The location was fine. The van windshield has an air leak that made a horrible noise over 50 mph. Discovered when I used the windshield washer the sound would go away for about 5 minutes due to the liquid filling the air leak. My windshield was very clean and I drained the washer fluid making th noise go away.Robert M.

This was the first time I used the mobile check in/turn in process. It did work as intended, but it took a while to go through all the tasks. The process asked me to upload my driver's license AGAIN, after having done it a day or two before. Other than that, it was pretty smooth.John E.
I've used U-Haul rentals before. This experience was excellent, as were the previous times. It would seem that U-Haul wants to deliver a great experience and have sought to find ways to make that happen. For example, I accidently booked the same rental twice while trying to edit my current rental contract. I was called by customer service in less than a minute and asked if this was what I had intended to do. Rent two trucks for the same time and place. I said no, and they instantly fixed the problem. Quite impressive. I'll use U-Haul again when I need a reliable van and a great experience. Customer service at the pick-up and drop- off location was also spot on. Good business to work with. Everything at Al's Old Fashioned is the way it should be. Straight forward and clear. No Sales pitch and no broken promises. When they say you'll have a truck, you do! I use them for all of our company business, they never let me down. They go above and beyond to assist with every reservation. They even taught me how to connect my own hitch so I could pull a travel trailer! And when my plans change (which they often do), they're available by phone at any hour to call and make additional arrangements or add to my reservation. Last but not least they communicate through direct texting which is huge when you're busy packing a move or loading a truck. The last thing you want when you've been moving all day is to run into issues upon your rental return. That's never the case here. They're on it, always providing great customer service. These are GOOD PEOPLE running a solid business. I drive out of my way from Medford just to rent in Ashland because this team makes every transaction simple and smooth. Odometer reading at pickup was 14322, contract indicated much less. Couldn't get my phone to take pic and none was there to explain problem to. Called "Ron" next day and explained was told he'd take care.of it when truck returned. "Ron" wasn't there upon return but spoke over the phone and he told me to text the explanation next day. I did but have been charged based on the incorrect odometer reading on documents, not truck reading. I drove the truck a maximum of 180 miles and should be charged accordingly. I feel misled and patronized. By far the worst Uhaul experience I have encountered over many years of past usage.Allen K.

Don't put a timeline on when I have to be there (ie. before noon- even though the website advertised this location was open until 5), then after rushing to get there by noon, only to find out no one had even showed up that day. Pretty stressful. Fellow said he'd sweep out the trailer before we took it out. He did not. My husband had to ask him as the trailer was dirty. I had some challenges with remote check in but we were able to handle it over the phone fairly quickly. One recommendation is to let customers know the trucks are in the back! I was charged for a larger truck than I rented, I think. I rented a 15 foot truck and thought the rate was $29 for the day but the invoice lists a higher rate. The employee there was great and professional. There must have been either a miscommunication or I was accidentally overcharged.Thomas S.

I was picking up the truck and wanted to pick it up at 1:45 pm. I could not pick it up because the office was closed, after that I called the phone number that was written on the door, the person who answered him said that he left for lunch and would only be at 4 pm, I told him that I had reserved the truck for 1 : 45 pm, he replied that he could not help. after that I turned to those support, they promised me that now a person would come in 25 minutes and give me the keys, no one came in for 15 minutes, I called again they said they would come at 3 pm, then they accused me of calling them often and that it was not their problem, in the end the man arrived only at 3:40 pm and said that the truck was generally open and the keys were inside ... are you serious? I rent trucks almost every week but never had such a disgusting experience. and yes, when I booked the truck, it was written that U-Haul guarantees the reservation and if something goes wrong it will refund me $ 50. where is my $ 50? please reply to this message and take action.Bulat S.
