street; however, one of the local agents told me that I will get a ticket if I park in certain areas during the day. When I returned this rental during normal business hours, there were no spaces on the street available, so I pulled up to the office where I had returned a truck the day prior (which was I was informed was "no problem" according to the agent on duty that day. After I parked the truck I went to the office but noticed a sign on the door indicating that someone would return to the office at 3:30pm. It was 3:51pm. Another customer spoke to me and said he had been waiting since 3:30pm and said that no one was available. We talked for a few minutes thinking the agent would return soon but they did not. By 4pm, I decided to deposit the keys into the return box thinking they must have closed early (posted hours were 9am to 5pm for that day). The truck was returned with more gas than at the beginning of the rental and it was swept clean with the two rented furniture dollies left in the cargo bay with the door shut and latched. Later that day, I received an email receipt indicating that I was charged a cleaning fee for the truck rental. It was 4:47pm, so I called the Uhaul office and spoke to Sarah who said the truck was returned clean, but arbitrarily decided to charge me a "cleaning fee" because I parked in the wrong spot. She rudely indicated that I should have read the sign on the door indicating to park on the street. I reassured her that I had indeed read the sign but informed her that there were no parking spots on the street and that the only space available had a sign indicating that vehicles were not permitted to park there blocking access to the mailbox. Sarah said I was blocking the gate, which I was not. Two cars entered and exited while I parked there waiting for the agent to return to the office. Even the other customer said that he could get in and out no problem and that the truck was in a "safe" spot. While on the phone, Sarah continued to inform me I was wrong and did not heed the arbitrary policy posted on her door. I informed her that the posted paper policy did not mention the cleaning fee penalty. She felt I was deserving of the penalty because I didn't play by the rules in parking the truck in the wrong place. Needless to say, her conduct in enforcing an arbitrary policy and penalty eroded my confidence in Uhaul and this location after renting there several times over the past couple of years. I will never rent from them again and will advise others to look elsewhere when needing moving services and storage. Sadly, this was a complete let-down and thanks to Sarah's rudeness and harsh treatment of a long-time customer of Uhaul, I no longer will use Uhaul in the future.

Although the drop off location was 1000 miles away from the pickup location, it seemed a bit expensive to rent a 5 x 8 enclosed trailer for 5 days @ $100 per day…then return it in 4 days with no credit.

Pick up was complicated and very time consuming. We were not able to take a selfie and photo of an id as the videos explained. We had to upload multiple documents and could not get through to customer service for more than 40 minutes. The app was not efficient or streamlined. We were on time to our pickup time and could not leave with the truck until 45 minutes or more after our pickup time.

Improve wait times. It was 45 minutes wait to pick up and to drop off on each end. If I had known that, I would have chosen the self-serve option that was further from home (charging me more in mileage costs,and making me do the work U-Haul should do, but my time is worth it and standing around for a total of and hour and half on a moving day is not a good way to make me want to come back.

Truck was full of dirt when we got it and covered in scratches. Location was impossible to park at, had no room in the parking lot itself and no on street parking. Equipment itself was usable but very old. Our fault for returning late, but by 10 minutes is pretty disappointing to be charged $20.

Holy shit, where to begin. I understand this company deals with frustrated people on a daily basis, however the staff that I interacted with were extremely uninterested in any sort of sympathy. I was on the side of the road for 10hrs working with roadside assistance, and only 10min from a Uhaul dealer and there was no resolution to my problems. I ended up having to contract out my move during my Uhaul duration because of major (and might I add unsafe) maintenance issues with the vehicle provided. Rear differential on a Uhaul truck exploded, and they didn’t seem to care that even the tow truck company shook their fingers on moving it further than 5 miles. Nothing short of a disgrace to the people who came up with the company’s forefront idea. Never again will I get inside a Uhaul vehicle.

Remain open throughout the day.That means do not close during mid-day or at the Lunch hour. If a customer needs their equipment for only a half day or so that means staying open during the lunch or mid day period.

We had already selected the location we wanted to drop the uhaul off at when we placed the order online. It was the location closest to our new house and one that accepted after hours returns. For whatever reason, the staff person who assisted us when we picked the truck up modified the drop off location to a uhaul location that is literally just a gas station parking lot that doesn’t accept after hour rentals and was further away for us. We ended up having to drive to another location after contacting customer service. Why the staff person ever felt the need to modify the reservation when I had specifically selected the correct location was infuriating and made for an almost hour long return process.

Truck was dirty. Windshield hadnt been washed and the check engine light was on when i told them about this. They did nothing. The truck had a rough idle the entire trip 1400miles. I was told it had 7/8 of a tank when i got the truck on level ground a few feet infront of the place it was parked i was down to 3/4. The clerk didnt even know to park the truck level. Very disappointed the truck was dirty and poorly maintained absolutely not worth the 1900$ i rented it for
