The car key wasn't in the lockbox, no one was there to respond and it took more than 40 minutes to replace the car with another one

Ulanbek MVehicle has low pressure alert on right rear wheel. Probably needs a plug/patch after extracting what made the the leak. The person who gave me the key was very attentive and helpful by noticing I had left a bag of tools in his car and running across the street with it before I drove away.
John ABe transparent and stop irritating the customers. You guys should learn how to give customer service not the trouble at midnight.
GAJANAND RHave someone at the location when people are picking up their trucks. Nothing online showed this as being a dropbox key pickup. Hair salon that this was being ran out of wasn't open on Mondays which is when I rented my truck. Besides the pickup process, everything else was smooth. Online return process was simple and there was a sign telling you what to do if you were doing a self return, which the pickup process did not have.
Andrew SGas in tank when picked up was very low. Tank should not be rented out with fuel that low.

Michael MVery helpful by answering all our questions. We were not sure of the location and never would have found the correct spot without his assistance. We are very grateful he answered the phone and directed us to the area to park our return vehicle.
JAMES OThe odometer reading in the system was incorrect. I only drove 9 to 10 miles and based on the incorrect reading I was charged for 45 miles. I thought I could trust Uhaul and not have to take a picture of the odometer at the beginning of the rental period. Guess I was wrong. Also the fuel tank was almost empty in the beginning and not 25% like it said in the system. I don't know if it's an issue with the location of uhaul in general but I feel cheated and will not be using the service in the future.
Barun ATruck was falling apart. Disgustingly filthy with jizz on the ceiling and cigarette burns on the drivers seat! I could literally see the outside above my head where cab and box had separated because someone had hit something with box! Good thing it wasn't raining but it was cold! All the engine lights were on and a warning about tires. This was a gross rental experience. I took all local and didn't even take on expressway out of fear of it falling apart.
India MI was wrongly charged for mileage. The pickup location was changed 1 hour before, which added a few miles more to my entire trip.
Saksham SThe entire experience with U-Haul, other than the nice people in Wilmore, was terrible. The original pickup location, despite a reservation, didn’t have any trucks, including mine. The drop off location was closed permanently and the phone number to change drop off location would not answer. Finally dropped the truck at unauthorized location. Hope Enterprise rental is better experience in the future.

Filip GThis location is a hair salon. There is no U-Haul staff at this location. There is only a key-drop box on the exterior of the salon. There is only limited street parking available to return the vehicle.
Tom LThe drop off location was an unmarked section of Roosevelt Ave. if I had not noticed the small orange drop off box attached to a building which housed a barber shop I would not know where to leave the truck. A stranger pointed out to me to just leave the truck on the street. It was very strange.
James HThere is no actually office, I had to go into a barbershop to have someone call me, there is nowhere to park the cars except the street which was extremely difficult with a big truck during rush hour.

The person on the other line asked for my credit card information, and I said "Uhaul already has it online".. It was just a very sketchy experience

Alla KThe Allure location was good - everything was easy to pickup, but it was much trickier at night. The club nearby was pretty active and blocked off the lot and a lot of the parking space out front so it took a bit to figure out whether a spot nearby was acceptable. Ultimately, although the location was good, my experience with the app was ABSOLUTELY MISERBLE. I got sent to Allure from another location because apparently that location did not setup the vehicle for my after-hours 24/7 booking. The app was NOT helpful at all - but I got sent over, I spent 1/2hr on hold because the help number on the app provided was a general number. The app was already taking a drain on my phone and had force restarted but I did manage to get on a chat and finally received a separate Scheduling number where I did get through to someone. And thankfully she helped me get to Allure. Dropoff was terrible because my truck had a maintenance error (oil change light) - and on that truck, this error would block out the odometer, so the app camera was a mess and would not allow me to finish check out. I finally just locked the van, dropped the key in the dropbox, and using code provided by my interaction with Scheduling explained everything and it looks like it worked out. But who knows what happened wtih the app? The Uhaul app has so much promise and it is a genius idea to expand to off-hour bookings in a city like Chicago, but I had a terrible experience because the app still needs so much work so that people don't get stranded in the middle of the night. Look to GetAround and Turo apps for inspiration, they have figured out the car check in/check out process.

AIDA CI reserved over a month ago and thought I’d be picking up in oak lawn. Instead, I was given a location that took over an hour to get to. The person I spoke to initially offered some extra miles which didn’t even cover the extra distance. There were no other discounts per the rep that could be given for the inconvenience. I did call back and the person said there was nothing closer and added 50 miles but no other discount

Darnell WTake fewer than two day to check the truck in. Actually respond to my asking for instruction/direction/ to have someone look at the truck. I drove by the day after dropping off the truck and the rear door was open.
Joseph LThe truck ran and performed well. The truck was uncomfortable to drive and had no cruise control It was cleaned out but not clean. The staff I dealt with at both locations were very nice and helpful. Communication ahead of the rental was weak. Example, my pickups location was changed and had I not seen it on the email I received I would not have gone to the correct location as I was never informed.
Edward BI was outside the location for more than 30mins without access to my rental truck. The U-HAUL phone number posted did not work and the office was CLOSED. I spent almost an hour waiting for someone to arrive so I could access my rental truck. I DO NOT recommend this location.

Keisha B- The site where i made a appointment to rent my vehicle was not opened and an individual who shared the hair salon next door informed me that I would need to call the number she provided in order to contact someone to get my vehicle. - The van that was rented was not clean (dirty flood, drink holders, etc.) only had 1/8 a tank of gas, and had the check engine light on at the time of pickup. - The moving blankets and moving equipment I ordered were not provided.

Alicia MThe person I worked with was very helpful and clear in communication. It was simple to pick up and drop off the truck. He managed all the paperwork and emailed me right away with receipts. I ordered a dolly but it wasn’t at the location I picked up and had to drive a few blocks to get it and he didn’t charge me for the dolly. Very clear with the directions. I would recommend this place for anyone moving on the West side, south loop or west loop area!
